//-------------------------------------------------------// Metroid Displaced, The Equestrian Universe -by Theyellowninja13- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Previously on Metroid, Displaced in Equestria //-------------------------------------------------------// Previously on Metroid, Displaced in Equestria My name is Samuel Aran. 51 years ago, I got sent to a strange universe filled with ponies who act a lot like humans. 51 years ago, I gained the powers of my favorite video game character ever, Samus Aran. 51 years ago, I changed the history of the planet. 51 years ago, I met a god, battled another, gained control of Phazon, and finished off Samus's greatest rival (well, it was more Connor's doing). 50 years ago, I befriended a strange robot bear (http://www.fimfiction.net/story/257288/sir-freddy-the-golden), and killed the corrupt princess of Equestria. 50 years ago, I left the planet, in search of adventure. I returned, and saved the ponies from a species called Changelings, who had teamed up with Mother Brain, who also seemed a lot more cliche Saturday morning cartoon villain to me. "Hey Sam! Why are you talking to yourself?!" An overly pink pony said, bouncing up and down. "We want to hear your stories!" The ponies around her nodded in agreement. Pinkie Pie hasn't changed one bit since I last saw her. She doesn't even look older, except for a trained eye, where you can see a tired look in her eyes. "Yeah! I bet you kicked serious monster flank!" Rainbow Dash floated into the air, acting like she was kicking some monsters. Rainbow Dash's mane and tail were more grey then the rainbow color I remember, and she had some wrinkles on her face. Makes sense in how they would all age after I was gone for 50 years. They were about 25 when I met them, so it would make them all about 75 years old. "Maybe you've met someone special?" Rarity said, fluttering her eyes like she wanted me to tell her anything about romance I experienced on my adventures. She seemed to age the worst, as her face is almost completely covered in wrinkles. She changed her (now completely grey with a few strands of faded purple) mane and tail style. I chuckled a bit. "Sadly, no. I didn't. But I've got a long life. There's still time." I said with a smile. I was relaxing in comfy chair with my helmet off, and right next to me. I barely aged at all, except for having older looking eyes, and growing a bit of stubble. "Did you meet any cute animals?" Fluttershy asked, still as quiet as ever. She definitely looked older, as she had her mane in a bun, and had about half grey hairs, and half pink. She had a few wrinkles under her eyes, but her eyes still held the same kindness they did half a century back. "What about interesting technology?! There has to be plenty species in space that had advanced technology!" Twilight Sparkle exclaimed. The only thing that changed about her, was that she was taller, her horn and wings were longer, and her mane and tail were flowing in an ethereal wind like Celestia and Luna's do. "I've came across plenty of advanced races. Unfortunately, a lot of them died out during a certain incident. I've also met plenty of cute animals and plenty of dangerous ones." I cast a brief look at Applejack, who hasn't said anything yet. She seemed to have aged a bit, some grey hairs in her mane, but she still looked strong as ever. I turned to ask her something. "So, how have those Cutie Mark Crusaders been? They should be about 65 now?" I asked. Applejack's face lit up. "Oh yes. Applebloom has become an excellent bucker (I mentally flinched at that). She's reminded me a lot of myself. She got her cutie mark in construction." Rarity's face lit up as well. "Oh, and young Sweetie Belle has become quite a singer. She has a lovely singing voice." "And Scoots has become quite the daredevil. Just like moi." She gestured to herself. "She can do some mean tricks on that scooter of hers." "What about you?" Twilight asked. "I've noticed you've been analyzing us, possibly comparing us back to 50 years ago. You don't seem to look any different, but has anything eventful happened?" 'She's trying to get me to start the story.' "I may not look it, but I've changed a lot. I even got a little pet to keep me company when I get lonely." I let out a chirping sound, one that only a certain race can make, before a loud 'squee' sound was heard, and a metroid came down from the ceiling, and landed on my head, resting peacefully. the ponies were about to freak out, but I held up a hand. "It's okay. This is my pet, Fluffles. Well, it's one of Fluffles descendents. I actually got the original Fluffles right before I got my powers. He's been hiding somewhere on my ship, and appeared shortly after I left. He actually considers me his parent." The ponies looked nervous, having recognized what a Metroid looks like from earlier. Fluttershy was the only one brave enough to take a step forward. "Can I see him?" She asked innocently. I smiled, and reached both my hands up, before gently pulling Fluffles off my head, and carefully brought him in front of me, before letting go, and allowing him to float on his own. He gently moved up to Fluttershy, before making a soft 'squee' sound, and floated around her. "He's very nice to others. But he also can get very protective in some scenarios. I bring him along on some of my missions, and he protects me when things get really rough. "That's nice and all, but can you please get on with the story?!" Rainbow exclaimed, throwing her hooves into the air. I chuckled. "Alright, alright. I was just catching up. It's rare for me to be able to take a break like this. I'm always off destroying Space Pirate bases, and blowing up stuff. Or fighting powerful creatures." I take a deep breath in. "Alright, so after I left the planet..."
