"I'm sure the project will grant me power to perform magic among other uses," said Twilight to her video camera.
On the table was a mix of different chemicals in a bowl that Twilight mixed together a few mins ago. If everything goes as planned, she'll be able to conjure up magic from her fingertips and maybe something more but for right now she had to focus on putting it on a syringe then injecting it into her bloodstream if she had a chance for it to work.
"Now fans it is time for my experiment to see if it works," sais Twilight as she picked up the small bowl.
A tremor caused the bowl to end up on her head and the chemicals ended up on Twilight's head instead injected in her arm like planned earlier. She howled in pain as the chemicals dug itself into her head, a few moments later a horn popped out of Twilight's forehead which put her into a state of shock.
"What the? How did this horn get here?" asked Twilight as she looked at her new horn in a mirror.
The horn looked like it was fresh out of the market or something so Twilight decided to test it out with a few empty bottles she found in the dumpster outside her house.
"Alright horn show me what you got," said Twilight.
The horn glowed a purple hue around a bottle but her hands fired a laser or blaster of some sort. She decided to blast the bottle which when Twilight did, the bottle turned into nothing but shattered glass on the floor which Twilight cleaned up.
"Incredible," exclaimed Twilight as the purple hue on her horn and hands disappeared.
Trying to figure out what happened to herself was going to take a lot of tests and dangerous experiments but Twilight didn't care as long as she knew what she was dealing with magic wise. She couldn't let this go out of control or it would have deadly consequences, so this was a big challenge ever. After a few months of endless tests and experiments she finally decided to head to bed for the night.
"I could use the sleep it's been a long night," said Twilight who yawned.
She turned out her light in her lab then headed for bed until a lightning storm interrupted a deep thought she was in and she looked outside to see a giant lightning strike hitting the ground.
"What in the world is that?" asked Twilight.
The strike kept hitting the ground at a fast rate and was coming closer but no rain followed the lightning which made Twilight even more puzzled but of course she went to sleep to brace for tomorrow.
"Yes of course master I'll be sure to take care of Miss Sparkle," said Skyrocket who was talking to Puppet Master.
"Do be careful Sky, Miss Twilight is not to sleep on," concerned Puppet.
"I've got this trust me," said Skyrocket with a reassuring look on her face and ended the Skype call.
Skyrocket had the strength of a wolf pack and speed unlike anyone else, her hair was jet black with a white streak on one of the strands. Puppet had special instructions to hunt and kill Twilight Sparkle as soon as possible for some unknown reason she didn't want to know to be honest all she wanted was to see blood all over her hands and to be Twilight's blood.
"Tonight Sparkle your going to pay for your crimes and this time you won't escape," said Skyrocket as she grabbed her .45 caliber revolver then left her house.
Back at Twilight's house she curled up in her bed dreaming of being in a field of nothing more than books and other things until a loud crash woke her up, shooting out of her bed wasn't a chore at all so Twilight went downstairs to check the noise then a click of a gun stopped her dead.
"Don't even think of moving or I'll let you see what color your brain looks like," said Skyrocket angrily.
Twilight stood there with her hands up and Sky cuffed her and dragged her outside to a secret facility in Metropolis where there was only one light and a glass panel that was about 15 inches from them, even though Twilight had no idea why she was dragged out here in the first place; Puppet walked in and walked in a circle making Twilight a little uncomfortable but had a good reason to.
"Miss Sparkle you know the reason we brought you here? The reason is that you have something that belongs to us so give it here or we'll be forced to use other tactics," demanded Puppet as she lifted Twilight's chin as a way to intimidate her.
"I won't tell you anything! I will never reveal anything to you!" said Twilight.
Her horn glowed a bright light that blinded both Puppet and Skyrocket which bought her enough time to escape quickly but was stopped by a locked door with a fingerprint scanner and when she tried to use her finger, the access was denied.
"Shit, well it's a good thing I have Puppet's fingerprints on record," said Twilight as she used his prints to open the door and ran back to her house.
As she went inside she called her #1 assistant Spike who was vacationing in the Pacific Islands for the week; Twilight's face looked frantic and Spike could tell right away that something was wrong.
"Spike is that suit you made ready? I need it right now to combat an enemy," said Twilight.
"It's still in the testing phase but I'm concerned how you will use it," said Spike.
"It's an emergency," said Twilight.
"Alright it's in the basement where we left it the last time, just be careful," said Spike as he hung up the phone.
"Okay Twilight time to suit up," said Twilight.
Chapter 2 Heroes are made
Opening the case with her own fingerprints scan which revealed a suit like outfit with goggles as if she was flying an airplane but not in that order Twilight grabbed the suit, examining it making sure her suit wasn't ripped or torn in anyway shape or form.
"Alright time to put this suit to the test...field test to be exact," said Twilight as she put on the suit; even calling herself Masked Matterhorn because of the horn on top of her head.
All of a sudden Spike walked in putting his bags down then went downstairs to the basement to see the new hero: Masked Matterhorn aka Twilight Sparkle, seeing that was an awesome and still a little bit odd that her own friend and great scientist was a superhero.
"How does the suit and goggles feel," asked Spike examining Twilight to make sure everything was in order.
"It's a little tight but I'll get used to it although my goggles are pretty cool," said Twilight as she tapped on her goggles to reveal a lot of amazing things including an Evidence Scanner.
Twilight tested out the new mods for her goggles then typed up Skyrocket on her laptop. She wanted to know why she attacked her earlier, her curious mind hungered for more knowledge like a hungry lion spotting it's prey. Her laptop had Sky's background of how her parents sexually abused her, she left the Philippines to start a new life serving Puppet Master as his own personal assassin. After they read that it gave Twilight more of a reason to take her down so she tracked Skyrocket down in a old chemical plant downtown.
"Wait your going downtown?" asked Spike.
"I have no other option, I have to stop Skyrocket even if my life is on the line that's what it means to be a hero," said Twilight proudly.
She flew out of the house quick as a whip, this was her chance to prove herself that she too can be a hero too. Flying fast and avoiding traffic in the process made Twilight determined but also nervous. Don't be nervous you got this thought Twilight.
Meanwhile, Skyrocket grabbed her dual handguns then braced for Masked Matterhorn's arrival knowing that trying to get Twilight to answer a question about a robot A.I. nicknamed Sweetie Bot 9000 which was a dangerous A.I. that shouldn't be able to be sent out into the world unknowing about the danger of releasing a robot but this wasn't Sky's concern, her own concern was to assassinate Masked Matterhorn aka Twilight Sparkle.
All of a sudden Twilight busted inside and grabbed Sky by her neck; throwing her through a plate of glass which led to a chemical room where other scientists worked on experiments in a more sense deadly experiments such as radiation etc.
Sky fires a bullet at Twilight which aimed at her head but Twilight used her magic shield to block the bullet's path and cause it to fizzle out into nothing but dust.
"Miss Sparkle do you really think you can hide all that information from us," said Skyrocket circling Twilight's magic shield like a lion stalking it's prey before striking.
"You know the A.I. is dangerous and would cause total damnation upon us all!" exclaimed Twilight angrily as she sent a shockwave of magic which caused Skyrocket to fly into some robot parts, Sky got up and dived up and punches Twilight in the air knocking her down to the ground, Masked Matterhorn kicked her up and threw her out of the window and one of the window pieces went through her heart killing the assassin.
Twilight huffed and puffed then passed out on the ground but with a smile on her face
"My work is done," said Twilight as Spike came in and carried the successful hero back home to rest.
