Celestia sighed happily as she thought about her up coming party. It was going to be her 150th birthday and there was going to be a lot people. She then thought about the ring that she had been hiding for years, decades even, maybe even a century. She wondered what would happen to it when she couldn't use it anymore. She was probably going to give it to Twilight, her niece after the party was done. Celestia then wondered where Twilight was, then realized that she was probably waiting for Rarity, the wizard Celestia had know for decades.
Twilight was waiting at the edge of the forest road, waiting for Rarity, one of the most famed wizards in middle earth, partially for her fireworks, partially for her incredible fashion sense. Twilight began to wonder where she was when she realized that she could hear a horse pulled carriage coming. Hopping that it was Rarity, she jumped up and started to run to the carriage. She turned the corner, and saw Rarity. "Where were you? You were supposed to be here about 10 minutes ago!" Twilight said. Rarity replied, "A wizard is never later, nor is he or she early, they always arrive exactly when they mean to." "That's just another way of saying that your fashionable late." "Good point." They then started to laugh, and when they where done, Twilight said, "It is so good to see you again, Rarity." "Yes, quite good." "Do you have the fireworks?" "Yes, but they are for your aunt's party." "Ok, I'm just checking. What kind of fireworks do you have?" "You shall see." "Ok, fair point. Are you sure I couldn't see at lest some of them now, before the party, you now to see if their are some that Celestia won't like? I do have very good intentions. Mostly." "What do you have planed?" "You shall see."
Celestia was packing her bags. It had been a pretty good night. The fireworks had been set of a bit early by Pinkie and Rainbow Dash. Everyone thought that that was a part of the original plans, but they where all sadly mistaken. Both of them ended up getting in trouble, of course. She had told the kids about some of her adventures, back when she was young, much to the kids delight. However, when the party was coming to an end, the attendees got her to do a speech, and she then decided to freak them out by putting the ring on. The reaction was totally worth it. The crowd started panicking, but a lot more then she would have thought. "Nice speech you had there. Definitely liked the end." Celestia spun around, startled. It was Rarity. Celestia realized that she had gotten so caught up in thought that Rarity had been able to sneak up behind her. "But, one question. What are you going to do with the ring?" "I'm probably going to give it to Twilight, why?" "You have had that ring for a long time. It was probably a good idea to give the ring to someone else." "Your probably right. Well, I should probably go. I'm retiring to Erabor." Celestia picked up her bags and headed to the door. "The ring is still in your pocket" Rarity said. Celestia felt her pocket. "So it is." "You should probably just give it to me." "Ok. Goodbye my precious" Celestia said as she started stroking it. Rarity suddenly grabbed the ring and pocketed it. "Precious? You need help if you start calling this precious." "Ok. When she gets here, please give it to Twilight." "Ok." "Thank you. Bye. Maybe I'll see you again." "Bye. Maybe we will see each other again. It has been nice knowing you." Celestia then opened the door and left.
The Adventure is Debriefed
Twilight got to the house as fast as she could, witch was kind of slow because of the panicking crowd. When Twilight finally got to the house, Celestia was already gone. However, Rarity was there. "Where's Celestia?" Twilight asked. "She has gone to Erebor for retirement. She has left you this ring." Rarity said. "Celestia left her ring? She loved that ring. Will I ever see her again?" Maybe you will. Maybe you won't." " What do you mean by that? How soon is she coming back?" "She is not coming back. You may be going to her. You must destroy the ring in the volcano in witch it was made. In other words, Mount Doom. Their are a lot of bad people that want that ring. Speaking of which, hang on a sec." Rarity lunged for the window, and pulled Spike in. "How long have you been eavesdropping?!?!" Rarity yelled. "I swear, I wasn't eavesdropping! I was just doing the garden!" Spike yelled with fright. "Oh. Sorry then. How much have you heard, and what is your name?" "My name is spike, and I wasn't paying attention, so nothing. Can you please put me down now?" "Sorry. Ok. You have already heard to much. You shall accompany Twilight on her quest to Mount Doom. There is no pay, and you will most likely die." "Is this necessary? I don't really want to die." "Yes. Yes it is. There are a ton of very logical reasons on why I'm sending you on this quest, and I'd much rather not tell you them because they go on for a while, and you two need to start your quest tomorrow." "Tomorrow?" said Twilight. "Yes. Tomorrow. You need to do it tomorrow. The longer you have it, the more likely it is that you will be found by the bad guys that I was talking about earlier. Most of them are incredibly dangerous." "Most? You don't sound to confident on that." "All of them have some level of danger. I'm only counting Babs because of his addiction to that ring. That is literally the only reason on why I'm counting him. If it wasn't for that ring, he would be dead be now, and the ring would still be wherever it was that he found it. Maybe in the processes of destroying the ring, you will somehow also kill him. That would be really good.I've been trying to kill him for a long, long time." "Ok. Are you coming with me and Spike?" "I will meet up with you, but I have do something first." "What is it?" "A wizards business is not of your own." "Ok, fair enough point." "Fine, you talked me into it. I have to meet with the head of the wizards, Discord the white. Now, you two should go to sleep. Your both going to need it."
