The True Changling Queen

Our Flight To Safety

I am Autumn, the right full queen of the changlings. They were corrupted by Chrysalis. My baby girl, HoneyComb, and I had to flee. Just to keep our lives. It was twilight when IT happened.

I was rocking my little girl. It was quiet one second and the next she was bursting through the door. My husband, Zephyr, lost his life defending us as we fled. We ran and ran. I had no idea where we were. Finally, HoneyComb found an old den. We slept there the first night. In the morning I woke to find HoneyComb not laying beside me. I paniced.

"HoneyComb! Where are you? Come to Muma! Where are you! HoneyComb?" I ran around yelling.

"I have your filly, Are you chilly? Are you an Escapee? Please come with me, " Rhymed a Zebra.

"Who are you? How'd you find my HoneyComb?"

"I am Zecora, She was playing in the Fauna."

"Thank you, Zecora." I followed her to an african themed hut. There was my little girl. I ran up to her, checking over her. Zecora and I talked. Somehow she knew of a changling attack, but not where. I told her my Identity and my daughter's. She was willing to help us. I promised to repay her eventually. She said that if we helped her collect herbs form the forest, she would feed and house us.

I spent a week learning the plants. Which were medical, eatable, and to stay away from. When I went into town people stared at me, was it the White pelt and Autumn leaf hair? Or that I was an alicorn, walking in town? The market was just ahead.

"H-hello. I'm here to buy...Mint leaves, Poi Nuts, and Guava." I said tentivly.

"That'll be 8 bits" said a pale green pony.

"Thank you" I levitated the purchuse into the saddle bags hiding my wings. I took off to a yellow pegusei's house, from there the Evergreen Forest. It took 10 minutes of flying under the canopy to reach the hut, "HoneyComb! I'm back!"

"We're back here, Muma!" called the little filly. I trotted around the hut to the hidden pond. Leaning half way out to feed the koi was HoneyComb, with Zecora watching her.

"I got the plants, Zecora."

"Thank you, Return to my brew, I have to" Zecoras returned to the hut, and her potions, "But there is someone wiht you can stay, with FlutterShay" Zecora called

"Oh thank you, Zecora!"

"It is nothing, for me you were helping"

So the next day Zecora, HoneyComb and I went to the girly hut I'd been going past for the 2 weeks. The Yellow pony hide in the house while Zecora warned and told me what to do to blend into pony society. I thanked her and we parted ways at the edge of the trees.
