The Flame Rekindled

My eyes shoot open, and I quickly take a breath in before looking around. All I saw was white, white everywhere before I noticed a giant door. "What the?" I ask, getting to my feet. My brain quickly recognizes it, and I take a step back in surprise. "No... it can't be. The Gate."

"You are correct." A voice said from behind me. I instantly recognized the strange creature as Truth. It was a humanoid being around my size, that was pure white, with a strange dark aura around it. It radiated a feeling that made me feel insignificant.

"Why am I here?! I didn't preform any human transmutations!" I yelled. It's true, last thing I remember was... oh god. I quickly grabbed my chest, seeing my usual uniform still on, and perfectly fixed, as if I never got hurt at all.

"True. But you are to play an important part in the future. You were never supposed to be in that timeline, but an outside force beyond even my power kept you there. By dying, I could take you, and keep you here until the right time." Truth looked angry at that.

'A power greater than the being that is basically god? What kind of being could have such power?' I mentally asked myself. "So how long do I have to wait here?"

"A few more seconds." Truth said with a creepy smile, and like he said, a few seconds later, I felt a pulling sensation, before my surroundings changed again. I was now in the same room of the castle I remember, but it looked destroyed. I looked down, to see the Eye of Truth at my feet close. I quickly checked over my entire body, glad that I still had everything. Everything from my uniform, to my gloves that allow me to use my alchemy, to my spares. I felt in one of my pockets, and pulled out my watch that shows that I am indeed a State Alchemist. I felt around my neck, glad that my necklace is still there. Luna gave me a necklace to symbolize our trust of each other. I've saved her life countless times, and she has saved mine a bit more that I did. I quickly remembered my predicament, and looked around, paying more attention to detail.

"What the hell happened here?!" I asked. Last thing I remember, this place was built like new, now it looked like it was destroyed in a fight. My eyes widened when I remember why this was the last room I was in before seeing Truth. "Princess Luna!" I yelled, running through the halls, calling out the night princess's name. 'I hope Celestia didn't get to her.' "Luna!"

"Princess Luna!" I yelled, as I burst through the doors to see both Luna and Celestia having an argument.

Luna became less tense when she saw me. "Mustang, what are you doing here?"

"I came with bad news." I whispered in her ear. Ever since Luna found me in the wild, and gave me food, shelter, and other important things, I've been immensely loyal to her. The only problem was that Celestia kept forcing me to do missions for her. Like when I was forced to use my alchemy to end the civil war in the Diamond Dog lands. I took a quick peek at Celestia, and furrowed my brow. She was staring at us, with her eye-patch and sword by her side. "I found out that Celestia is a homunculus. She plans to turn all of the people in Equestria into a philosopher's stone."

Luna's eyes shot open. "Are you sure?" She whispered back. We've both been suspicious of Celestia's behavior, Luna since she first met Celestia, and me since I met her, and instantly suspected that she was either Pride, or Wrath. I really hope she's Pride, but I can't be too sure, as this world seems to have parallels with both animes of Fullmetal Alchemist. But the thing is that Celestia has been trying to take over other countries for a while, and Equestria has constantly been in one war after another.

I nodded. "My research has confirmed my suspicions. Same as in my universe. The leader of Amestris was a guy who was raised to basically create the philosopher's stone by using everyone in the country." Luna only recently learned that the philosopher's stone was made of sentient souls. I seem to have some sort of hindrance that prevents me from revealing information to others about what is going to happen, unless I find proof of it.

"I see. It only makes my reason to overthrow Celestia even greater." Luna took a step forward, but was surprised when I stayed next to her.

"I'm going to help you. I have my own grudge against Celestia for using me as a weapon. Together we might stand a better chance." I tightened the gloves on my hand.

Luna thought about it for a minute, before smiling. "I'm glad to have you by my side." We both faced Celestia, preparing for our coup.

"Where is Luna!" I ask myself in anger. I searched all over the castle, and even in the secret areas of the castle. All I've found was that the Elements of Harmony are missing. I walk over to a nearby window, and see something that shocks me. The clearing around the castle was covered in trees, and there was a small town on the other side of the Everfree Forest that had a huge crystal castle standing above the town. There also appeared to be a huge castle on the mountain in the distance. "I guess I was sent a good amount of time into the future." I sigh, before mentally preparing myself. "Time to gather some intel."
