Alaru is a dark pegasus colt that tries very hard to impress his father and older brother, but he just isn't old enough and strong enough yet. He's just starting to see the darkness in his father's kingdom, but he's more interested in being recognized by his father. This is a story of his ascension in his household, and in a power he was hardly aware of prior, of death and despair and a small dot of hope.
