There was a raging storm outside, Twilight's loud snoring and Rarity being a little too cuddly in her sleep. While Applejack may have foreseen the part of the sleepover where they are awake being a little agitating she never thought the sleeping would be just as irritating. Normally when Applejack had problems sleeping she would go out and hang out with her trees or look at them from the window but tonight their was a storm out, so she would not be able to find comfort in her trees. AJ sighed as once again she failed at entering the dreamland, getting board AJ decided to get out of bed and look around the library while the others were asleep since there seemed to be no other options. When AJ trotted down the stairs to the first floor she winded up seeing the strangest thing. Right before her eyes was all three of the cutie mark crusaders reading something which they hid before she could see what it was. "A-Apple Jack, we can explain." whispered Apple Bloom nervously. "What in tarnations are you doing here in the middle of the night? And how did y'all get here?" questioned AJ who was now standing right next to the CMC. "Oh, we snuck in during the day to read about some activities that aren't talked about that much to see if it is our special talent." replied Scootaloo. AJ gasped in utter shock. Her little sister and her little friends had been there the whole time! That means they saw how AJ and Rarity had acted during the sleepover. "We are really sorry, we shouldn't be reading about that stuff." mumbled Sweetie Belle. AJ partially ignored what Sweetie Belle had said. "Ya know what? It's ok. I got no problem with y'all reading some book at all." replied AJ. "Really?" "Yes, why not take that book and go read it at your clubhouse when the storm ends?" suggested AJ desperate to make sure the CMC stay out of future sleep overs. "Wow, Thank you big sis. Ah am so glad you actually approve." Squealed Apple Bloom who had expected disapproval from AJ. "Come on, let's go to the basement so we can get some sleep." she added this time speaking to the other cutiemark crusaders while putting the book in her sack and sneaking into the basement. AJ still in shock from knowing the CMC had seen her act immature also conveniently missed them finding a basement and continued wondering around the first floor of the library. Until she finally noticed the tree fillies were gone. Shock was replaced with panic, despite the fact that she had missed the CMC during the whole awake sleepover she still let the thought of them being out in the storm cross her mind. AJ sat down, covered her ears and tried to rewind her mind back to last time she had seen the CMC and remember what they had said. "Wow, so glad prove. let's go can sleep." was all AJ could remember hearing. Though she had missed most of what they had said one important fact she definitely did not miss was the word 'sleep'. So the Cutiemark Crusaders left to get sleep? That is one obvious clue out of the way, but still prove whether they are safe and cosy inside or out in the cold frigid storm? AJ glanced outside and decided 'no'. As ignorant as the CMC were even they would not attempt to go out in that weather, but if that is so then where are they. Just where were thru during the first part of the sleep over. How had they managed to hide so well. AJ picked up a lamp they left behind by accident and explored the house more throughly. She checked the bathroom, the kitchen, the main room, and the living room and did not see them anywhere, but she persisted anyways. "Gee, Ah could really use a tiny miracle right now." she muttered out loud to no one in particular. "That is the password." said a random disembodied voice. "Wha?" gasped AJ. Suddenly the a trapdoor that was directly underneath the orange mare opened causing her to fall to her unknown fate. After she landed on the floor she looked around the dark room. She had no idea Twilight had a basement and that the CMC knew about it. That's right, after she fell she saw the CMC sleeping on eachother with the light of a small candle that was in the basement. Just as AJ was thinking things couldnot get weirder she heard a familiar voice scream, "Surprise!" AJ nearly fainted not only were the CMC here but so was Rainbow Dash! "Rainbow Dash? What are ya doin here?" she asked. "Just chillin witn the CMC and keeping an eye on them." "Oh, does that mean ya saw too?" "Saw what?" "The silly fighten between me and Rarity*" "You two fought? Dang it! I knew I shouldn't been hiding in the basement the while time!" whined Rainbow Dash. AJ put a hoof to her mouth, frowened and pointed out the CMC were sleeping. "Sorry." whipered Rainbow Dash sheepishly. AJ let out a sigh of relief. Turns out the CMC had not not seen her acting immature, her reputation was safe. "So, what are you doing down here?" inquired Dash. "Ah was havin trouble sleeping. Can ah sleep down here." replied AJ. Rainbow dash smiled. "Sure." "Thanks, sugarcube." After that they all went to there seperate areas in the secret basement and slept happily ever after. Exept this time everypony slept far away from eachother and wore earplugs.
