Chapter 1: The Death/ funeral of the Doctor
I was sitting in the living quarters of the Library when I was notified of this tragedy. A letter had materialized into the room, and plopped down in my lap. I opened it, and read:
Dear Ryan,
I am most sorry to tell you that your friend, the Doctor, has died.
He was killed on a trip to 9010, and his machine brought him back.
He was a great friend of Luna and I, and a great savior. I hope you can accept this.

I was sad. The Doctor had been a great friend, but I remember being with the Doctor when he was told that 'his song would end.' At first, I thought It was said only because of the fact that all of the Doctor's incarnations switch to a new Sonic Screwdriver after regenerating. But now, I realized it also meant his life. I made one choice right then and there:  I'm attending the funeral.
The next day:
I wore my best suit, and a bowtie. I looked in the mirror and saw the tie on my neck. I thought of the Doctor, and decided to skip the bowtie so I wouldn't think of him again.
When I arrived, all of the citizens of Equestria (Well...except Gilda) were there. I looked at the Doctor's gravestone, and this is what I saw:
RIP
The Doctor
Date of birth: Unknown
Date of death: January 3, 9010 (Native Time)
"Doctor." I said. "Doctor, Doctor, Doctor, Doctor."
"Excuse me sir." I turned and saw a elder pony behind me. "My name is Regal Script, and I'm writing a book on the Doctor, and I was wondering if you could tell me who was asociated with him, other than you."
"Well," I started. "There's Susan Forman, Jamie McCrimmon, Brigadier Stewart, Peri Brown, Sarah Jane Smith, Romana (I pointed to the pony known as 'Colgate'), K-9, a robot dog, Rose Tyler, Mickey Smith, and Captain Jack Harkness."
