The Stolen Son
Stolen Away
Load Full StoryChapter 1: Stolen Away
The royal family of United Kingdom had their newborn son eight months ago. It was all over the news. People would get as many pictures as possible of the newborn. Headlines like "Another Newborn?" or "More Babies?" were all over the Sunday Times. But tonight, all of that attention would change to panic.
***
That night, the eight month old was sleeping in his crib in his large room. Suddenly, there was a bright blue flash, and a dark cloaked equine-like creature appeared. She walked up to the small human infant and chuckled. "You will be the final piece to my master plan." she whispered. Her horn glowed a blue hue and the infant was put into a basket wrapped in a purple blanket with a star pattern on it. This made the baby wake up and start crying loudly. "Shoot!" she whispered. She then heard loud stomping and two tall guards walked in. "Halt! Who goes there?!" one of them shouted. But the equine figure was gone, but not before tripping on a stray toy on the ground. The baby was teleported one way, as the equine was teleported the other.

Fluter shy got up from a much needed rest to find Angel Bunny hopping towards her with a bowl, rubbing his stomach.
"Oh, you all must be hungry! I'm sorry, I just really needed some sleep." She said. She walked downstairs and fed all the animals. She walked to the table to make her breakfast. She was just about to start when a large blue flash appeared out next to her cottage. She jumped at the sudden sound and hid under the table. Angel hopped over to the window and saw a small basket with a blanket in it. He hopped up and down squeaking and making random gestures.
"S-Should I-I go look?" she asked, still shaking. Angel nodded and Fluttershy slowly crawled out of the house. She approached the basket and saw a small ape looking creature suckling his thumb happily sleeping. "Oh my, poor thing. I must get you inside!" Fluttershy exclaimed. She fluttered slowly to her house and set the baby on a table. "I wonder what it is though. Maybe I should go to the library to see." So she fluttered off.

Twilight Sparkle was sitting under a tree in Canterlot reading a book, as usual. She was reading about the Mare in the Moon.
"Elements of Harmony, I know I've heard of those somewhere, but where?" she asked to nopony in particular.
***My little pony! My little pony!***
Twilight was rushing to her library in Canterlot castle, but she was stopped by her friends.
"Hey Twilight! Moon Dancer's having a little get together in the west castle courtyard. Wanna come?" one of them asked.
"Oh sorry girls. I've got a lot of studying to catch up on." she said as she ran off.
"Does that pony do anything else but read?" another said.
"I know I've heard of the Elements of Harmony." she said to herself as she raced down the cobblestone pathway. She raced past many of her friends, some even waved. But Twilight heeded no attention to them. She raced up the stairs up to the library entrance. She burst through the doors and sent Spike flying. "Spike? Spiike?" she yelled for Spike the baby dragon. Spike was laying on the floor dazed. "Quick, find me that old book of Predictions and Prophecies." she ordered to Spike. He looked at his tail and saw his present for Moon Dancer's party was impaled on it. "What's that for?" Twilight asked.
"Well, it was a gift for Moon Dancer, but." he said as a stuffed bear with a hole in it fell out of the bottom.
"Oh Spike, you know we don't have time for those things." Twilight said, shoving books off of a stack.
"But we're on a break." Spike said.
Twilight started filing through books with her magic and started saying, "No... no, no,no,no,no. SPIKE!!"
"It's over here." he said as he was ripped of the ladder. He fell face first onto the floor. Twilight flipped through the book and looked for the word 'Elements'.
"Ah ha! Elements of Harmony; see Mare in the Moon?" she said questioningly. "Mare... Mare, ah ha! The Mare in the Moon, a myth from the old pony times. A powerful pony, who wanted to rule Equestria. Defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned in the moon. Legend says that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape. And she will bring nighttime eternal!" she gasped after finished reading it. "Spike, do you know what this means?"
"No." he replied before he fell off the ladder and onto Twilight's back.
"Take a note please, to the Princess." Twilight said. Spike nodded and jumped off of Twilight's back. "My dearest teacher, my continuous studies of pony magic have led for me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster."
"Hold on, preci... precipice." he paused and looked at Twilight for help.
"Threshold."
"Thre..."
"Brink?"
"Ugh, that something really bad is going to happen!" Spike scribbled those words on the piece of parchment. "For you see, the mythical Mare in the Moon is in fact Nightmare Moon. And she is about to return to Equestria, and bring with her eternal night! Something must be done to prevent this prophecy from coming true! I await your quick response, your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."
"Twilight... Sparkle. Done!" Spike shouted.
"Great, send it." Twilight said.
"Now?"
"Of course" she said.
"Uhm, I don't know Twilight, Princess Celestia is really busy getting ready for the Summer Sun Celebration. Ans it's like the day after tomorrow." Spike said.
"That's just it Spike. The day after tomorrow is the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration. It's imperative the Princess is told right away!" Twilight responded.
"Okay." Spike said. He breathed in and blew out. The letter burst into green flames and the smoke blew off into the distance.
