Godson: k y’know what, I’mma go do some stuffs. Adios. Shadow: cya. Godson grabbed the top of his laptop’s screen. And with a soft clap, it met the keyboard, forcing it to go into standby mode. He got up from his chair, and began to walk out of his room. When he opened the door, his blankets in his nearby bed started moving about. He took a quick glare, and noticed a certain a white chihuahua with large light brown spots on two sides of her head. He smiled softly. “Need to use the bathroom, Linda?” He signaled his hand to come follow him. She wagged her tail, jumping off of the bed, and running out the door. “Thought so.” He thought aloud, interrupting himself before following her. He turned around, and grabbed his phone before leaving. “Never know when I might need this.” He thought. After it was opened, Linda ran through the door. And Godson promptly exited the house behind her. He stood watch as his dog began investigating the area. Once she finished her duty, she still continued to investigate anyway. He called out to her, however, she didn’t react. She simply kept investigating. Eventually, she stopped right in her tracks. Looked straight in front of her, and began to bark at it. “Linda!” Godson yelled. “Get yo freaking butt over here!” She looked at him, then back at the air in front of her. She then proceeded to run back inside the house, confusing the boy she ditched. He stepped closer to the area, grabbed a nearby rock, and threw it at the air. He expected to see the work simply fly off into the air with no worries. But instead, he got a different outcome. The rock vanished right in front of his face. Startled by this, Godson took a few steps back, grabbed another rock, and watched as the rock vanished after being thrown again. He stepped closer, reached his hand out, and noticed it began to vanish as well. And suddenly, he felt something grab his hand. It tried to pull him closer, yet Godson reacted by pulling back quickly. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t seem to pull his hand back. It was as if there was something blocking his path to go back. Refusing to accept this, he continued to pull, while whatever had his hand increased its strength. Soon, he found his whole arm sucked in, and by then, he had given up. He was completely sucked into the mysterious void. “He’s waking up!” A familiar voice called out. “C’mon, Twilight! Hurry up!” “Huh…?” Godson groggily muttered. “I’m coming! I’m coming!” Another familiar voice said, getting closer as she spoke. “Geez, you don’t have to freak out so much…” “He tried to steal the elements! What do you want me to do?” Upon recognizing the voices, Godson’s eyes immediately shot open. He quickly surveyed his surroundings, and found himself tied up to a chair. He then took a glance to whatever was right in front of him. And found the two beings he’d never thought he’d see again. Staring right at him. “What!?” He shouted. “So, ‘Godson’.” Twilight began. “If that even is your real name.” “What!?” “I have a few questions for you…” “What!?” “First off, how did you know about the Elements?” Twilight raised an eyebrow. “Wha—Ow!” Godson winced in pain. “Answer the question!” Rainbow Dash demanded. “How did I get back here!?” “We’re asking the questions here!” “Both of you, shut up!” Twilight interrupted. “I opened a portal to… wherever it was you live. You went through, as well as two rocks that you threw…” She rubbed the side of her head. “One of them I was able to avoid, but the other…” She shook her head. “Anyway. Upon further analysis, I’ve learned that the portal was actually a one-way trip.” “That… sounds kinda cliché, if you ask me.” Godson commented. “Regardless. I needed to figure out some things from you, considering all your notes had detailed information about us that seemed as if you knew more than you were letting on…” Twilight narrowed her eyes. “Which is why you’re here, now.” “So, you did all that trouble... just to interrogate me?” Godson queried. Twilight nodded in response. “Nice.” Godson nodded. “If I weren’t tied up I’d be giving you a thumbs up, oh well.” Twilight tilted her head. “Err… a ‘thumbs up’?” Godson rolled his eyes. “Nevermind.” Twilight paused for a moment, letting a short wave of awkward silence fill the room. “Right.” She shrugged, breaking the silence. “Back to the matter at hoof. How did you know about the Elements of Harmony before I even mentioned them?” “Seriously?” Godson asked with a chuckle. “All this trouble, and you wanna know how I know about the elements?” He scoffed. “May I remind you, Twilight… You live in a library, at least one of these books is bound to have something related to them.” “But have you read any of them?” Twilight countered. “I don’t remember.” Godson deadpanned. “It’s been months since the last time I’ve been here in Equestria, how do you expect me to remember any books I’ve read since then?” “Hm.” Twilight placed a hoof on her chin. “That’s a valid argument, I suppose.” “So far so good, I think.” Godson thought. “Heh. If Ishtaba were here, things probably would’ve been worse.” “Alright. Then explain this ‘dare’ you were trying to accomplish.” Twilight returned to a more serious tone. “How did ‘your friend’ know about Equestria, if neither of you were ever here until you showed up that very day?” “Uh. I think it’s best I don’t tell you.” Godson shook his head. “And why is that?” Twilight inquired. “Because either you won’t believe me… Or crap will just hit the fan.” Godson shuddered. “Just… trust me. You really don’t wanna know.” “Oh. But I do wanna know.” Twilight smirked. “And if you don’t tell me… then I’ll just cast a truth spell on you…” “Empty threat is empty.” Godson spat. “If that were the case, you would’ve already done it by now.” “Wanna bet?” Twilight asked with a wicked grin, her horn starting to glow. “Go ahea—Ow!” Godson hissed as he was shot with her magic. “Now, I’m gonna ask again.” Twilight sighed. “How did you know about Equestria?” “Do… Do you really want to know…?” Godson replied, struggling to not instantly respond to the question. “You won’t… like the answer you get…” Twilight raised an eyebrow, suddenly both worried and curious of the response she’d get. She looked at Dash, who nodded back at her, then looked back at Godson. “Yeah. I want to know.” Twilight nodded. “Back where I come from…” Godson hissed in pain as he tried to fight against the spell. “We have a source of entertainment… Television. It’s a screen that allows us to see shows and cartoons… They’re basically moving pictures with sounds.” Twilight tilted her head. “And why is this important?” “Because… Equestria… you two… all of it…” Godson groaned. “It’s all… a cartoon…” Now it was Dash’s turn to ask. “And by a cartoon, you mean…” “It’s… fake… in my home…” Godson glanced at the prismatic maned mare. “You… Equestria… all of this… it’s supposed to be fake…” Twilight’s pupils shrank to the size of peanuts. She stood completely still, frozen, trying to process the information she was given. Dash looked at her, then back at Godson. “Nice job. You broke her.” Godson tried to shrug, then he remembered he was still tied up. He then looked at Twilight, who was still frozen. “Uh… Twilight?” Immediately, Twilight shook her head, snapping out of her odd trance. “Right. So, that explains just about everything.” “Well that was easy.” Godson thought. “Just a quick question before I remove the spell.” Twilight took a deep breath. “You don’t plan on pulling any more stupid ‘dares’ like that, do you?” Godson shook his head in response. “Alright then.” Twilight’s horn glowed once more, removing the spell off of him. “You can go.” “...That’s it? I can go back home?” Godson cocked his head. “All this worrying, and that’s it?” He soon found himself able to move his arms and legs, noticing he was now untied. “Right… about the ‘home’ part…” Twilight chuckled nervously. “Remember when I said the portal was only one-way…?” “Yeah, I remem—You’re freaking kidding me…” Godson immediately went wide-eyed. “Of all the most cliché things to happen to me… THIS is the most stupid, most cliché of them all!” He shouted. “Did you even stop to consider that maybe, just maybe, I have a family who’s probably already worrying about me?” “Well, I… Uh…” Twilight stammered. “She did, but I figured if you were capable of doing the things you did while you were here, I figured you didn’t have much family left.” Dash interrupted. “Which is why I’m here. Moral support.” Godson looked at Dash, letting her sentence sink into his head. Once it all sunk in, he spoke. “I knew you hated me, Dash. But I didn’t know you hated me that much…” “What?” Dash went wide-eyed. “I-I don’t hate you!” “Sure.” Godson monotoned, standing up. “I’m outta here. Glad to see you finally realized I wasn’t the ‘bad guy’ you thought I was, Twilight. And I’m sorry for the trouble I caused.” “O-Oh. A-Alright…” Twilight was speechless over his apology, she didn’t expect him say most of what he just said to her. “Apology accepted. And… I’m sorry for… having you trapped in Equestria…” Her ears flopped back. “If you’d like, I can figure out how to sen—” “Don’t bother.” Godson interrupted. “I’ll be fine…” He sniffled. “After a couple of days…” “Oh… Alright…” Twilight muttered, shortly before remembering something. “Oh, before you go. Here.” Suddenly, his phone appeared in midair, hovering towards him. “Huh?” Godson checked his pockets. “Why’d you take my phone?” “Investigative purposes.” Twilight shrugged. “I didn’t find too much on it to be any help.” “Oh, cool. Invasion of privacy. That’s nice.” Godson grumbled to himself. “Alright, I’m out. Adios.” “Wha—” Before Twilight could ask what that last word meant, the door closed behind the semi-pissed boy. “...Alright…” Godson sat on a bench nearby Sugarcube Corner. Trying to figure out what he would do, now being trapped in a semi-familiar world. “Hiya Goddy!” Suddenly, Pinkie Pie invaded his personal space. “GAH CRAP!” Godson jumped out of his bench, landing on the ground behind the bench. “Ohhhh. You alright?” Pinkie asked worriedly. “That was a nasty fall you had there!” “You don’t… say…” Godson groaned, slowly standing back up. “Can you not invade my personal space, Pinkie?” “Nnnnope!” She bounced cheerily. “So, what are you doing back here in Ponyville? It’s not every day I get to see my favorite whoman!” “I thought you hated me for all that crap I did the last time I was here…” Godson thought aloud. “I mean, I can already tell Dash did.” “No, silly! I don’t hate you!” Pinkie giggled. “If I were dared to take over Equestria, I’d probably do it in ten seconds flat!” “No doubt you would.” Godson commented. “So, then… How are things?” “Things are great!” She beamed. “Things have never been better!” “That’s… good?” Godson tried to understand what she was talking about, but he simply shrugged it off, remembering who he was talking to. “Great! So, how did you get back here?” Pinkie asked innocently. Godson simply pointed to Twilight’s library. “Ah, Twilight brought you back. How neat!” “Except I’m stuck here. I can’t go back home.” Godson stated flatly. “That’s okay, Goddy! If you want, I can help you get comfortable here!” Pinkie cheered. Godson glared at Pinkie, unsure if she understood the situation. “Pinkie, do you have a family?” “Of course I do! There’s my mom and dad, my sister Maud, my other two sisters. Everypony has a fam—” Immediately, she understood the situation he was placed in. Her mane and tail ‘popped’, her poofy and curly style now went droopy and flat. “Oh…” Godson reacted quickly. “Oh, nononono! D-Don’t feel bad… I-I can manage…” He sighed. “Besides, as cliché as it sounds. By the time Twilight finds a way back for me, it’ll probably have been a long enough time for me to already be adjusted and living comfortably.” Hearing that, Pinkie quickly cheered up. Her name and tail quickly poofing back up to her normal standards. “That’s great!” She smiled. “If you’d like, I can get you your old job back here in Sugarcube Corner!” “That’s… actually really nice of you, Pinks.” Godson smiled back. “...Thanks.” “No problem!” //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Godson looked at his phone. Which has now been dead for the past three months. Remembering the moments he had in Equestria with it. The notes he wrote during his first trip here. Most of the things that happened at that time didn’t make too much sense for him. Then again, everything was hectic for him towards the end. “I could always take this over to Twilight, and see if she can cast some spell to charge it or something.” He thought. “But there’s not exactly a whole lot I can do with it. Just take pictures and write notes.” He looked at the beautiful world around him, and then back to his phone. “But…maybe pictures aren’t that bad of an idea...” “C’mon, Goddy! We gotta finish this order!” He quickly snapped out of his trance. “Right. Sorry, Pinks!” Godson softly opened the door to Twilight’s Library. Knocking loudly a few times to announce his presence. Twilight looked at him, and smiled warmly. “Hey there, Godson! You’re actually right on time, I’ve been meaning to ask you a few questions…” “Oh.” Godson closed the door behind him. “See, I was just gonna come and see if you could charge my phone like you did the last time I was here. That way I could take pictures and stuff.” “How does such a tiny little thing take pictures?” Twilight tilted her head. Godson grabbed his phone from his pocket, showing off the back of it. “It’s got a small camera built-in.” He chuckled softly. “Ah.” Twilight nodded. “Sure, I can probably cast an electrical spell on it to give it a good charge.” “How did you know that would work the last time, by the way?” Godson asked. “Heh… Lucky guess, actually.” Twilight sheepishly grinned. “So… What did you want to ask me?” Godson queried. “It’s about that ‘cartoon’ you mentioned three months back.” Twilight replied, casting a light electricity spell on his phone. “What about it?” Godson raised an eyebrow. “Well. Uh. How do I put it this way…” Twilight placed a hoof on her chin. “This is just me being curious, by the way, you don’t have to answer it.” She noted, then proceeded to ask her question. “Since you know about all six of us, and you know about most of our adventures… I wanna know…” She cleared her throat. “Sorry, this is kinda weird to ask. But… Who’s your favorite, out of all six of us?” Godson jerked his head back. “Woah, seriously?” “Y-You don’t have to answer it! I was just curious, seeing how you supposedly knew so much about us! And, considering you’ve already been here for three months.” Twilight quickly spoke, trying to make sure he had that in mind before answering the question. “Nah, it’s fine.” Godson said in a reassuring tone. “I just… didn’t expect you to ask a question like that. Uh, right…” He crossed his arms. “To be completely honest, Twilight. Even though she hates me, it’s Rainbow Dash.” “Really?” Twilight cocked her head. “Why?” “Well, she and I are similar in some ways.” Godson began, letting his arms fall back down to his sides. “Like, for starters, she’d never let her friends down. While I’d at least try, and sometimes fail. BUT, the thought still counts!” He looked at a nearby chair, then back to Twilight. “Do you mind if I sit down?” “Not at all.” Twilight shook her head. “Cool, thanks.” Godson sat down, getting a little more comfortable. “Not only that, but… I find her kinda adorable sometimes. I dunno, just… something about her, I guess. I can’t really explain it.” “Huh.” Twilight blinked. “Haven’t heard anypony called Rainbow Dash adorable before.” “Really? Hm, first time for everything. I suppose.” Godson thought aloud. “Well, was that all you wanted to ask?” Twilight nodded in response. “Mhm. That’s about it.” “Alright. Then that’s about it for me.” Godson got up, walking towards the exit. “Thanks, Twilight!” “No problem!” Twilight waved a hoof. And then, the door closed behind him. “Alright, he’s gone. You can come out now.” She called out. She turned around, quickly noticing Pinkie Pie standing in her path. “Gah!” “See, Twilight? I told you he liked Dashie!” Pinkie said, bouncing up and down. “I know Dashie isn’t exactly friends with Goddy, but maybe we can do something to bring them together!” “I don’t know, Pinkie. I mean, Dash told me she doesn’t hate him like he thinks she does. But I’m not sure it’s such a great idea for us to get in the middle.” Twilight shrugged. “Maybe they’ll settle things on their own?” “No way, Twilight!” Pinkie interjected. “Do you know how long that would take? We need to do something!” Twilight groaned. “Fine… I think I have a plan…” Suddenly, there was a knock at Godson’s door. “Coming!” He shouted. He was able to pay for his own home after working a month at Sugercube Corner, during that time, however, he simply bunked with Pinkie Pie. He didn’t exactly enjoy every moment bunking with her, but it was pretty fun for him until he had his own place. He also had Rarity to thank for him having clothes to wear. He opened the door, finding no one behind it. He glanced around outside his door, finding nopony in sight. He took one step outside, and heard the sound of paper being crumpled. He looked down, and noticed there was a note right on his doorstep. He grabbed the note, sweeped any dirt from his shoe. And read it. “Godson, as soon as you read this note, I need you to check something for me at the library. I mean it, get here as soon as you read this. ~Twilight Sparkle” “Alright.” He thought. “Guess I’m heading to Twilight’s.” It was now three months and a week since he arrived. During his walk, he thought about the time he spent here. It sucked. All he did was work, there was barely any free time for him to do anything. “Yeah, maybe seeing what Twilight needs will bring me a little action into my life.” He said internally. “Even if it’s for a few minutes.” Immediately arriving at Twilight’s library, he proceeded to open the door, and knocked, announcing his arrival. Twilight looked back towards him. “Perfect timing!” She cheered. “I need you to keep an eye on the library real quick. I need to go grab something before I explain what’s going on.” “Uh. Alright.” Godson dumbly said, confused over his sudden role over protecting the library. “‘Kay, thanks!” And with that, she ran out the door behind him. Leaving him all to himself. He tried to understand what just happened, but shortly shrugged, figuring it was best not to think too hard about it. He walked up to the bookshelves, looking at what to read while he waited for Twilight to return. He sat down on a nearby chair, flipping through the pages of his book. “Right!” A voice called out, as well as the sound of hoofsteps going down the stairs. “Now, what was it you wanted to show me, Twilight?” Godson looked up from his book, and noticed a certain rainbow maned mare standing at the end of the staircase. “Oh, uh… S-She left. She went to go grab something, uh, I’m not exactly sure.” Dash’s eyes widened. “O-Oh. Alright. Uh, yeah.” She looked toward the door, then back at him. “I’ll just… head out then?” Godson nodded. “Alright, that’s all on you.” Dash turned to the door, grabbed the knob, twisted it, and found herself unable to pull the door. “Huh?” She thought aloud, catching the human’s attention. “I can’t open it!” “Hm?” He hummed, putting the book down. “What do you mean you can’t open it?” “I mean I can’t open it, idiot!” Dash barked. “What else could I possibly mean?!” Godson got up. “I don’t know, that you were probably faking it?” He walked towards the door, gave the knob a good twist, and pulled. And yet, it felt like the door wasn’t even a door, just a wall with a door knob attached to it. “Welp. We’re stuck.” Godson concluded. “Thanks, Captain Obvious.” Dash rolled her eyes. “I’m gonna go check the windows. You do… whatever it is you do.” Godson scoffed. “Fine. I’ll just go back to reading my book.” Dash jumped up, using her wings to fly around the library, checking every window there was. Every single one of them, however, left with the same result. They were unable to be broken. Not even cracked in the slightest. She flew back to the living room, where Godson was already sitting once more, continuing his book. “How could you be reading at a time like this?” She inquired. “We’re trapped in a library, and all you can do is just read books!” “What do you expect me to do?” Godson countered. “If you obviously can’t leave through the windows, then what point is there to worry?” He placed the book down again. “We’re in a friggin’ library, why not read?” “You’re an egghead. You know that, right?” Dash grumbled, landing back down on the ground. “So’s Twilight, but you and her get along pretty well.” Godson nodded. “What is it you have against me, anyway?” “Huh?” Dash cocked her head to the side. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” “You’re trying to avoid me.” Godson narrowed his eyes. “The minute you saw me, you tried to leave.” He stood up. “Seriously, why do you hate me so much?” “I don’t hate you!” Dash shouted. “I just hate the fact that the only thing you came here the first time for was just to steal the Elements and take over Equestria.” “To be fair, Celestia did let me win. It was only supposed to last about ten minutes.” Godson chuckled. “And then you six showed up, and now here we are today.” “Still, how am I supposed to believe that you were dared to take over Equestria?” Dash paused to take a breath. “And by some random idiot on your ‘phone’?” “Hey.” Godson retorted. “He’s not just ‘some random idiot’.” He crossed his arms. “He’s a good friend of mine… With some idiot moments.” He laughed softly. She caught on to his laughter, causing her to giggle a bit as well. “But… doesn’t that make you a villain or something?” “Nah. Do you know how much work that would be?” He shrugged. “Besides, I don’t have what it takes to be a villain.” “So… why’d you do it?” “Honestly?” Godson scratched the back of his head. “I never thought I was gonna be able to do it in the first place” He stood from the chair, getting a little closer to Dash. “I guess it was just that kind of thing you do to tell your friends ‘Ha! I told you I could do it!’” “Yeah, I get ya.” Dash smirked. “I’ve had a few of those moments myself.” “See?” Godson smirked back. “I’m not that bad of a guy.” “Alright. Fair enough.” Dash agreed. “Now it’s my turn; What is it you have against me?” “Huh?” Godson jerked his head back. “I mean, you’re trying so hard to get me to realize you’re not as bad as I thought.” Dash placed a hoof on her chin. “But, anypony else probably would’ve just ignored me for the rest of their life. But you didn’t.” She tilted her head. “Why?” Suddenly, Godson’s eyes widened, he crossed his arms. “Well. It’s… It’s not ‘cause I… like you or anything…” Dash’s pupils immediately shrank. “O-Oh…” She shook her head, her eyes returning to normal. “Y-you mean like… like me?” “No, I mean like you as a friend.” Godson said sarcastically, “Of course I like you like that!” He facepalmed. “Y’know what, just… just forget I said anything…” “Nonononono, wait!” Dash quickly interjected. “C-C’mere…” “No, forget it, it was dumb anyway.” Godson removed his hand from his face, shaking his head. “You only have this one chance.” Dash stated. “C’mere.” Godson sighed, and obeyed. He got closer to Dash, kneeled over, that way they could look at each other face to face. “Just… answer me this…” Dash breathed softly. "W-why me?" Godson took a deep breath, and sighed. "Well, 'cause... Y-you're awesome! You never leave your friends behind, you never back down from a challenge..." He placed a hand on the back of his head. "I can't get over how pretty your mane is, just... Everything about you is adora—" Suddenly, he found his speaking become muffled. He focused his sight, realizing Dash's lips were pressed against his own. As soon as he figured out what was going on, he closed his eyes and kissed her back. The two broke the kiss after a few short minutes, staring at each other's eyes. Dash then took the initiative and practically pounced on him, landing on his back and having her on top. She wrapped her hooves around his back, while he stroked her mane, as well as petting her back every now and then as they made out. Breaking apart just for quick breaths, they never wanted to let go. Eventually, they broke the kiss. "Heh..." They both breathed, almost breathless over their previous actions. "T-that was..." Dash cooed. "Yeah..." Godson smiled sheepishly. "So... Uh... W-what now?" "Well, you and I are here, trapped... Alone..." Dash smirked. "O-oh..." "Got any three's?" Godson asked innocently. "Go fish..." Dash grumbled. Twilight opened the door to her library, and walked in. Thus ending the spell. "Alright guys, I'm ba—" She froze in her tracks. Noticing two sleeping bodies cuddling together on the floor. "What? Did they make up?" Pinkie asked behind her. "It looks to me they did a little more than just make up." Twilight replied. "Lemme see!" Pinkie exclaimed, pushing Twilight out of the way. Seeing the sleeping cuddling duo. "Oooooh." Pinkie smiled. "I bet they made out..." Her expression changed from a smile to a full blown grin. "Welp! Two more satisfied customers! My work here is done!" With that, she bounced her way back home, leaving Twilight with the sleeping bodies. She walked inside, closed the door behind her. And walked closer to them. "They look so cute together..." She whispered to herself. Her horn began to glow as she levitated a blanket to cover them. "I'll let them have their sleep..." Author's Note Meanwhile, in the real world...
