By: ThatFriendlyDerp.
It was early in the morning when Ditzy Doo entered Dinky's room.
"Good morning; my little muffin," Ditzy said while nudging the filly. Dinky grumbled, slowly slumping up in her bed, wiping the sleep from her eyes.
Yawning she pulled the sheets off herself, stretching, she made her way down stairs.
"Morning mom" Dinky said with a small smile."
"Breakfast is ready!" Ditzy said in replied cheerfully.
Dinky made her way to the kitchen table and sat down. Ditzy put a plate of blueberry waffles in front of her.
"Thanks Mom" she said in a cheerful voice.
Ditzy smiled in return, she then watched her daughter devour the waffles with blissful glee. She started to think about how adorable she was and how much she loved her daughter. She watched her daughter wolf down the remains of the waffles.
"Are you excited to go back to school, after a long weekend?" Ditzy piped up.
"Nah, kind of, I wish we had one more day off." Dinky said unenthusiastically.
"Well that's too bad," her mother said in reply, "Anyway I packed your lunch." She handed Dinky her lunch bag. "And remember brush your teeth and make your bed."
"Yeah yeah" Dinky grumbled and she made her way upstairs doing exactly what her mother had asked her to do. She trotted down stairs and grabbed her backpack.
"Bye my little muffin." Ditzy cooed, while planting a kiss on her cheek.
Dinky nodded in return and made her way outside. Derpy watched her leave through the window and thought; I hope she makes it to school safe. Dinky trotted at a quick pace along the road leading towards the school. She was a little happy to be back at school to hang out with her friends, but she still wished for one more day off. Dinky continued trotting with eyes on the road; suddenly she heard a familiar voice.
"Hi ya Dinky!" she turned to look and a purple and pink maned filly was trotting towards her.
"Oh hey Sweetie Belle!" Dinky greeted,
"How are you?" Sweetie asked.
"Good, where are your friends?" Dinky questioned.
"Apple Bloom is busy at the farm and Scootaloo's sick." She said flatly.
"That sucks!" Said Dinky.
"Ehh well I don't mind." she replied.
"We should probably get to school." She said with a smile. Sweetie nodded, and they made their way towards the school.
As they continued on, Sweetie spoke, "How was your weekend?"
"Good." Dinky replied, suddenly they heard the school bell ring. "Oh my gosh," Dinky squealed, "We better hurry up!" The two fillies galloped faster towards the school.
"Yes!" Sweetie said gleefully. "We made it!"They quickly filed inside the school, and trotted into the classroom.
"How was every pony's weekend?" Miss Cheerilee spoke.
"Good" all the fillies and colts said in unison.
"Good." Miss Cheerilee prompted, "As you all know today we have phys Ed, and today is fitness day!"
All the fillies and colts started to whine.
"Shhh!" Miss Cheerilee hushed "but anyway let's start class!"
Dinky sat in her desk listening to Miss Cheerilee read to the class bored out of her mind. She always thought she wasn't good at sports but she usually tried any way to keep her marks up to make her mom proud her thoughts were interrupted when she felt some pony poke her "Pssst… hey!" she turned her head to see of brown coated colt in a propeller hat.
"Can I borrow a pencil?" he whispered.
Dinky sighed" Sure." she said reluctantly, she passed button mash a pencil
"Thanks." he said.
"Ahem…" she heard somepomy clear their throat. She turned her head to see Miss Cheerilee standing beside her.
"Don't talk during class." she said in an annoyed tone.
Dinky felt her cheeks get hot with embarrassment. As she realized every pony was looking at her "Sorry…" she muttered.
Miss Cheerilee then began reading again. Dinky still felt embarrassed she put her head down and waited until class was over.

Dinky and Sweetie Belle trotted at a steady pace making their way outside.
"So what did he want?" Sweetie questioned.
"He just wanted a pencil." Dinky grumbled "Maybe if he had brought a pencil I wouldn't have been in trouble!" She added complainingly.
Sweetie nodded in agreement Dinky and Sweetie found a comfortable spot to sit down and continued to talk.
"Well it could've been worse." Sweetie concurred.
"True" Dinky agreed "Whatever it's over doesn't matter!" she said not caring any more.
Not a moment too soon the bell rang.
"Well… look on the bright side we have Phys.Ed... never mind." she said flatly.
"Yeah, fitness day." Dinky reminded her.
The two fillies trotted inside getting their gym bags and trotted back outside. Dinky quickly got her sweat bands on.
"Stylish!" Sweetie said in a mocking tone.
"Oh shush!" Dinky laughed.
"OK every pony we'll start with jump rope!" she called to the Fillies and colts as they galloped over to the basket of jump ropes.
"OK every pony you've got 5 minutes to do as much skips as you can!" Miss Cheerilee announced loudly.
All the Fillies and colts did as they were told until 5 minutes had passed and Miss Cheerilee made her way around grading the others
Dinky and Sweetie waited patiently for Miss Cheerilee. After a few minutes have passed Miss Cheerilee trotted over to Dinky and Sweetie "Well how many did you two fillies get?" She questioned.
"We've got 32 skips" Dinky said in a proud voice.
"Good job!" Miss Cheerilee said, quickly scribbling down the numbers then trotting to the next group of ponies.
"Well that went well" Sweetie said grinning.
"Alright every pony time for the cardio exercise!" Miss Cheerilee said, load enough for all the ponies to hear.
Everypony lined up at the starting line.
"OK are you all ready?"Miss Cheerilee asked.
Dinky lined up with the other colts and fillies waiting for Miss Cheerilee to blow the whistle, giving her legs a good stretch in anticipation.
"All right on my mark get set… go!" Miss Cheerilee blew the whistle.
Dinky began to run forward picking up speed, other ponies were running beside her including her friend Sweetie Belle, she galloped as fast as she could she thought for a second that her pelt would fly off her body, but she continued running.
"One more lap!" she heard her teacher yell.
Dinky kept on running, exhaustion tugged at her legs now I want to stop she told herself she was so close, suddenly she felt some pony push her so hard that she tripped over herself and tumbled into a large rock that lay at the edge of the finish line she groaned in pain feeling blood well up at the top of her head she put her hoof at her forehead wiping some blood off. Looking at her hooves and trembling suddenly everything was dark.

Ditzy flew to the hospital as fast as she could finding out her daughter got hurt she wanted to be there beside her letting her know that everything was going to be okay. She felt tears well up in her eyes. Her worst fear was her daughter being hurt; she wiped the tears from her face and continued flying until she made it to the hospital. She quickly landed and trotted inside the hospital. Ditzy trotted up to the front desk
"Hello?" she asked.
"Hello, you're Miss Hooves correct?" The mare said questioningly.
"Yes" Ditzy replied.
"You're daughter is down in the pavilion" said the mare while pointing down a hallway to the right "Room 14 B." she added
Ditzy nodded and trotted in the direction the nurse said that Dinky was. She continue down the hall until she came across Room 14 B. This is the one she thought she opened the door she saw a stallion in a white coat.
"Hello is a my daughter Dinky here?" she asked.
"Yes right this way Miss Hooves," The Doctor said while leading her into an area in the corner of the room he pulled the curtain over to reveal a hospital bed with her daughter Dinky sleeping soundly.
"Is my little muffin going to be OK?" Ditzy questioned.
"She'll be fine she just has a concussion." the Doctor replied.
"How long will she be in here?" Ditzy asked
"4 to 5 days" the Doctor replied.
"What? Why?" Ditzy said
"Well the concussion was pretty bad and she almost cracked her head open." the Doctor said.
Ditzy winced. "So she will be fine then?" She asked again.
"Yes she needs some rest and some medication and then she'll feel well again." the Doctor reassured her.
"Mommy." Ditzy turned her head to see her daughter looking at her.
Ditzy felt tears well up in her eyes she cantered up and gave her daughter a warm loving hug.
"I'm glad you're okay Ditzy!" said while planting a bunch of sloppy kisses on Dinky's face.
Dinky squeaked "Ok mom I love you too." she giggled.
Ditzy smiled. "Thank you Doctor…"
"O" the stallion finished.
"OK my little muffin Doctor O said you'll be staying here for a few days" Ditzy said.
"Why?" Dinky complained
"Your still not at full health and you need to rest in order to feel better!" the Doctor replied
"Don't worry there are other fillies and colts to play with!" he said cheerfully "But you should get some rest Dinky"
"You too Miss Hooves you look worn out" The Doctor said.
Ditzy realized that she to needs to rest badly, after a stressful day she would love to snuggle up in bed.
"Well thanks for your help Doctor" Ditzy said.
"No problem its part of my job!" he said with a smile
