1000 years of Regret
Everypony knows who Celestia is. A ruler, and a mother figure. She cares for everypony and loves all. She seems like a perfect pony. But, even a ruler makes mistakes.
Celestia knew that Luna wouldn't immediately forgive herself. But, she didn't know how far she went. She didn't know of the Tantabus, or the nightmares. And she certainly didn't know the near destruction of all of Equestria. Only after Luna told her of that faitfull night, did she show her feelings that she hid for a 1000 years.
