Pinkie's Journey (comment-driven story)
Pinkie Pie suddenly awoke with a sudden jolt. She looked around herself. There was snow and icy hills all around her. "W-w-where am I?" She stuttered. She gasped. "I must've blacked out from the cold!" She declared. "But I can't remember which way is home..." She got up. Every single nerve through her body was numb. She was surprised she was still alive. By now she should've already died from the cold. She knew that if she didn't get to warmth and shelter soon then she would be a goner. She could already see the world getting blacker around her. She soon sees a cave in the distance. She thought Why should I even bother, I'm dying anyway... Soon she spots a winter coat lying in the snow. She wears it. Soon her lips started to seal it was so cold. The jacket warmed her up, but it still wasn't like a warm fire. This is when Pinkie started to hear the voices.
Hello Pinkie. Don't panic, they will help you...
Who? Pinkie thought, not being able to speak.
Them, the commenters... You will hear them. Trust me.
I hope your right... Pinkie thought, she hand no idea where to go, or what to do, but she wasn't sure about the cave, because there could be a monster living there. She really really hoped that she'd live, she still had a lot of partying to do in her life...
Pinkie decided to start moving, because she knew if she didn't she'd freeze. She walked to toward the cave, she really didn't want to go in it, but she had no choice. She'd die either way. As she got closer, a hug roar erupted from the cave. Suddenly she decided she didn't want to get eaten alive, and started to search for other shelter. Then, in the distance, she thought she saw a pony. But she couldn't yell, because she'd lost her ability to speak. The pony looked like he was heading over a one of the hills, but soon, he was gone. Crap. She thought. I guess I could follow in his steps, but I'm not so sure that's a good idea. I could get lost and not have any shelter. Better this cave then nothing. So she stay put, pacing around to keep warm, thinking how her friend would react when they found out she was dead. She imagined their terrified faces.
"No more Pinkie Pie?" They'd say. "We should have gone looking for her sooner!"
Icicles were starting to grow on Pinkie's chin, and out her nostrils. This is bad. She thought of her friends. They were probably wondering where the heck she was. Who knows how long she had lied there in the snow. Probably not long, because she would've died after too long. Suddenly she heard the voices again. She didn't know why she was hearing these voices. Were they going to help her or was she just going crazy? Either way, she decided to listen to them. It was her only choice.
He could be a help to you Pinkie... The cave too. You might also want to check if there are any more loose items around here.
I know, I know. You don't have to tell me what to do.
I know, but they can...
Who?
Them...
The commenters?
Pinkie, you will hear what they say, trust me on this.
Oh, I'm putting all the trust I have into you!
Good, but you should put your trust into them... Goodbye, Pinkie...
Wait, don't go! Oh, crud. Pinkie decided that her only option was to die here. She'd rather freeze to death then die by a monster... But then again, maybe that pony she saw has a shelter for her. Hmmm... She tried to get the voices to come back. Hello? Is anyone there? She said in her mind. Not to worry, I'm sure her friends will start to worry and come for her. Well, she hoped they would.
Meanwhile, in Sugarcube Corner... "Girls, shouldn't we go looking for Pinkie? What if something bad happened to her?" Twilight Sparkle fretted.
"Nah, she's Pinkie. She'll be fine." Rainbow Dash replied.
"Yea, your probably right." Twilight shrugged.
Back to Pinkie... Well I guess I can't complain, I've lived this long, maybe I should take chances. Granny Pie always said, Take chances, make mistakes, get messy! Or was that somebody else she met? Who knows. She suddenly felt a strong warmth coming from the coat she was wearing. She checked inside, and there were pockets! She looked inside. There were four hood-warmers, a GPS, a radio device, night-vision goggles, and some stale crackers. Pinkie had never seen equipment and technology like this in Equestria, but then again, who knows if she was still in Equestria. She didn't know how to work this kind of technology, so she opened the hoof-warmers. It took a while for them to warm up, but eventually they did, and she used them to warm the rest of her body, especially her heart. She wasn't the best at survival though, so she didn't know the exact spots to warm.
After she had warmed herself up, she ate the stale crackers. They were stale, but they would keep her alive, for now. All that was left to do is find shelter and warmth. How hard could that be? With her spirit and courage, anything is possible. But if she was really honest with herself, she had a feeling she wasn't going to see Ponyville again, scratch that, she won't ever see her friends again! No. She had to survive. If it was the last thing she'd do, she was going to find a way home, and see her friends again. She was going to find a way out of all this. She knew it. Well, almost knew it.
