Planting an Apple's Seed

A few weeks later, everything in the Apple Family household was normal once again. Big Mac was out working early one morning and the girls were inside. The sun hadn't even come up yet. He had been working hard and was sweating up a storm. He decided that he should get a few minutes of rest and maybe a snack and something to drink.

He made his way into the house to get himself a glass of water. He noticed that the girls were nowhere to be seen. He got himself the water, and then decided to look around for them while he was resting. He heard some sounds coming from the bathroom and though maybe one of both of them would be there.

“Hello?” He asked, knocking on the door. It opened by itself, having not been locked or closed all the way.

Inside the bathroom, Apple Bloom was hunched over the toilet and Applejack was next to her, rubbing her back gently. Neither of them had noticed Big Mac come into the bathroom. Big Mac watched them for a few minutes and saw Apple Bloom lean forward over the toilet and make sounds that sounded like she was throwing up, but nothing was coming out.

“Sugarcube, maybe we should see a doctor.” Applejack said.

Apple Bloom lifted her head and to face Applejack and she nodded slightly. Her breathing was heavy and she looked sick. Big Mac thought for a second that maybe he could have gotten her pregnant, but he couldn’t remember if he had came inside her or not. He nervously left the bathroom and went back outside to continue his work.

As he was working, he saw his sisters leave to go to the doctor’s. Apple Bloom seemed just fine now, though she had one hand holding her stomach. Big Mac continued working until they got back later that evening.

Big Mac was waiting inside for them, having finished his work for the day.

“Apple Bloom, are you ok?” Big Mac asked when they got back.

Apple Bloom looked away from him and into Applejack’s eyes. Applejack sighed and looked at her brother. “Apple Bloom is pregnant.” Applejack said. Big Mac’s eyes went wide and he nearly gasped. Apple Bloom began crying slightly and Applejack gave her a comforting hug.

“Yer kiddin’, right?” Big Mac asked, refusing to believe it.

Applejack shook her head sadly, still hugging her younger sister. “Ah’m just glad that Granny ain’t here to see this.” Applejack said.

“What’re we gonna do?” Big Mac asked.

“Ah don’t know, it’s up to Apple Bloom to decide.” Applejack said. She looked down at Apple Bloom who was sobbing into her chest. She sighed and rubbed her back gently. “There’s nothing we can do now, so we might as well continue on like usual and leave the decision to her.”

Applejack released Apple Bloom from the hug and they all went to their rooms to go to sleep.
