God of Rage

Load Full StoryHi, I'm Alex, just your ordinary teen... or, at least, that's how this story would've began. I have many names, some I've earned, others I've had for awhile, but that's not the point of this story. Let me tell you how I became the random, dimension-traveling God of Rage. It all begins a few hours before I found my... well, I guess you would call it a ruby ring, but I prefer the name Element of Pure Rage, more details on that later. Now where was I? Oh yeah, let the story begin.

"Hey Mom, is it alright if I go to the beach with Danny?" I asked.
"Is his mother okay with it?" She asked me.
*Talking is heard from my gameroom.*
"Yeah." I said.
"When are they leaving?" She asked.
*More talking is heard.*
"In 30 minutes or so." I replied.
"Okay, tell them you'll be ready." She said
"Woo! I might not like sand but it'll be worth it!" I cheer, adding a joke at the end.
~~~~1 hour later~~~~
"Dude." I said.
"Yeah?" Asked Danny.
"Remember when we built that city on your PS3?"
"Yeah."
"I have no idea how many buildings we built, but it all started with a McDonalds for some reason," I joke. "And they say obesity is built around fast foods."
"Heh, wow, I never noticed that." Said Danny.
I'm going to break away from the story real quick to give a little background on my friendship with Danny. It started back when I was 11, it was the beginning of 2012 and I had just moved in to my new house. Things were rough at first, and I almost used my scooter as a hammer or baseball bat, take your pick, there was also a wire involved - They still haven't found a use for it, plus, climbing concrete walls hurt, anyways - things began improving once I calmed down, and I began making friends, besides, I've heard that the best friendships endure hard times and become even better because of it, or is that marriage? Either way our friendship is still going strong, and I often go down to his house... Come to think of it, I've only been in 4 other houses in my whole neighborhood. Back to the story!
"Talk is fun and all, but I see an ocean and this sand is starting to get in my mouth somehow, so let's shed our tops and get swimming!" I jokingly said.
"Woo!" He cheered, excited.
~~~~1 hour and 50 minutes later~~~~
"Danny, come here and check this out!" I said.
"What is it?" He asked.
"It looks like a ruby in a silver ring, but I have no clue why it's glowing."
*A moment of silence passes*
"Imma put it on." I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because it looks cool and I wanna see if it's just a toy." I said as I slipped it on.
"Good point."
The ring suddenly begins to glow brighter. "Danny, what the hell is happening?!" I said somewhat frantically.
"I don't know!" Said Danny as he freaked out. "Try taking it off!"
I grunt as I attempt to take it off. "It's no use, it's stuck on my finger!"
"I'm going to go get my mom and dad, I'll be right back!"
"Okay," I begin to black out. "Hurry!"
I black out mere moments after he leaves.
~~~~Some time later, in an unknown area~~~~
"Ugh, where am I?" I said as I wake up. I sit up and take a look around me, seeing nothing but a strange, dense forest.
Suddenly, I heard a squeak to my left, but all I see is what looks like pink hair disappearing behind a bush.
The heck? I wonder who that was... Imma see if they can talk, for some reason. Me and my urges. "Hello? You can come out, I only hurt people on Tuesday." I said jokingly in hopes of calming the stranger down.
Boy was I shocked when a yellow furred, winged miniature horse came out from the bush. Wasn't expecting that. "I'm going to take a moment to rub my eyes in disbelief before we continue talking." I said before I rub my eyes. "Nope. Not high or more insane than usual. Hi, I'm Alex."
"I-I'm F-Fluttershy." She said before she squeaked.
"Well then Fluttershy, it's a pleasure to meet you and all but, is there any chance that you know where we are? Like, what country, state, city - well, forest would be a better term in this case, but still, where am I?" I asked as politely as I possibly could.
"You mean, you don't know?" She asked, "This is the Everfree Forest, the scariest place in Equestria."
"Why is that?" I asked skeptically.
"The animals take care of themselves, the trees grow on their own, and the clouds move by themselves!" She exclaimed, "Nothing about this forest is natural."
"I still don't see how that's scary." I said.
"The fauna is even worse! There's Timberwolves, Cockatrices, Manticores, even," She gasps, "Dragons!"
"Well, now I can see why it's scary." I said, surprised. "If we do encounter any of those, I'll make like a caveman and give them a lesson they won't forget."
"That's good, but you might want to consider doing that soon." She said, slightly frightened.
"Why?" I asked before something hit me. I swear if there's something behind me then I'm calling bs.
"L-Look b-behind you." She said, now very scared.
"Here we go, ugh." I muttered as I turned around. "Well, that wasn't there before." I said, slightly surprised.
There was three of them, wooden things with yellow eyes that growl. Welp, these must be the Timberwolves that Fluttershy mentioned, now where is some fire and why are my hands warm? I thought as I look at my hands, which were now glowing slightly red. Huh, no idea how or why that's happening, but maybe it'll be useful, like some sort of ability or power up. "Well, it's as they say, 'When in Rome, do as the Romans do'," I whispered to myself, "Okay, barkface! We can do this the easy way, or we can do this my way. Take your pick."
As if my challenge was heard by the trees, three more Timberwolves emerge from the shadows, all of whom were growling at me.
"Oh, I'm so scared!" I said mockingly, "Smell that? It's sarcasm. You don't scare me, heights do. Now, who's going first, ankle biters?"
Before I know it, I'm eating dirt. Oh, that was a bad idea. Now I'm really angry. I though as my legs start to warm up, causing my attacker to back away cautiously. "You are all idiots, but hey, you're wild pack animals, I expected nothing lesser than that." I said as I got up, hands now a more solid red along with my feet. Feels like they're burning, but it doesn't hurt for some reason... Meh, going with the flow. As I begin walking towards the wolf that attacked me, I begin thinking about possibilities. If my body begins to warm up when I'm angry, I wonder if those words will work... Worth a shot. "I'm going to sound like an idiot if this doesn't work. Yol," I said, feeling my lungs warming up. "Tor Shul!" I shout, causing a stream of fire to shot from my mouth. Well, theory proved, Skyrim sorta works here. That's good... But, just to double check. "Fus, Ro Dah!" A blast of compressed air hits the Timberwolf, sending it flying into a tree, the impact causing whatever is holding it together to shatter. "One down, six to go. Better see how Fluttershy is holding up." I mutter to myself.
I turn around to look for her and I find her staring at me in fear. Shit. "You okay Fluttershy?" "Y-Yes." She said. "Good. It would seriously suck if you got hurt By these bastards, so can you do me a favor and hide somewhere where they can't get you?" I asked her. "A-Alright." She said before flying up to a cloud. I stare for a moment. Huh, who'd've thought that. I thought to myself before returning to the fight, only to find another wolf leaping at me. As I swing my fist into the wolf's jaw, fire encases my hand like a glove. Upon impact, the fire leaps at the wolf and clings to it like a bonfire, causing it to whimper in pain and run. Two down, five to go. This might take awhile. I thought as I look around, taking in my surroundings.
~~~~15 minutes of fighting later~~~~
"Whew, that was a workout and a mile all in one." I said, exhausted. "I-Is it over?" Fluttershy asked from above. "Hopefully, but who knows, there might be more, so we best get moving before something else shows up." I said, causing her to join me. "So, which way to the nearest settlement?" I asked. "Follow me, I'm certain that Twilight would like to meet you as well." Said Fluttershy. Oh god, something tells me that I'll be dealing with introductions soon. "Okay, sooner we get to this Twilight, the better."
