Sunset Shimmer has been acting weird. Not just around a puzzled Twilight Sparkle, but her other friends and complete strangers as well. In all honesty, Twilight believes there's something wrong with Sunset, and Twilight wants to find out what and wants to help.

However, when the purple Princess finds out that she may be the cause of this awkward behavior, she also learns of an embarrassing secret Sunset has been keeping for too long. And this may cause Twilight to think of the orange girl as more than just a best friend.

grabbed a thick blue scrunchie off of her dorm room table, quickly putting her hair up into a messy bun. She turned to her friend , who scowled at the terrible hairdo and shook her head. "Twilight, I will always love you, my friend, but that hairstyle has got to go. I presume you didn't put much plan into your looks before the Festival?" asked, staring at her best friend's hair in criticism. shrugged sheepishly, tugging the scrunchie nervously, letting more strands of her hair fall out of place.

"Well, I don't really get dressed up for this type of thing. Unlike you." Twilight stared at 's shockingly purple dress embedded with faux diamonds. her stylish friend had matching violet flats and a lavender headband in her naturally curly hair, decorated with a genuine lilac. "But I DID plan a little bit." Twilight left once again, and soon came out of hiding wearing a plaid purple skirt, a lilac button-up t-shirt, and large boots. The Princess had also added a thick pair of black-rimmed glasses atop her nose, smiling politely at her friend, who was sitting on a large orange couch in the corner of the room.

"Not bad, but I still do wish you'd style that hair up to match." said, looking at every inch of her friend's outfit, how it fit, and how it all matched together. sighed, grabbing an old hair magazine had once given to her. She flipped through the pages, judging every look, until she found something she could envision herself wearing.

"There," Twilight said, sitting next to to show her, "I want that." nodded in agreement, grabbing some styling supplies from her purse. Twilight had chosen a french braid that was slung gently over the model's shoulder. All Twilight could hear was the snip-snip of scissors, Rarity huffing and puffing in concentration, and her friend's fingers sliding through her sleek hair.

"There you go, darling. And I must admit that it looks amazing with your outfit. It all brings out your eyes." Rarity smiled, looking at her friend, who stood up, staring in the mirror. A slow smile appeared on Twilight's face.
