Being the most interested in anything that is rocks, Maud Pie has been apart of a pokemon digsite project researching old rock type pokemon that have been extinct for many years. The project, however, has not been going well as the researchers had planned.

Thinking outside the box, Maud had decided to get some help from her sister, Pinkie Pie, and her friends. In addition to their help. Maud also thought it would be a good idea to allow pokemon to assist them in digging as well. The only request the mare wanted was to have an Onix as one of the rented pokemon.

Despite her wish being granted, things don't go her way…
