If I didn't leave my friends behind. Equestria would be in total chaos. I left CHS because I was feeling homesick. Once I got to Equestria I had no idea what I was going to get myself into i'm just glad I didn't get in trouble when I returned. The elements of Harmony is what ties friendship together. Laughter , kindness, Loyalty, the element of Empathy and the element of magic. The seven elements finally reunited at last but I think theres more. There are several other elements that can create a recipe for friendship. Theres also been rumors about disharmony elements. Still the mystery of the elements are still unsolved . CHS "We're going to miss you sugar cube." Apple Jack said giving Sunset Shimmer a hug. " Um Sunset will we... ever see you again?" Flutter Shy asked with tears in her eyes. " I... I don't know girls. the portal is crumbling because to much magic ." Sunset said crying now. The human version of Twilight Sparkle approached Sunset Shimmer and embraced her with a hug and Sunset accepted it. "I'll keep an eye on them. I think it's my turn to learn the true meaning of friendship. You taught me that being alone in the dark isn't worth it at all thank you." Twilight said still hugging the girl. "I'm going to miss you girls so much you gave me another chance at friendship when I didn't deserve any friends at all." Sunset sobbed but wiped her eyes she pulled off her black leather jacket , and put it around Twilight, and gave her her journal. "message me or the other version of you if you're having any problems or just simply want to talk." Sunset said. " I will take care of yourself Sunset I wished I knew you longer." Twilight hugged Sunset and the rest of the girls suddenly joined in. " No matter where you are we'll always be friends." Rainbow Dash said. The ground shook violently the horse statue glowed as it was about to explode. Pinkie Pie started bawling. " I didn't even through you a farewell party." Pinkie Pie cried. " goodbye everyone and all ways remember ...." Sunset trailed off and the whole school chimed in at the same time. FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC! Sunset was then transformed back into her unicorn form as her powers flowed through her body. Everyone was shocked but they didn't care they were losing a friend. Sunset said goodbye for the last time , and returned home to where she belonged. Sunset returned home. she thought she was in Canterlot Castle but realized that she wasn't . " Sunset Shimmer? What are you doing here?" Twilight said as she walked up to Sunset who looked like she was about to cry. " I had to return home in order to balance the magic between both dimensions." Sunset finally released her tears as Twilight calmed the poor mare. The sky was covered in a red blanket. The sun wasn't up at all only the moon shone throughout the days and nights through out Equestria. A new evil has aspired. Every pony was ruining low on supplies and bits. Every pony keeps arguing and having different points of value on what to do. There was a meeting held in Ponyville . The Princess of Friendship walked on stage and silenced every pony who had gathered and volunteered to take part in this court session. Sunset Shimmer and the rest of her friends were in the front row awaiting Twilight's speech. "Look Every pony I understand that this has been a shock to us all. Guards are searching everywhere for Princess Celiestia and Princess Luna. Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are doing what they can. As for me iv'e been researching on what or who could be doing this to our country." Twilight looked in the audience and swore she saw a familiar pony. Sunset finally sighed as the meeting was finally over. It was pretty hectic every pony shoved through the crowds to try and make it home. Sunset noticed Twilight and Spike already walking back towards the castle. Audience pov Twilight shook her head when she finished her speech. Twilight sighed as she trotted towards her castle as Spike followed. "Whats wrong Twilight?" Spike asked . "I... I think I saw Starlight Glimmer in the audience Spike." Twilight said as she opened the doors to the castle. "Maybe she came to support you seeing that every pony is in a crisis ? " spike said as they walked along the long hallway towards the throne room. "I doubt it Spike." Twilight said Spike then came up with the worst pun ever. "Or she's here to get revenge and take over Equestria!" Spike said in a evil tone. Twilight looked at him . "What? If I was an evil villain thats what I'd do. Besides it was probably your imagination ." Spike said Twilight opened the doors and gasped. "Or its totally true!" Spike feinted on the spot. Twilight gathered up her magical energy in her horn. "Hello Princess." Starlight Glimmer smirked as she uncrossed her hooves from the map table . "Starlight Glimmer I should of known you were behind this!" Twilight blasted a lazier beam at Starlight but she quickly dogged it. Sunset hummed to herself as she made her way back with some groceries when she entered the castle. Sunset stopped midway as she heard Twilight's voice followed by a blast of pure magic. Forgetting about the groceries Sunset galloped all the way to the throne room she paused for a minute waiting to see who was in there with Twilight. "You just don't know what lies ahead do uou Twilight?" Sunset gasped then continued listening. " My army and I kidnapped the two Princesses and theres nothing you nor your friends can do either!"'Sunset Shimmer immediately bolted through the doors and was automatically sent back in time with Twilight as soon as Starlight Glimmer hit them with her cane. I called out for Twilight but no response. A light was shimmering in the distance. YOU YES YOU WHO HAVE WENT BACK IN TIME YOU HAVE GOTTEN A SECOND CHANCE YES? Sunset stopped as I listened to what sounded like an old woman's voice. What does she mean a second chance? I already had one? I looked around my surroundings almost forgetting what had happened just a few moments ago. That's right I was zapped by Starlight's spell . So if what i'm thinking is true then that must mean... A white light blinded Sunset as she put a hoove over her eye to cover it. Stood in front of her was an old lady well technically a witch from the looks of it. "Wow you're old." I snickered. The witch frowned at the compliment. "You were looking for some pony I presume?" The witch asked in a raspy voice. "Yes. She's a purple alicorn and nerdy to. Have you seen her we both got zapped by another unicorn's spell but I have no idea where she is or where I am." I said. "Your past may not be today but maybe on a rainy day. If you had not gone to that world then you may have taken a longer road. Look deeper my friend for it is the truth what you seek. So take a journey on your own and see what could've been." The witch sang as she pulled out a black wand and she cast it on me before I could respond I was at Canterlot castle? I was really confused but thought back at what the witch had said.I guess she meant that I have to start over? I gasped. My voice sounded like a filly. As I approached Canterlot Castle I went to a nearby fountain and gasped. As I looked at my reflection my heart started racing as I saw my reflection then I screamed. "WHY AM I A FILLY!" Twilight Sparkle opened her eyes to darkness as her eyes adjusted in the thick atmosphere a voice sooned echoed in the dark. "YOU HAVE DISCOVERED THE TRUE MEANING OF FRIENDSHIP BUT WHAT IF YOU NEVER DID? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU STAYED IN CANTERLOT INSTEAD OF FINDING THE ELEMENTS? LET'S GO BACK FROM THE BEGINNING AND START AGAIN "Hello? Is anypony there?" Twilight asked. A bright light soon followed Twilight shielded her eyes from the brightness and opened them again finding herself at the academy. "Huh? Why am I here?" A cough was heard. "For your examination miss Sparkle unless you decided to fail." Twilight looked up and saw three judges in a classroom. Twilight took a closer look and noticed a familiar egg. Wait a minute? This was the egg that Spike hatched from what in Equestria is going on? Twilight then noticed that she felt different smaller even. "Ummm can somepony tell me what's going on? Examination for what?" "Honey! What are you doing! This is your chance to get in Princess Celestia's school ! Don't blow it!" Twilight turned around and saw her parents in the corner with nervous looks on their faces. A unicorn stallion coughed once again s he tapped a quill on a clipboard waiting on her. "Well miss Sparkle?" A mare said impatiently as she looked at her watch. Twilight wasn't sure what the hay was going on but she knew that something was really wrong. Twilight looked at the wagon that had a purple and green egg in it. Twilight sighed as she took a deep breath and she closed her eyes as her horn began to glow. Twilight tries several times after making several attempts on breaking the egg she collapsed to the ground and gave up. Twilight had tears in her eyes after realizing what the voice told her .This means that Twilight wouldn't had met Spike when she was enrolled into Princess Celestia's school for gifted unicorns. The judges rose from their seats and one by one they each filed out of the room the mare huffed as she slammed the door behind her. Twilight stared at the egg , and started to cry. Her parents came over and conforted her. "You gave it your best kiddo." Nightlight said as he hugged his daughter. "No! It has Spike in their!" Twilight sobbed . "Spike?" Twilight Velvet said as she looked at the egg. "Oh I get it. You were going to name him if you passed weren't you?" Her mom said as she also hugged her daughter. "Mom! You don't understand! This already happened ! I passed I did get enrolled I was Princess Celestia's star pupil! I moved to Ponyville ,and I discovered true friendship!" Twilight said as she hit the ground several times. "You must of been dreaming come on let's go home. You had a long day . We'll see what we can do in your near future . No! I had a future! Starlight Glimmer is behind this!" Twilight said. "Must of been a bad nightmare dear should we get her a therapist?" Nightlight whispered in his wife's ear. "I know let's go get some ice cream! That should cheer my Twilight up." Twilight stopped sobbing she sighed as she looked at Spike's egg for the last time. "Goodbye Spike. I hope somepony else takes good care of you." Twilight said with tears still in her eyes as the family walked out of the classroom to get some ice cream. What's going to happen to me now? As well as Spike? My future is messed up now! Why couldn't I hatch him! Sunset wherever you are please be careful. Sunset Shimmer waited patiently for Princess Celestia it felt like forever since she had last seen her since she had betrayed her and escaped to the other world for power and revenge. Trumpets were heard as a pegasus stated Princess Celestia's arrival. Sunset Shimmer bowed as the princess made her way to her throne and sat down. "Sunset Shimmer!" Princess Celestia said Sunset gasped as she thought the worst was yet to come. "From this day forth you shall be my pupil and study magic and grow stronger every day when the time comes for you you shall learn how to live in royalty. " Princess Celestia said as a wagon was heard from behind. I glanced back and saw what looked liked a dragon's egg. Princess Celestia then cracked it opened and revealed yet a familiar sleeping purple and green scaled dragon."Your first assignment is to raise this dragon he will become helpful in the future but first he needs a name. I'll leave the naming process up to you." Princess Celestia said. She dismissed Sunset Shimmer and the baby dragon. The two were then assigned to Canterlot Library. Sunset Shimmer smiled as she saw the baby dragon waking up but then it started to cry as if it knew something was wrong. Sunset levitated the dragon in her hooves . "Shhh I know Spike. I thought that was you. We need to find Twilight and get back to the present. Don't worry. We will fix time! Starlight Glimmer will pay for this!" Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer has just realized that time has been reversed! Author's Note I am so sorry that I haven't updated in awhile. As of now the Element of Empathy will be on hold until I get at least 15 likes so if you really want this story to continue please like it so that way I know that people are reading it. Another reason I'm doing this is because my summer will be busy. I will be taking 4 remedial classes and I will be probably working as well. So again if you want this story to continue instead of favoriting the story please hit the like button it's really hard for me to see how many viewers I'm actually getting. Time has indeed changed, and Starlight Glimmer was enjoying every little minute of this little game. Just as Princess Celestia told Twilight Sparkle she should go to Ponyville she told this to Sunset Shimmer who had tried several times that if she did she could completly disrupt time itself. Princess Celstia however just laughed at her star pupil when she wrote back. Sunset Shimmer sighed as she relized she had no choice but to obey her mentor and go to Ponyvillle for the time being. Her and Spike relived the same events that her friend Twilight Sparkle did. Making sure to not completly disrupt time Spike told Sunset Shimmer exactly what happened before she became the Princess of friendship but does that mean that she will take over Twilight Sparkle's role as princess? As Sunset Shimmer fears what could possibly happen before she knew it, she has befriended all of her human counterpart friends. Sunset Shimmer explained who she was how she was once a rage she demon in another universe, and how their friend Twilight Sparkle saved her from the darkness. Of course this just made everypony confused. Sadly though Sunset Shimmer became the barrier of the element of Empathy after she defeated Nightmare Moon with her friends just like Twilight Sparkle once did. However Spike questioned the missing element on one of the artifacts. "Look , there's still one missing. The element of magic! And we all know who that belongs to!" Spike said happily as he smiled for the first time since he became to understand what had happened. "So this just proves that there are more elements of harmony just as I thought! Starlight Glimmer may have changed time, but she showed me that anything is possible!, and we will save Twilight I just know it come on girls!"'Sunset Shimmer said. You may be thinking that this story is coming to and end but this is just the beginning. Just as it turned out I am working and I do have a lot of homework but I have pretty much the next arc dome which will be the war arc. It'll be similar to the season 5 finale but more magic and action. Maybe some romance in between. If I can get at least hit 20 likes by next Friday I'll post the next chapter. I've been writing fanfiction for the last few years. I have been improving a lot and after realizing how much fun writing is I want to become a novelist. To make sure that this is what I want to do, I need your help. I need to see how creative I am. I would like to hear from you on what stories I should make. I want to make a story like Long Road to Friendship and Fractured Sunlight. Element of empathy will be my first probably completed story within the next five chapters. I love sunlight stories or really any slice of life stories in general. I just need help on deciding exactly what to do. I especially want to make something unique that no one has done before. So please if you enjoy Element of Empathy, I would like to hear your feedback as well as views.
