A beautiful young woman, with golden hair and a flowing seafoam dress. She looked down and blushed in front of the other gems. Alexandrite, Aquamarine, Topaz, and later Spinel and Emerald. She looked up shyly.
“Hi, I’m SunStone.”
“Hello, SunStone. I’m Alexandrite. You can call my Alex for short.” he ran a hand thru his pink bangs, green hair, and the purple hairs on his neck.
“hi...” she said shyly, as a soft gray bunny hopped up to her. Alex blinked hard.
“Is that your bunny?”
“Kind-of” she picked the bunny up, petting it’s fur and passing it to Alex,“Meet DustBunny, DB for short.”
“Oh, hello, DustBunny!”
“He likes you!” SunStone giggled. A yellow haired man tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned her head.
“Hello there!” She chirped.
“Oh, hello Topaz” Alex said cooly, with an undertone of siblings-ness. SunStone’s eyes darted between the two men.
“hello” she said to Topaz. The girl with the silky blue hair, Aquamarine, “Oh my gosh, I love your hair!!” Suddenly a gray-blue cat rubbed herself on Aqua’s legs. She looked at the cat and smiled.
“Hello there!”
“Her name’s...Azule. Have you met DB?” SunStone turned to show her DustBunny”
“Awww. It’s so CUTE!” she said, petting it lovingly.
“Aqua. Calm down!” Topaz chuckled, while SunStone covered her mouth giggling adorably. Alex unfused while SunStone’s back was turned, and Speil ran off to check on his lab. Emerald snuck up behind her.
“BOO!!!!”
“Eeekkk!” squealed SunStone jumping a foot in the air. She landed and looked around, “Where’d the...” She chewed on her lip, she couldn't remember his name.
“Ah, you mean Spinel? He’ll be here soon.” answered Emerald.
“But..Where’d he go...” her head had been tilted but she then she looked up into his eyes and went silent.
“Uhm. Well. He had to go check on his laboratory.” Emerald answered again.
“Okay,” She whispered.
“Uh..are you broken?”
“No,” she said, still whispering suddenly her voice returned to normal, “Duck!”
“What? Quack?” he misunderstood her completely. A fledgling pheasant, just learning to fly, ran into his face.
“No, I’m sorry. I meant for you literally to duck.” She picked up the fledgling, petting it’s head and cooing to it, all the while having a loving expression.
“Oh, um. Sorry Bird”
“It’s okay...Isn’t it Birdie” cooed SunStone. At some point the others had wandered off, without the two gems noticing, until now. Emerald coughed awkwardly, while SunStone blushed a coppery color contrasting her light skin. Emerald didn’t seem to notice.
“So...How are you?”
“I’m good, are there any really high up places?”
“Well at our house, yeah” said Emerald
“Let’s go! We gotta get this Birdie in the sky!” Then Emeral runs to the house with SunStone running after him with the bird in her arms. When they get to the house, SunStone realizes it’s a mansion and stops dead, her head tilted up staring.
“Well, Come inside!” Emerald invites her inside, while going in himself.
“It’s huge...”
“A lot of Gems live here.” Emerald stated.
“More than just you guys?” Inquired SunStone.
“Yeah. Amber, Snowflake and our pet dragons” Emerald told her happily.
“Amber? Snowflake? wait...Dragons!” Said SunStone with a hint of jealousy before hearing the end of Emerald’s explanation. A small dragons breath fire opal dragon waddled up to SunStone and rubbed herself against her legs.
“It’s so beautiful” SunStone whispered bending down to touch the dragon. The little thing squeaked and nuzzled her hand with her snout, wanting to be pet. SunStone happily obliged. She looked up at Emerald.
“What’s it’s name?"
“Fire Opal based of the gem it looks like.” He said.
“She’s beautiful, I love her.” Fire Opal jumped into SunStone’s arms.
“She’s a baby, she hatched only last week” commented Emerald. SunStone lightly squeezed the baby Dragon.
“She’s adorable. And sooo cute,...Like someone else I know”
“Oh? And who’s that?” Emerald said just the littlest bit of jealousy. SunStone just smiled quietly at him, “Okaayy...”
“Anyway we still need that high up place” She looked at him with the same smile.
“Right!” Emerald took off to the highest window in the mansion, and opened it. SunStone leaned herself half way out, Fire Opal flapped her wings and squeaked.
“Careful!” Emerald said with a tinge of panic.
“Sorry, but this place is perfect!” SunStone picked up the fledgling and threw her out the window. Suddenly a large dragon flew into view, it took one look at the pheasant, “DON’T YOU DARE, YOU KNOW SHE GETS A YEAR FIRST!!!” The large green dragon growled.
“Jade! Stop that!” Yelled Emerald at the dragon. SunStone’s earrings started to glow and pulse, expressing her mood. Jade glared at her with his slit eyes. She glared back with her almond shaped eyes. Jade released a deafening roar.
“La la la la la” Sang SunStone, the dragon growled and flew away, her earrings start to dim, “MoonStone said my gift was singing...”
“Oh, don’t worry! It was beautiful! Jade hatched a weird way, he’s a bit different.”
“It’s okay, weird is adorable” Fire Opal squeaked at her, “Oh Fire Opal, you tie for my favorite!” Suddenly, fire opal began to purr, “I didn’t know dragons could purr, how peculiar” the pipsqueak dragon flapped her wings.
“Well, they can. Pretty interesting, huh?”
“Yes, definitely” answered SunStone.
