Things weren't always like this, and by this I mean that I was not always a "Hero of Legend", as I would put it. I was a normal guy who lived in New York City. I used to watch some anime and read fan fictions most of the time. The thing I really loved though were video games, specially the mobile game called Brave Frontier. I spent countless hours playing that game, my favorite mobile game by a mile of the others I've played. Comic Con was just around the corner,so I decided to attend it for my first time. I decided that I would be cosplaying as Holy Flame Vargas. I must say; that costume was a bitch to make, but it all came together in the end.
When I got there, I was instantly overwhelmed by the amount of people that attended the con. While I shouldn't be surprised, it is Comic Con, I was still a little bit nervous at seeing so many people in one place. Regardless, I continued my path through the con, meeting different people, admiring some costumes, buying lunch, etc. After about 2 hours in the convention I was honestly at a loss of ideas of what to do next. Then I saw it, the exact item I needed in order for my Holy Flame Vargas cosplay to be complete.
"No way..." I said,staring at an exact replica of Vargas' sword while in holy flame form.
I went over to it and confirmed it was what I needed. But then, a creepy old man came from seemingly out of nowhere and asked me a question.
"Did this catch your attention?" He said in what I think was the creepiest voice ever.
"AH! Where did you come from?"
"Are you interested in buying this certain item?" He asked, ignoring my sudden surprise. I may as well just roll with it.
"Huh, well yes!" I said excitedly. "How much for the sword?"
He smiled and said "Usually I would sell it at tag prize, but seeing as your costume is so in sync with the sword, I'll sell it to you for $30."
If I was any less of a guy, I would have squealed with joy at the offer. "Awesome!" Taking out my wallet and giving the money to the old man.
"Good choice." He said smiling with that creepy smile again. Ignoring the smile, I started swinging the sword and realized something. This sword feels real, like made out of steel because it feels WAY too heavy to be fake. At that moment I started to feel dizzy and fell to the floor.
I slowly turned my body towards the old man and he was laughing.
That laugh was the last thing I heard before I thought "shit" and fell unconscious.
I woke up with a pounding headache and blurry vision. After the pain stopped somewhat and my vision became clearer, I tried getting up. Emphasis on the word tried. My face met the ground once again when I felt pain all over my body when I was trying to get up.
"Well, that won't work..." I said and continued to lay there until the pain was gone.
It was about 5 minutes until I was finally able to get up. Once I did, I noticed my surroundings. I was in a forest of sorts, and it was super dark I could barely see about 3 meters away. Then I noticed some thing else; it was night. I could barely see the moon through the trees. "Whatever the hell happened to me had to be that old man's doing! I thought as I continued walking through the forest. As I was walking, I heard a twig snap and a low growl came soon after I turned in the snap's direction. Slowly, a creature that seemed to come straight from a fan fiction approached me. I started to mentally started to freak out. "Oh, I'm in deep shit now." I looked like a lion, but with bat wings and a scorpion's stinger, not to mention that it was AT LEAST 3 times bigger than I was. I started to back up until I hit a tree behind me, not a second later, the beast leaped at me with it's mouth wide open. All I could do at that moment was cover my face with my arms and scream.

I realized that I wasn't inside the beast's mouth, so I slowly uncovered my eyes. What I saw next shocked me. There was a Mew levitating the beast with it's psychic powers. The Mew then proceeded to throw the creature that tried to eat me across a clearing that was nearby. The creature then whined and ran away. The Mew then turned to me smiling, then came close and nuzzled my chest which was currently covered in armor. I then shook my head and noticed something, "Wait a second..." I the looked myself over, I was still in my costume, at least that's what I would have thought if I didn't touch my armor. It felt way too real to be my costume. As I continued to look my self over, the Mew was still looking at me with a smile as I looked over my shoulder. On my back was, to my complete shock, a set of wings that looked exactly like Holy Flame's. After I took notice of the wings they started glowing in their signature red, yellow and orange. I looked at Mew,then my armor, then (apparently) "my" wings. I repeated this process at least 10 times before I yelled to the heavens.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!"
Then Mew yelled "MEEWW" to the heavens as well.
Luna's POV
"Tia, did you hear something?" I asked to our sister.
"I did, but I wounder what it was..." Celestia said while we pondered about what made that noise.
"Nevertheless, we have to focus on the task at hand. We must make sure our little ponies are safe from the war to come."
"Indeed, let us continue." I said as I continued filling out paper work. " We only hope that the war is not spread to a worldwide scale."
