For Ever Young And For Ever Alone!
A dream come true!
Load Full StoryThe beautiful sun goddess, Celestia, was in her office doing her least favorite job. She was looking over bills that may be passed into laws and complaints from her people. She cared for them dearly, but the idiotic complaints made her lose more faith in her people each day.
Celestia heard a cry from down the hall. She smiled and got up. She then went from her least favorite job to her favorite in the world. She walked down the hallway to a big nursery painted very cheerfully and looked into the crib to find her small infant son crying.
Celestia and her wife, Twilight, have tried for a baby for many years! After many spells failed, Twilight’s brother openly gave her his sperm! After 9 months of excitement and impatient waiting, Celestia gave birth to the new royal. It has been 300 years since her last baby and 600 since her last son! Celestia was now a mother again with the only person she ever wanted to have children with, Twilight.
“Hello my sweet Shining Star!” Celestia said, picking up the child in her soft dainty hands.
The two-week-old was in his ducky footie pajamas that his aunt, Rarity, had made for him. He whined a little until Celestia plaud off her shirt a little, opening her bosom for the infant to snack on.
Celestia cooed and started to sing a song,
“I love my sweet sunshine!
When the days are dreary
He always brightens up my day.
I love him so much, more then he will ever know!
My love for my sunshine is so strong that it could melt the snow!”
When Celestia was singing, she got a flashback from 1200 years ago. She was doing this for her first child, Star Dancer! Celestia began to reminisce about how she and her siblings would play in the old field and would pick daisies and pretend that they were dragons in the sky! However, Celestia reminiscing soon turned somber as she remembered something that she had tried to forget.
She was holding her daughter on her deathbed. She was all wrinkled and old, but Celestia didn't seem to notice.
“Mother,” Stardancer said, partially dead
“Yes child!”
“Why is it I grow old and die while you don't seem to have aged a day since I was 4?”
“I don't know Stary, but I think it has to do with my sister and I being goddesses. We haven’t aged since we were 35. It's very unfair isn't it?”
“Yes,” and with that, Stardancer let out her last breath and died. After that Celestia didn't have any more children for 200 years.
Star Shine moaned a little which lead Celestia back to reality! Celestia propped the infant up a bit and gently patted him on the back. He let out a burp!
“Feeling better sweetie!” Celestia said smiling. “You know I’ve been working so hard, I deserve a baby break!” Celestia said as she was trying to get her mind off of the memory of seeing her child die. She sits down on a rock chair nearby and held him close. She rocked back and forth, making the baby boy drift off to sleep!
“You’re so adorable when you're asleep!” Celestia laughed.”You're just like your great great brother, Trot Hoof!”
Again, Celestia thought about Trot Hoof’s funeral. This made her tear up a bit, but then a very somber thought came to her mind. She imagined once again holding the hand of a old man, whom was her son! He coughed and said, “Mother, I don't want to leave you!”
“I know, honey, but it's part of life!”
“Not yours!” He said, trying to gasp for air
“Don't leave me mommy!” Star Shine said taking his last breath.
This lead Celestia to break into hysterics and snuggling the child closer than ever.
“Oh, Star Shine! Oh Star Shine, I love you so much. Why can't you stay with me forever?”
The boy woke up and started to cry with his mother, though he did not understand what she was crying about, he could tell something was wrong and cried with her.
Twilight was in the downstairs castle library reading. When Spike, who was lazily resting on the ground, told Twilight that Celestia and Star were crying upstairs! She ran upstairs to the nursery and saw Celestia holding her son tight and the two of them were crying!
She went to her little boy and gently picked him up while shushing him. She did a minor spell to calm his little body.
“You stay here buddy, I'm going to talk to mommy and see what's up!” Twilight said, placing her son in the crib.
She pulled her wife up and walked her into the next room. They sat gently and Twilight wrapped her arms around Celestia. “What's wrong?” asked Twilight.
”Why did you ask me to have a baby?” Celestia said, still sad.
“What's wrong with Star?”
“Nothing! He's a beautiful and loving baby, that's the problem!”
Twilight was very confused still rubbed her back, “I don't see the problem!”
Celestia sniffles and says, “Twilight? You know that I’ve had many children in my lifetime!”
“Yes, I remember reading about some of them in textbooks!”
“And you know that none of them live an eternal life like me and my sister do!”
“Yeah, so?”
“Well Twilight, you see I loved every one of them very much. They were my pride and joy, but like many things in life, they don't last a long time and they died!”
“Yeah, but what does this have to do with Star?”
“Well my dear I can't bear to see another child of mine die! It's the scariest and saddest thing I've had to go though in my life! I mean I raised them when they were young and to see them be gone hurts me in words I can't explain! Star is such a wonderful baby, I love so much, but I don't want to see him die. I don't want to see another one of my precious, wonderful children die!” Celestia breaks into tears again.
“Gosh, I've never thought of that. Are you sure there isn't some spell or something we can do?”
“I've tried everything and nothing works, I’ve even tried making them a demi-god like you, Twilight, but the spells never work!” Celestia said while blowing her nose.
“Wait! If I’m a demigod princess, and I live a bit longer than most people, does that mean I'll have to experience this too?”
“Gosh, Twilight I never thought of it! I guess so!”
Twilight teared up a little of that thought, but soon told Celestia “I’ll be with you to mourn the loss of our child together.”
“Huh?”
“Celestia, know whatever happens to Star, I will be there by your side, I promise. I'll help you morn and I will dry your tears!”
“You will?”
“Of course why wouldn't I. This time it will be different, you'll have me!”
“I will won’t I?”
Celestia and Twilight share a long and huge hug.
“But, Celestia, remember that that's still several years from now! Don't worry about the future and enjoy him while he's here. He's still only two weeks old you know!
“I know!”
A cry came from the nursery, as if he was wondering if his mother was alright.
They walked in.
“Hey there buddy!” Twilight said as she picked him up.
“Don’t worry mommy’s alright now!” Celestia said.
“Hey Celestia, why don't you hold him and I’ll go get one of his books and we read to him?”
“Excellent idea, Twilight!” Celestia said.
Twilight walked over to his bookshelf and picked out one of their favorites.
The two of them snuggled up on a rug as Twilight started to read.
“Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.” Twilight said.
As Twilight read, Celestia couldn't help but feel like she was the best mother and wife in the world.
