My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Equestria Girls 3 Race to the Elements
My Little Pony FiM: Equestria Girls 3
~Race to the Elements~
Chapter One-Revenge is Bittersweet
The bright lunar moon shimmered and shone over the dark, starless night sky. People were tucked up in their beds, underneath their covers. Many people had some bizarre dreams, but none as bizarre as one certain girl. This girl was having a dream where she was battling mutant bugbears with her friends, while cupcakes and people from 'Adventure Time' were salsa dancing in the air.
Over in Everfree Forest, the figures of three average looking female teenagers started to head into the clearing. The forest was known for its ferocious and terrifying plants and animals, you would not want to go there during night time.
"Please Adagio, we went to every forest and woods known to mankind OR sirenkind! I'm starving, let's go home,' A girl with a blue high ponytail and ruby red eyes pleaded. She pulled a thorn out of her grey tracksuits and pulled her hoodie over her head.
"Oh, quit your whining Sonata! If it wasn't for your lack of commitment , we would have destroyed those pesky girls!" A purple girl with turquoise pigtails and green streaks held with sky blue ribbons. She shot an icy glare at Sonata,"Besides we don't have a home any more since we used our pendants to get a house in the first place."
"You quit your whining Aria!" Sonata snapped back.
"Oh yeah, can I give you a bruise to cover up your hideous face?" Aria asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Well can I say that you're a meanie pants?" Sonata sneered, looking quite smug about her come back.
"Okay, that was lame and you should feel lame about that," Aria stated, rolling her magenta eyes.
"Yeah you're right, I need to think up of better ones," Sonata admitted, looking upset that she was defeated.
"Would you two quit it? I'm trying to find something really important here and you two are bickering...again," A harsh third voice chimed in and looked unamused at Sonata and Aria. She had big, poofy orange hair and was wearing a sweatshirt and tracksuits like her sisters.
"Sorry Dagi, it won't happen again," Sonata replied solemnly.
"What are you even looking for in here anyway Adagio? You said that we would be able to achieve ultimate power yet we are in a forest that is pretty much deserted except for some lifeless plants and rocks," Aria muttered, angry that she was spending the night wandering through a creepy forest.
Sonata stopped for a second to smell a scent lingering around the area. She turned around to see a straw basket filled to the brim with tacos. "Now who could have left this here?" Sonata asked but quickly dismissed the idea as she started to walk towards the basket full of goodies.
"Come on Adagio, I'll help you look. Just tell me what are we looking for in here?" Aria asked in quite a noticeable annoyed tone.
"Fine! If you really want to know then...wait, where's Sonata? Adagio inquired looking around while her hair was swishing about like a mad tornado. She noticed Sonata headed towards the straw basket and behind her was a creature with the body of a chicken and the head of a snake. "Sonata, watch out!"
Aria shoved Sonata out of the way just in time! Sonata landed on the ground and got a mouthful of dirt. She looked up to see the thatched straw basket turn into cold stone before her eyes. "Fly bakos!" She wailed and threw her head back in the ground.
"Sonata, pay attention! That was a cockatrice, they turn things AND beings into stone ," Aria scolded.
"Florry, Safria," Sonata said, looking quite glum with her mouth full of dirt.
"We've wasted enough time girls, now follow me," Adagio announced sternly as she started to walk off. Aria and Sonata glanced at each other before hastily following Adagio.
The former sirens trekked up a steep, snowy mountain until they came across a small clearing with strange patterns over a large, silver door that appeared to be from prehistoric times.
Some time later Sonata leaned in and whispered in Aria's ear,"Is it me, or does Adagio seem more bossy than usual?"
"For once you're right. Maybe she's still down that her plan didn't work. And why is she keeping so many loose ends from us?" Aria agreed with her sister.
Adagio calmly walked up to the door and placed her yellow palm on it. She began to start incant a rhyme that went;
"Open up this door and let us really see, Where the true elements of Earth could be."
As she said this, the door began to gave off an eerie, green glow that gave Aria and Sonata goosebumps that were as big as mountains.
Adagio was about to enter the room that was revealed when Aria stopped her dead in her tracks. "Wait a minute, Adagio you have some explaining to do!" Aria demanded while Sonata nodded her head in agreement. What is this place? Why did you take us here? And where did you learn that rhyme?"
Adagio turned back to her sisters and smirked. "Well before we were banished to Equestria, I did a little research. Turns out that this place contains the four elements of this pathetic world that keeps this place in balance. So if we obtain their power, we'd be vital to this world and the feeble people will have to do whatever we ask them to!" Adagio snarled as she folded her arms and she gazed at her sisters' reactions. They were admired and also frustrated as their sister hadn't filled them in for the majority of the trip.
Suddenly the door opened and the Dazzlings were faced with the most magnificent room they had ever seen. They were beautiful tapestries that were so silky they felt as soft as a patch of cloud that were tinted with the finest gold. The marble floors were beyond compare and there was an unbelievable glass chandelier hanging from the middle of the room. All over the walls there were paintings of the most famous heroes ever lived, there was a painting of Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy and Rarity.
Aria groaned when she caught sight of that painting. She pulled a black marker out of her pocket and scribbled moustaches on the painting. She stood back and checked out her alterations to the painting,"Much better," she giggled to herself. She fell on a golden velvet couch and picked up a cup that designed with all the colours of the rainbow. "Okay, now I'm bored," she muttered to herself.
Adagio pink eyes widen in delight as her eyes darted towards the middle of the room. "They're here, they're actually here," she uttered as she walked up to four orbs that were contained in cylinder glass cases. She ran up between each one, saying their properties as she went along.
She first went up to a red orb announced,"The fire element, where everything related to heat is contained in this orb. And this is the water element, you could control the oceans and seas with this little beauty," she said, pointing at the blue orb. She ran over to the other two orbs, which were green and grey. "And these are earth and wind, imagine how powerful we'll be with these trinkets,"Adagio turned triumphantly to her fellow siren sisters.
"So Adagio, do we just take them or what?" Sonata inquired as she reached out to touch one of the orbs.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Sonata!" called out a sweet, disembodied, feminine voice, almost mocking the girls.
The Dazzlings turned their attention back on the door they entered through where a ghostly white young-adult looking girl with golden curly hair tied into a side ponytail and a white sequin star clip that kept her fringe back emerged from. She was wearing a dark purple top with stars embroidered and sky- blue skinny jeans and black boots. "Hi there,"she announced in a honeyed way.
Aria leaned in and whispered in Adagio's ear,"Am I just dreaming, or is that Stella Lucida, the most famous villain ever?" Aria's eyes sparkled in anticipation as she stood before her life-long role model. When Aria was a little siren, she knew the only pony she could ever trust was Stella Lucida. Aria remembered the times when she would quote the exact same words from her hero's mouth and re-enact her favourite scenes from Stella's final battle. She vowed that one day she would be just like her.
"Hey do you know about the basket of tacos I saw earlier? And how do you know my name?" Sonata stated, suspicious of this new-comer.
"Questions, questions, questions. Okay, that basket of tacos was bait. You know this forest is full of things to tempt people in here and capture them. It's all controlled by this kind of mutant tornado I did create , sorry if I got you in danger. And the name, well I know every villain that's ever lived!" Stella replied nonchalantly, "Anything else?"
Aria quickly stepped forward and shoved a gob-stopper that was hiding in her pocket into Sonata's open mouth. "This is my big chance, don't ruin it for me loser," Aria threatened so quietly that only Sonata heard. Aria quickly plastered a smile. "Actually, yes. You must have heard about our recent failure," Adagio gave a scowl that was as sour as lemons."So to get even with this cruddy world we were wishing to tap into and harness the power out of those orbs. Do you know how to open those cylinders?"
"Sweetie, I WOULDN'T try to crack open those things. One touch and you'll be burnt to a crisp," Stella replied, demonstrating by throwing a random twig at the orbs. The Dazzlings hastily stepped back as the twig went up in flames. "Fortunately there is an option. All you have to do is get two items located somewhere in this world. Now I would have done this long ago, alas I am trapped in this room and cannot go any further than that door," She said, solemnly.
"Before you go all back-story on us, can you just get to the point?" Sonata asked as bluntly as possible.
"Sonata!" Adagio hissed.
"What?"
"Fine, but first we need to make a deal. I know the first clue to start this journey but you girls can travel to these places. So how about I tell you all you need to know, if you promise that when you get the objects you will agree to share one orb with moi. Deal?" Stella put forth a hand and looked at Adagio hopefully.
Adagio considered the current situation and came with an agreement. "You see, we'd absolutely love to, but unfortunately we can't," She finally replied.
"You know those girls?" Aria asked as she pointed at the picture with the Humane 7. "Well thanks to them we lost our pendants and are completely useless without them."
"And when those girls find out what we're doing they'll stop us an probably destroy those objects," Sonata sneered with attitude. "So looks like your perfect plan has failed, huh?" Sonata replied with a smirk on her face.
Aria quickly stepped into the scene before things could get worse. "Unless of course , you could make our pendants re-appear?" Aria asked hopefully, her throat had been stinging like crazy after they lost their pendants.
"Hmm, I could. But I have a better idea," Stella announced as she closed her eyes and started to mumble an incantation.
"What is it with people today and rhymes?" Sonata asked out loud to no-one in particular.
Suddenly weird looking bracelets appeared on the Dazzlings. Sonata was not impressed,"Seriously we could've got our pendants back and you give us cheap bracelets."
"These cheap little bracelets actually posses a very dark energy and will keep those pesky girls off your back for a while. Unfortunately they don't last forever," Stella sternly replied to Sonata.
Aria tried testing hers out by pointing it to the couch that she was previously sitting on and, before her eyes, the couch was completely soot and ash.
"Well girls you heard her, these bracelets won't last forever so we better get going," Adagio said, stilling admiring the power that this newcomer has.
"Good now the first clue goes like this; By the dragon that is a symbol of power, you must find a building that takes care of a flower!
"Wait? How are we supposed to work of that?" Sonata asked, scratching her head in confusion.
"Well Adagio is close to figuring out that riddle. Too bad you couldn't turn out like her or Aria," Stella shot back.
Adagio furrowed her brow in thought and then shouted out," Girls, follow me. I know where our first stop is and it's going to take a while to get there." Adagio and Aria began to make their journey to the mystery destination.
"I still don't trust that girl," Sonata muttered under her breath as she trailed behind her sisters...
