GOOD JOB TWILIGHT !

It was a normal day in Canterlot, the birds were chirping, the flowers were blooming, the weather ponies were keeping the sky clear, the nobles were complaining and their hoof-ponies were planning what to do with the body after having assassinated them, a normal day indeed.

Celestia was sitting next to a table on a balcony overlooking the gardens of Canterlot Castle and was enjoying a cup of her favorite tea while basking in the sunlight and having a pleasant conversation with her faithful student, Twilight Sparkle or as she's called in the Canterlot Library : The Purple Hurricane.

Twilight was in Canterlot at the moment because she decided to spend some time with her family after her trip back from the Crystal Empire. She had the pleasure of announcing to her parents that Shining Armor was the new Crystal Prince and... let's just say that a lot of liquid pride was shed this day.

There was a lull in the conversation and Twilight took the opportunity to speak "Pri-...Celestia, I wanted to ask you something."

" *sigh* Yes Twilight, that IS my real mane, and no, I don't know why it...." replied the Sun Princess, annoyed.

"Huh ? oh, oh nononononono, I just wanted to know if per any chance you knew of a subject that I could research on. You see, I just finished my studies on the sleeping habits of zap apple trees (fascinating !) and I'm at a loss of interesting things to study."

"mmmmmh...you could study weather patterns in the Everfree" Celestia suggested.

"Already did it"

"Oh, huum... astrophysics ?"

"Did it"

"Oceanography ?"

"did it"

"Geology"

"done it"

"Ornithology"

"did it"

"hydraulics"

"did done do'd it"

"Epistemology"

*yawn*

"AND HEMATOLOGY , huh? did you do that !?" Celestia roared.

"...yes..."Twilight replied hiding behind the table that Celestia just flipped. After calming herself and convincing Twilight to stop hiding behind the table they resumed their conversation.

" *sigh* You could always study Pedology..."

"WHAT?!!" Twilight screamed while trying to jump back behind the table only to be suspended in a golden aura.

"Calm down, it's the study of soils." hearing this Twilight visibly relaxed and Celestia let her go.

"And, huh, I already did that too." After saying that Twilight slumped in her chair and so did Celestia. They stayed like this for a few minutes each one lost in their thoughts and trying to come up with a field of study that could have escaped the studious mare's thirst of knowledge.

"I GOT IT !" exclaimed Celestia "you could study The Void, I don't remember anyone studying The Void except Starswirl the Bearded and he didn't get very far in his study before he was arrested for possession of controlled substance (nasty business)."

"Wait, what's The Void ?" Twilight confused by the existence of something she didn't know about, and even more by the fact that she just learned that her idol was arrested for drug possession.

"Well, it's what is between two different universes" Celestia explained.

"Hold on a second ! You mean to tell me that they are different universes ?" Twilight asked not knowing if she should be excited by the new possibilities or angry because she only learned about it now.

"Of course their are, what do they teach you in school these days ?"

"Do I need to remind you that I was going to YOUR school ?" Twilight asked with a neutral face.

"Oh, I really should start looking at what they teach in that school,... what's the name of the school again ?"

If you listen really carefully you could hear the sound of a face-hoof resonate even in Ponyville. Some even say that Canterlot shook briefly because of the groan of frustration that followed.

It's 19h (7 pm) and Celestia is eating in the Dining Room of the castle while Luna is trying not to drown in her bowl of cereal. Three days have past since their little chat and Twilight left Canterlot earlier today because of...a little incident :

WAIT ! What if somepony wants a book from the library but they doesn't find it, what if they want to ask the librarian but I'm not there ? they'll never get their book ! And what if it was important ? what if the entire fate of the world depended on it ? *gasp* I have to go back ! Let me through ! give me your scooter it's an emergency, what no I'm not a thief it's a matter of national security.... Get out of my way ! NO YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME ALIVE ! MUAHAHAHAHA !...

After that, Celestia ordered the guards to stop the chase and repayed for the stolen scooter, the broken windows, the half-eaten ice-cream cones and the hospital bill for that one zebra that was on the way (it wasn't pretty to look at).

While she was eating Princess Celestia was wondering if she made a mistake by proposing to Twilight to study The Void, after all no one knew anything about The Void except Celestia and even she didn't know much about it.

If anyone asked Celestia how she knew about The Void, she would answer that she doesn't remember, the truth is that she remembers it all too well and it involves 3 packs of beer, Discord and a fair amount of teenage rebellion.

"Luna do you think that I made a mistake by letting Twilight mess with The Void ?" Celestia asked between two bites of her diner.

"mnmngmhgnmn..." grumbled Luna who's face was glued to the table.

"Yeah your probably right." All the guards in the room looked at each other with faces that could define the word confusion.

"hgnmhmhngm..." None of the guards could tell if she was awake or not, but apparently Celestia had no such issue.

"Of course, I'm sure she'll take all the precautions possible" Said Celestia before taking a sip of her drink "after all, what's the worst th-..." Celestia stopped herself when she noticed the looks given to her by all of her guards AND her Sister who's eyes were giving her a silent threat of endless suffering and unbearable pain if she ended her sentence.

The battle of stares lasted two whole minutes, two long minutes, probably the longest minutes of the lives of all the beings present in this room, Celestia was even considering making it an official war and writing about it in the History manuals and Luna had already decided that it would be called the Battle Of Eternity.

The Battle of Eternity finally ended as quickly as it began when Celestia said "....thing that could happen ?" It was at this moment that all the guards in the room left in total silence, not one of them made a sound, they all knew what needed to be done.

Celestia didn't know it at the time but, the next day all the guards that had some days off in store used them and left with their family as far of Equestria as possible, and the guards that didn't have any days off resigned.

Luna looked at her sister with a glare so dark that Celestia thought that she saw her eyes turn reptilian for a moment. Then the Night Princess sighed and said with a gloomy voice "I'll be on the moon for the next 6 month, don't search for me."
