The heavy lashing of rain, splashing against the stone road, and the occasional roll of thunder, blocked out any sound of the slowly walking pony. He turned and smiled at Spira, who nodded politely and returned the smile in greeting. The bar keeper walked up to the counter and folded his hooves on the counter.
“What can I get you miss?” He asked.
“Just an orange juice to drink for now,” The bar keeper nodded and turned to a small fridge “I have a question though, if you wouldn’t mind answering.” Spira said.
“Sure, hit me.” He said pouring the drink and dropping a couple cubes of ice inside before sliding it to the unicorn.
“Well, see, I’m a traveller, I don’t really have a home to stay in, so I was wondering if you had a room I could stay in for the night, or know of some place?” Spira asked, the bar tender smiled sadly.
“Sorry miss but I have no rooms here and I don’t run a bed and breakfast at my house, sorry.” Spira sighed.
“Thank you anyway.” She said.
Spira downed her drink and glanced outside at the still lashing water, juggling her options. She had a few ‘unique’ skills, however she wasn’t one to force a pony to do such a thing… Though her morals were being seriously strained at the concept of putting up with that rain for much longer. “P-please.” She sobbed softly.
“Course, I’m Sound Box by the way, pleasure to meet you.” Sound said turning and leading Spira along the opposite path to the one she had been following.
“Spira Trance.” Spira said.
“Nice to meet you Spira.”
Sound led Spira along a winding dirt path to a secluded brick house, a small stream cut across the garden to the right of the house, almost flooding over from the heavy rain, a tiled porch, with a small table and three deck chairs, surrounded by a wild meadow. Clearly Sound was no gardener. Sound walked up to the damp oak door and fitted a key inside pushing the door open and holding it for Spira. The pair retreated inside and Sound closed and locked the door before a small light, in a wire ball, lit up the hallway. To the left of the hallway was a set of stairs leading up, forward led to what looked like a kitchen and the right to a large living room.
Sound folded the umbrella up and leant it against the corner next to the door, before walking into the living room. Unsure of what to do, Spira lifted her drenched cloak off with her magic once more and followed Sound, where she found him attempting to coax the fireplace into lighting up. With a soft whoosh the room began to flicker and dance with light, Sound threw some logs onto the small flames and then sat back, hooves outstretched towards the enticing warmth. Sound looked over at Spira who looked a little nervous.
“Come on, I don’t bite Spira, you can lie your coat down beside the fire to dry it off if you want.” Spira slowly joined beside Sound and sat down on her haunches.
Spira smiled faintly, she couldn’t remember the last time she’d curled up against a fire, or any kind of real warmth, since before she’d started travelling.
“Perhaps travelling is not for you.” Sound said as if reading her mind.
Spira glanced at the generous stallion then sighed.
“Yeah, I thought I’d learn some new tricks for my work but… I just get cold and damp most of the time.” Spira mumbled.
“What do you do exactly?” Sound asked.

Spira walked up the stairs slowly and quietly several minutes later. She still had her cloak with her, it was the only thing she had left, that and what was within the pockets. Spira glanced to her left, pushing the bedroom door open. Spira stood there for several minutes before the bathroom door opened, Spira jumped like she’d been electrocuted and spun around facing Sound. The stallion tilted his head before smirking.
“Sorry for spooking you, was just using the bathroom, well goodnight.” Sound began to walk towards his room, Spira made up her mind.
“Hay Sound,” the second his name was out Spira’s resolve evaporated like boiling water, the stallion turned to look at her.
“Yes Spira?” Spira gulped tapping a hoof nervously against the floor.

“No you can tell me, I won’t think any differently of you.” Spira looked back at the gently smiling stallion and Spira took a deep breath.

Sound didn’t resist or object, following at a brisk pace. Spira pushed the door to Sound’s room open. Sound, his mind unable to resist, complied and his eyes locked to Spira’s, the pendant swinging before them. Sound gasped softly, there was something wrong with Spira’s eyes. With no magic to propel it, Spira’s pendant swung a few more times before spinning around then becoming motionless. Spira, finally free of her own spell, sank into the bath. Her legs were drenched in her own juices, she was both mentally and physically exhausted. Spira curled up and, with a final shudder as another stream of liquid joined the other stains, drifted off to sleep.
Sound woke several hours later from a pleasant dream, in the dream a unicorn had curled around him as if made of mist, her eyes then pulsed and Sound knew it was Spira... Such a wonderful dream. Sound sat up groggily, leaning against the headboard, reality began to leak in through the syrupy hypnosis and Sound sat up straight. He’d had sex with Spira! Sound looked around for her then registered a familiar rough feeling. The rope Spira had used lay in a heart shape on his chest.
Also, Sound noticed a small letter addressed to him.
“Sound, by the time you awaken from our fun I will likely have left.
I’m going to keep travelling for a while but hope, if I become lonely on the road, you will allow me to stay again.

Spira. There was also a picture of Spira’s pendant, which made Sound chuckle.
Sound’s ears twitched suddenly, he could hear running water, Spira hadn’t left yet! Or it was a thief with good personal hygiene, but Sound was sceptical about that. Sound trotted up to the bathroom then slowly, so as to avoid creaking, opened the door. Sound crept up to the shower, sure enough it was Spira. Abandoning stealth, Sound noisily pushed the shower curtain back and climbed in beside a startled Spira.
“Leaving without a proper goodbye, how rude.” Sound said, grinning.
Spira rolled her eyes and chuckled softly.
“So, am I welcome again?” Spira asked
“Depends, can you offer anything so I let you visit?” The pair simultaneously glanced at Spira’s pendant.
“Yes... I think I will have something to offer you when I next visit.” Spira said leaning up and kissing Sound’s cheek before whispering to him.
“I’m sure we’ll have lot’s of fun together, would you mind if I practice any new methods I learn?” Spira asked, moving so she stood against Sound’s shoulder.
“I would love to assist you any way I can... Mistress.” Sound whispered.
“That’s what I thought. “ Spira cooed nuzzling her prize.
She might have to look up that snake potion after all...
