While most of the Apple family is close friends with the Rich family, in every family there is always a black sheep. And Apple Bloom is that black sheep, until a certain event unfolded.
After a traumatic experience, Diamond Tiara is left in the care of Apple family as they are the guardians in case something happens to Filthy Rich. Which something did.
