Pony Meat Business – Dissent

Celestia got off her throne to greet her student. “My dear Sunset, how are you feeling today?”
“I’m still a little unwell,” sniffled Sunset, “my cravings don’t seem to go away.”
Celestia nodded. “Don’t worry... it’s to be expected.”
“But Celestia, I really want to figure out why I am like this.”
“Let’s get some fresh air,” suggested Celestia.
They walked out to the balcony and put their hooves over the railing, overlooking the great land of Equestria. They felt the sun shining down warmly on them.
The princess took a deep relaxing breath and looked over at Sunset. “Ask me anything you would like to know.”
“Well, I feel like I’m alone, like I’m the only pony there ever was to want to eat up other ponies. Why me?”
Celestia paused to think for a moment. “Let’s start with a look into the past.”
“I’m listening,” said Sunset with a tilt of her head.
Celestia waved her hoof towards the vast expanse of land, “There were, in ages past, many ancient cultures within our land of Equestria.” She paused.
“Oh? What about them?”
“There was a group that shared desires very similar to yours.”
“Oh good. I want to know all about them.”
“In times of old, they practiced certain forms of sacrificial rituals to offer the lives of innocent ponies as energy to the gods that they worshiped, which were often serpents.”
Sunset’s eyes widened. “That really happened?”
Celestia nodded. “Yes, many ponies lost their lives. After the sacrifice, the victim’s bodies were cannibalistically consumed, and this is how power would be drawn for the replenishment of certain sexual energies that were considered to be erotic, or exotic, based upon these particular types of rituals.”
Sunset looked out at the expanse of Equestria. “That makes sense, except... why would ponies worship serpents in the first place?”
“Ponies are mammals, and that means we have reptilian roots in our genetic lineage. It is of no coincidence that you are of a… reptilian energy… which is just one of the many aspects you hold.”
“I still don’t understand why it’s so prominent in me.”
“The magic generated through the ritual sacrifice still lingers, and you were exposed at an early age when you were a young and impressionable unicorn.”
“How was I exposed? When?”
“It could have happened in something as seemingly innocuous as a dream. Regardless of how it happened, it happened. I would guess you were around the age of eight, and it was soon integrated as part of your psychological makeup.”
Sunset sounded worried. “So somehow this ancient magic has gotten hold of me?”
“I am not saying that it is positive or negative in any way. This is simply what is being, shall we say, enthused through your self in regards to sexual carnal desires.”
Sunset let that sink in. “Okay, that explains why I am the way I am. But, what am I supposed to do now with my desires? They drive me crazy.”
“You simply need to ask yourself if this is what you feel you wish to continue to experience in this way, or do you feel there is another path that is awaiting you?”
“I'm not sure.”
“You have the idea of a choice, in regards to another form of unconditional loving sexuality, that which represents true self-empowerment, sexuality that is connection to oneness, to unity, to harmonious consciousness, rather than the idea of usurping the energy of innocence to allow yourself to become sexually powered up, as it were. You can also alternate between higher and lower forms of sexual expression in order to appreciate both relative to each other."
“Hmmm… what to do...” asked Sunset, putting her hoof to her chin.
“It all comes down to what you decide that you feel your energies are best served as. You do not have to decide anything right now.”
Sunset thought for a long time. “I think maybe I do enjoy being the way I am, sometimes. Maybe I’ll change one day, but for now I’m just going to be myself.”
“Mmmm, wonderful.” Celestia gave Sunset a big hug. “I hope one day you'll find a partner and you’ll fall in love.”
“Do you think they’ll still love me if they know about… you know… ?”
“If they love you, of course they will. The truth is, far more ponies love you than despise you.”
“Awww, thanks Celestia." Sunset broke the hug. "I feel like everything's going to be okay.”
