//-------------------------------------------------------// Cold Canterlot -by Lop889763- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The murder //-------------------------------------------------------// The murder Rainbow Dash yawned and looked at her clock. It read 7 am. The groggy pegasus mare rolled out of bed and got some coffe. She looked out her window. It was raining. She had only recently moved to Canterlot, and she hated it. The ponies here were very snobby, and her employer wasn't paying her much at her new job. Her minimum wage job meant that she had to rent a crappy apartment with not much room to put her stuff. She went into the main room and put on her lab coat despite it being her day off. The coat was comfy and looked pretty good, if she didn't say so herself. She sat on the couch and looked around. The apartment was crouded, mostly because she took a lot of stuff from her old home in Ponyville and took it to her new home in canterlot. The rain outside was slowly but surely turning into snow. Dashie remembered being a little filly and playing in the snow. She took out a scrapbook and looked through the pictures of her making snowmares with her parents. She smiled.   Sudenly, she heard hoofsteps. She ran to the window and looked outside. She saw somepony. It was Scootaloo. The younger orange mare was obviously having trouble seeing because the snow was getting more and more intense. Rainbow sighed and started making another cup of coffe, in case the younger mare wanted some. Before she could get done making the coffe, there was a knock on her door. "Who is it?" she shouted, annoyed. (Of course, she knew that it was Scootaloo, but Scootaloo didn't know that.) "Uh, it's me. Scootaloo." the orange pegasus replied. She sounded very nervous, though. Dashie set down her mug of coffe and a small table next to the couch. The table also had a large rock on it. She went to go unlock the door, and was greeted by an obviously nervous Scootaloo with a fake smile plastered on.   Scoots also had a heart-shaped box of chocolates and some roses. "What is it, hearts & hooves day?" Rainbow Dash snorted, unappreaciativly. Scootaloo lost her fake smile and looked like at any moment she was going to burst into tears. Rainbow sat on the couch and grabbed the tv remote. "What's the matter, kiddo?" she asked. Instead of sitting down next to her, Scootaloo ran up to Rainbow and hugged her for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, Dashie pushed her off. The younger mare staggered backwards a bit, and it took her a minnute to get back to reality. Dashie stood up. "What was that for?" she asked, glaring at the younger pegasus. "You nearly choked me!" Scootaloo blushed a deep crimson red. "I-I uhh..." she stammered. Finally, she looked up at Dashie and said, "I'm in love with you!" Rainbow was legitamently shocked. It wasn't weird though, Scootaloo was just a couple years younger than Dashie. Anyways, back to the story. wait where was i?  oh right. Rainbow said, "I'm sorry, Scootaloo." The older mare looked down at her lap. "I don't love you. My heart belongs to Rarity."   Scootaloo's jaw dropped. She wiped away a couple tears in her eyes, and the older mare walked over to comfort her. Suddenly, the orange pegasus was filled with fury, and shoved away Rainbow's hoof. "I can't beleive you!" she screamed. the young mare stood up. "After all the presents, all the sleepovers, all the time we've spent together! You couldn't feel a drop of attraction to me?!?" Rainbow realized how obvious it was. Over the past couple years, Scoots had been showering her with attention and gifts, she even gave her concert tickets to see 'Insane Pony Posse', Dashie's favorite heavy metal band. Those tickets costed 200 bits per pony! Dashie truely felt sorry. "Scoots, I'm sorry. I-I," Scootaloo lunged forward and screamed, "ENOUGH!" the younger mare started to punch her older friend. The punches weren't very strong, but they still hurt.   "Hey, stop it!" Rainbow yelled. Scootaloo ignored her and just got more violent. Dashie finally decided to do something when Scoots punched her snout and gave her a nosebleed. "You have no idea who you're messing with," growled Dashie. She began to fight with the younger mare. Even when both of the pegasi mere bleeding and had a lot of bruises, Scootaloo wouldn't run out of energy. Finally, Rainbow decided to end it. She grabbed the rock from the table, and brought it down on Scootaloo's skull. Scoots stopped fighting. She looked up at Dashie, and then collapsed on the floor. Moments later she was dead.   Rainbow looked down at the body in horror. Had she really just done that? She had to call someone... Twilight! Twilight would know what to do. Dashie ran over to her phone and dialed in Twilight's number. "Yes, Hello?" the Princess of friendship asked. "Twilight! It's me, Rainbow. I-" Dashie was cut off by Twilight. "Oh, hi! Do you need anything? Are you planning a visit to ponyville? I can help you schedule it. Let's see.. If you want to visit me, I'm free on Tuesday. But not Wendsday. Wendsday is bad for me." the Purple pony princess said. "I killed Scootaloo!" Rainbow blurted out. "Oh, and not Thursday. I've gotta go visit- WAIT WHAT?!?!" Twilight screamed. "I know, It's terrible! It's just that, she started fighting me, a-and I had a-a-alot of anger inside me because I hate it here an I h-hate my job. Please, Twilight. You've just got to understand!" the blue mare pleaded. Twilight sighed. "I understand. Once, I was really frustrated with somepony, and I took it out on Spike. I never got over the guilt." The cyan pegasus felt better after Twilight's story, but then she realized something.   "Twi, this isn't just me hitting her! I killed the filly for goodness sake! I'm a murderer! They're gonna lock me up! Please, you have to do something!" Rainbow started weeping. Not only because she just killed one of her best friends, but because she was worried about what the future would hold for her. "Don't worry," Twilight said in a soothing tone. "It's the princess' job to decide if someponiy's gonna be put in jail. I'll tell the other princesses your story, and hopefully they'll belive it. Now, let's start scheduling the funeral!"
