A Displaced Fox and Wolf's Tale
Can this day get any worse? (Fox)
Load Full Story"This is all your fault!" My rival, Scott, yelled at me.
"My fault?! How is this my fault?! It was that freakin' weirdo's fault! He was the one who threw that box at us, and look where we're at now!" I yelled back. "Throwing blame won't help us! We need to find our way home, and get our bodies back!"
"Don't tell me what to do, you legless freak!" He retorted.
"I have legs now! You can clearly see them!" I gestured to my new pair of legs. I lost my legs in a freak accident involving peanut butter a few years back, and Scott never stopped insulting me about it.
"You don't have organic legs! All you have are a pair of stupid looking metal ones!" He said with a laugh. "They wouldn't even help you while flying!"
I wanted to punch him, I really did, but punching him wouldn't help us at all. We were once two ordinary human teenagers, who were getting into an argument like we usually would, being rivals since we were toddlers, when a strange cloaked man came over, and threw a box at us. A bright flash of light later, we found ourselves as our favorite characters in the Star Fox series. I was Fox Mccloud, and Scott was Wolf O'Donnell. And we found ourselves in some kind of forest. We've been arguing for about an hour after being transformed. I kept telling him we need to find shelter and a way home, but he wouldn't listen to me.
My eyebrow twitched as I thought of an idea. "Fine. See you later. Good luck surviving on your own." I started walking away from the clearing we found ourselves in.
"Where do you think you're going?!" He yelled, as I was walking away.
I just waved my hand, not looking back. "I'm going to survive on my own, as you don't seem to want to. Maybe I'll find my way home." I honestly didn't care much if I got my body back or not. I feel stronger and faster than ever before, and I have legs back.
"Get back here!" I heard his voice yell in anger, but I started running, dashing past trees using my new speed.
I ignored him and kept on running.
I heard my stomach rumble. "I need something to eat." Right as I said that, I saw a little bunny rabbit, staring at me in surprise. "Can you talk?" I asked, just wondering if I can understand animals in this body, so I don't accidentally eat Peppy.
The rabbit shook it's head. 'Darn, it seems way to smart for me to enjoy eating. I'll just go with fish.' I turned, and started moving in another direction.
Eventually, I did come across a wide stream, that occasionally had fish jumping out of it. 'Yes! I'm parched!' I quickly run over, before kneeling down, and taking a handful of water before drinking it. I kept doing this until I sated my thirst. It was kinda difficult to work around my new mouth, as I had sharper teeth, and a longer face.
I looked around the small area I was in, and still didn't see any signs of civilization. "I wonder how Scott's doing?" I chuckled. "Probably arguing with the trees or something." I instantly stopped chuckling when my new ears picked up a strange sound. They flickered about until they located the source. I looked out of the corner of my eye, and saw a huge bear, slowly stalking towards me. I quickly got to my feet, and I was the same size as the bear. "Easy now. I may look like a fox, but I'm not." I took a step back, before the bear decided to lunge at me.
Screaming in fear, I started running, the bear quickly chasing after me, neither gaining or losing ground. Eventually, I got trapped by a rather high cliff wall. I tried jumping, but I couldn't reach the ledge. I turned around, seeing the bear slowly coming up to me. 'Need a weapon! Need a weapon! I won't die today!' As I felt my body for a weapon I might not have noticed, I felt a strange shape on my belt. I looked down, and saw a gun. 'No, it's Star Fox's blaster!' I quickly grabbed it, and pointed it at the bear. "My only regret is that I have nothing cool to say." I pulled the trigger, and a red beam quickly came out, and pierced the bear's foreleg. The bear stopped, looked at the wound in shock, before looking at me, and then ran away. "Yeah, you better run." I said as I stood back up.
I holstered my gun, and looked up at the rock ledge. "Maybe, I have some of Star Fox's Smash abilities?" I tried jumping, before realizing something. 'How am I supposed to jump in midair?' I landed on the ground, before trying again. This time though, I flipped in midair, and that increased my jump height, enough to let me grab hold of the ledge. I pulled myself up, and just sat there, laying on my back, before I started laughing.
I stopped laughing when a bunch of spears were held at my face. I looked over to see a bunch of strange bird lions. 'Griffons?' I thought, remembering what I read about them.
"What is it, sir?" One of them asked. There were three in total.
"I don't know, but it looks like it might be tasty." The one in the middle responded.
"Whoa! Stop right there! You can't eat me! I have sentience!" I yelled, which caused all three of the griffons to back off in surprise. I flipped to my feet, and looked at all three of them cautiously.
"It can talk, sir!" The one on the left pointed out.
"I can see that!" The one in the middle replied. Deciding to get away from these three, I started walking to the right, being careful not to get to close to them, or to fall off the cliff. "Hold it!" I sighed, before seeing the spears pointed at my face. "My father will be pleased if I bring back a rare individual. You are to come with me!"
"No." I said, and the griffon in the middle looked shocked, as if he never heard that word before. "I do not want to be eaten, so I'll be on my way." This time, I started to run away, but the three griffons flew ahead of me, before shoving their spears in my face.
"You have no right to deny me! Do you know who I am?!" The lead griffon yelled.
"I don't care." I answered.
"I am Prince Sharpclaw! First son of King Fastbeak! And you will address me with respect! Now, come with me!" Seeing as how the spears were directly in my face, and my back was to the cliff, it seemed like I had two options.
