This chapter is here due to my editor from fanfiction.net named Dixie Vampire obviously not her real name and she's a close friend of mine but this is to help her keep her identity secret. if her names on her profile than that's her thing but I wont give her name out as a friend!

Chapter 1 Introductions

Hello my name is Sarah and I'm an Enchantress of the Prophet. I was somewhere else, certainly not here. I was fighting and holding my own, in a place called Sanctuary. I was attacked by many Khazra, hit in the back, and everything changed. This is definitely not Sanctuary. I don’t know how I left or where I left to but enough about me let’s get on with the story shall we?

Anyway I've just gotten to this women’s (or mare; whichever term you prefer for a female pony) home and she tells me her name is Fluttershy. As to where I came from sancturary, is a place of magic, death, and destruction. Why do I say this? Well, simply because the demon attacks on humanity are almost daily now so it’s almost impossible to have a day without a demon in your front lawn and I was just a lowly enchantress barely able to fend off eight demons!

Regarding my conversation with Fluttershy; my first question was to establish her Identity to begin with.

"What is your name miss?"

"Fl-Fl-Fluttershy and you?" She barely mumbled back. An appropriate name for what must be the shyest person to ever walk Sanctuary
or anywhere for that matter. If you want to know what she looks like well, she has a pale yellow coat and her mane and tail are a soft hue of pink.

"Sarah Valstrong" I quickly answered. An awkward silence fell between us, a moment passed that urged me on to my next question. Fluttershy’s mane and tail are ridiculously long and she retreats into her rose colored locks in fear at the slightest rustle of the wind. This behavior I find to be personally confusing, as times in the Sanctuary are rough and everyone is hardened or they go mad at this point. Which would suggest I might not be on Sanctuary.

“Do you know where I am and what planet am I on?"

She then gasped and started to briefly panic but she calmed down enough to answer me.

"Yo-you-you’re on the out-outskirts of P-P-Pony-Ponyville, the p-p-planet you-you’re on is Eq-Eques-Equestria." She spoke almost inaudibly due to her stammer. I took a breath to calm my patience and looked to her.

“Thank you, could you point me in the direction of…Ponyville, was it?” She pointed down a dirt road with a shaky hoof.

“Thank you, Fluttershy, good evening.” I said with a smile and turned from the door. I began down the dirt path and less than a minute
passed when a rainbow pegasus flew above me. The wind she produced almost knocked me off my feet.

That was when I noticed that they were not in fact feet but hooves and as I look at myself more thoroughly I seem to look extremely similar to what Fluttershy looks like except my colors were very different. My hair or mane was shorter than hers for some reason. I had not noticed that I was walking on four hooves and when I was knocking on Fluttershy’s door I was probably not paying attention again. Thank the stars that I have instinctual senses ever sense I got polymorphed into a squirrel!

The pegasus landed not 10 feet in front of me. Instinct forced me into an offensive posture, ready for this pegasus to attack. She merely lifted an eyebrow at me, inquisitively. I relaxed and greeted her.

“I am Sarah Valstrong, that was quite an entrance, who are you?”

“I am Rainbow Dash and I am the fastest flier in all of Ponyville!” She said proudly, almost cocky about her skills in the sky. I simply shrugged and asked

"Why would I care? I'm not interested in your speed" Rainbow Dash gasped at my response

"How do you not know me!? I did the Sonic Rainboom at Princess Cadences wedding!" She shouted, I had obviously offended her. She was acting like a child and my motives were too important to be bothered with a child sense of pride.

"I’ve no idea who Princess Cadence is, why her wedding is so important, or what a rainboom is for that matter" I replied. She just gawked at my absolute lack of knowledge of her world and the jab at her pride.

After a moment she regained her ability to speak.

"Are you even from this country at all!?" She asked. I smirked more to myself than anything.

“Nope, I come from a place called Sanctuary were I have to fight for my life every day. So forgive me, I care not for Royal weddings or fast ponies" I told her. She again proceeded to gawk at me. A sheltered pegasus she must have been to have never even met anyone from outside the borders of her home.

“Are you joking? There’s no way I heard that right, right?" I had to laugh.

“I wish I were a liar at this point. Four hours ago I was killing demons! I got stabbed in the back with a javelin and I woke up in a forest near here! I suppose I could still be in Sanctuary and just not regained consciousness yet," I remarked. The ideas beginning to cross my mind would explain the bizarre nature of this world, but how could I dream of such innocence. A nervous pony and a childish pegasus…That’s definitely not me.

"What are you talking about? This is Equestria. Where is this Sanctuary that you just mentioned?"

I couldn't understand how she didn't know. You’d think if I had been dreaming the characters in my dreams would know a little more. And if I wasn’t dreaming, where was I in relationship to Sanctuary and how did I get here.

"It’s where I live, where I've fought demons my whole life, and where I think I died. Though I have to say if this is the afterlife I am awarded…it really sucks" I sneered. The wound in my back did not hurt, you still feel pain in your dreams. Death had to be the answer.

“This isn't your afterlife! Seriously, do I need to take you to the insane asylum!?" Rainbow Dash retorted. I glared at the pegasus and my temper flared.

"Try and I will personally kill you with a lightning bolt" The rainbow horse seemed to be riled and tried intimidating me.

"Oh yeah? Well, I’ll just take you down first!"

I effortlessly willed the power of the lightning within myself as this pony flicked her tail and pinned her ears. As I will the spell into existence I feel a similar sensation but instead of my hooves it’s on something on my head I really need a mirror. I then shot her with a bolt, not enough to harm her just enough to paralyze her for a minute. I walked over to her frozen figure and smirked down at her.

"If you dare try to harm me again I’ll kill you instead of paralyzing you. What was it? Oh! Rainbow Dash. Ta-ta"

Being done with this ‘challenge’ I continued down the dirt path I had been following. Some time passed and eventually I could hear something in the distance. I could hear singing, actual singing. Of all things that I have heard I have never ever heard another human being, let alone a pony, sing. So you can obviously understand when I finally found the musician and discovered to reason for their song, I became dumbstruck. They were rebuilding the town, a town that seemed to have been through some disaster.

I never thought that someone could be so happy after their town was destroyed. Then to hear the entire town singing in unison before. I came out of my stupor as some pony with wings and a horn came up to me.

“Hello, and who might you be?”

"Sarah Valstrong" I answered without even thinking, without even giving her a good look over. I was too distracted by the song of the community

“My name is Twilight Sparkle,” She spoke. I was distracted from the music by that name. Seriously though, what is with these ponies’ weird names? They all seem to relate to what they are as if it was preplanned or did they rename themselves?

Twilight regained my attention by speaking to me again.

“What brings you to Ponyville? I’m afraid I don’t recognize you,”

"I'm not from around here, not even from Equestria. I am coming to realize I am lost. I do not know what I should do now," I admitted to her. Twilight instantly went wide eyed. I didn't think it was possible for pupils to get that big…ever. Anyway she then proceeded to ask a million questions at once.

“Wha-“

“So many questions!” I snapped at her. She then blushed and took a breath.

“I am sorry, it’s just, that would mean you are from overseas. I don’t meet very many foreign ponies!” She chattered.

"I am not a pony but a human enchantress, I was defeated in battle and woke up in this strange place just off in the woods." I corrected her and looked down at myself. I then ask her if i can look in a mirror later she simply states that she would give me a mirror later. The purple Alicorn then started to ask me a million more questions which I was able to put her to a stop with a simple look. She composed herself again and asked just one.

"Why are you a pony now then?"

"I have no idea, but that’s what I want to find out!" Twilight then began to squeal in joy of finding out my new species probably…hopefully. Her excitement was becoming downright scary, I began to worry about the trouble this pony was going to get me into. This was turning out to be an absolutely terrifying day now isn't it?
