It was noon in a town in the Badlands, ponies were walking about, minding their own business.
One earth pony, in particular, however, with a black coat and a white roughed up mane and tail, with a blue lightning bolt for a cutie mark, was walking towards a saloon.
When he walked in, however, every pony looked at him and started to laugh at him.
"Excuse me young colt," came an old drunk stallion. "but ain't ya a bit to soft to be here?"
He pushed the old stallion back.
"I'm not nearly as soft as you think I am, so back off and go bother somepony else."
The whole crowd gasped as the pony grabbed a seat, and ordered a drink.
"Just a glass of wine please."
The bartender nervously shook his head and handed him the glass.
"Hey!"
The pony turned his head, only to see a much larger, red pony standing before him.
"You got a lot of nerve picking a fight with our gang!" said the larger pony.
The black and white stallion shrugged and turned back to his drink.
"Do you know who we are!?"
"No, now leave me alone."
His comment caused the larger pony to growl.
"I'm Red Hoof, and my gang is the strongest in the Badlands!"
"Don't care."
He took another sip of his wine.
Red Hoof took a step closer to him, raising up his hoof to punch him.
"I guess you get to experience first hoof why they call me Red Hoof!"
The pony put one hoof on Red Hoof's chest.
"Electric Shock."
Red Hoof found that he couldn't move.
"W-What did you do to me?"
"I injected electricity into your body, now if you want to live, don't bother me while I enjoy my wine."
"N-Nopony tells me what to do!" Red Hoof struggled to move, but to no avail.
"It's no use. I've completely paralyzed your body. Even if you could somehow find the strength to move, it would cause you immense pain.
Red Hoof could only growl.
"Listen, bub! Either you take the beating like a real stallion, or take the easy way out like a big cowa--"
"Burst!"
Suddenly, about a thousand needles made completely out of lightning burst out of Red Hoof's body. He fell over, dead.
"Never call me that word!"
"Y-You beat the boss! What are you?" said the old pony from before.
"Electtrico. Just think of me as your not-so-average pony." he said, walking out of the saloon.
Electtrico was a very serious pony, since the day his parents died. He had always kept his right eye closed since he was five, in order to keep his powers in check.
He had killed any pony who dared insult him, or his dead family.
Since the death of his family, he had always worked towards mastering his abilities over electricity.
"Hey, you!"
He had also gained a passion for fighting.
Electtrico was surrounded by ponies who were itching for a fight.
"Lightning Rain!"
Elettrico shot a bolt of lightning into the air, and it came down as needles, piercing the ponies' flesh. He made sure not to kill them, however.

Electtrico had left the town an hour ago, and was still walking to the train station, beating up a couple ponies along the way.
"Damn... how far away is this train station!?"
Suddenly, his prayers were answered as he saw a train station in the distance, as he made a full gallop for it.
He showed the pony his pass and got on the train.
"This train is headed for Manehattan!" the conductor yelled.
The train started to move as Electtrico started to talk to himself.
"All my life, everypony has seen me as nothing more than a monster, a freak."
Electricity started to crackle around him.
"I-I can't be the only one with these types of abilities, right?"

In a random evil castle somewhere...
A pony was watching Electtrico via magic sphere.
"Indeed you aren't, Electtrico. In fact, you and a few other ponies are the only things standing in my way on my quest to take down the princesses and take Equestria all for myself!
"Master Overlord!" came a random minion.
"What is it Cannon Fodder?"
"We have received word that the train that Electtrico has boarded is headed for Manehattan."
"Excellent."
"Dispatch the killer team number ten. We'll test him first. But just in case, dispatch Kurio along with them. He'll get the job done if they fail."
"Their failure is guaranteed." a voice piped up.
"What makes you say that, Kurio?"
"This is killer team number ten we're talking about here."
"Fair point."
"But I will go with them. I might actually enjoy killing this Electtrico."
"Yes, you will. And once he's out of the way, we will proceed to take down the princesses. First, that damn princess of friendship, then that Cadence, then Celestia and Luna!"
"Sounds like a plan."
"Believe me, it is. And I have total faith in your abilities. His power is nothing compared to yours!"
"While that is true, I can sense that there is another pony in Manehattan with supernatural abilities."
"Then kill him, too."
"All right."
And with that, Kurio hopped out the window.
Overlord smiled.
Heed my words, Electtrico, you will meet your unfortunate end at the hooves of one of my elites. And when you do, there will be nothing standing in my way to conquering Equestria!
He started to laugh maniacally while watching Electtrico get off the train for Manehattan.

Enter Burst Flare! Electtrico vs. Killer Team Number Ten!
Electtrico stepped off the train, taking a big whiff of the fresh air.
"Been awhile since I've been here."
He walked through the city, sightseeing.
He finally decided to go to the place he always hung out in.
However, when he got to the ally he always hung out in, he saw another pony there.
This earth pony had a silver coat with a red mane, and what looked like, at least to Electtrico, a muffin for a cutie mark.
"Hey, name's Electtrico."
"Burst Flare. Why introduce yourself all of a sudden?"
"Well, anypony who hangs around here has to be as bad as I was when I lived here, so I consider you a friend already."
Burst Flare smiled.
But as suddenly as this all happened, it ended with the two being surrounded by ponies, and not very happy looking ones at that.
Electtrico chuckled.
"Why do they always gang up?" asked Electtrico.
"They're weak." stated Burst flare.
"I'll take them all on myself." he said, causing electricity to fill the air.
"You sure about that?" one of the ponies asked.
"Yeah, we're Killer Team Ten, we're stronger than Red Hoof's gang!" another added on.
"But you can't beat... THIS!"
In an instant, Electtrico vanished and reappeared in front of one of the ponies, kicking him through a brick wall.
"Get him!" yelled one of the ponies.
They all dived for him, but to no avail as he swiftly dodged each one.
"Lightning Blade!"
Lightning extended from Electtrico's front right hoof, taking the shape of a sword.
He rushed over and cut one of the ponies on the cheek, electrocuting him.
"Creating solid objects out of lightning? What is he?"
'Another pony with supernatural abilities? I thought I was the only one.' Burst Flare thought to himself.
"Thunder Clap!"
Electtrico encased his front hooves with lightning, and clapped them together, sending it flying everywhere, and hitting most of the enemies.
Key word being most.
The leader still stood there.
And he was pissed.
He charged at Electtrico, catching the black and white stallion by surprise, and hitting him straight in the stomach, and causing him to cough up small amounts of blood.
Electtrico, however, managed to stand his ground and hit him in the head, causing him to stagger backwards.
"Wow, I'm surprised you even landed a hit on me." Electtrico said.
The leader, without warning, charged at Electtrico. However, this time, he was ready for it.
He evaded the attack with ease, and proceeded to counterattack.
"Lightning Slam!"
He encased his hoof in electricity, and prepared to deliver the final blow.
However, as if he was expecting it, the leader dodged the attack, causing it to hit the ground, cracking it in the process.
Electtrico looked up in shock, only to receive a hoof to the face, causing him to fly into a brick wall, breaking it.
Electtrico got up, wincing at the pain.
"My, my, what a powerful punch you got there." he said.
The leader grinned.
"Thank you."
"However, that won't be enough to save you from me."
He opened his right eye for a split second, causing small, but very powerful bolts of electricity to shoot out from his body in all directions.
One of the bolts hit the leader, paralyzing him, and causing him immense pain.
"Your punch may be powerful, but mine is more powerful."
The leader had a look of fear in his eyes.
Electtrico punched the leader in the face, sending him flying through several buildings, causing several ponies to crowd around the the now unconscious and bloody pony.
"Man, that takes a lot out of me, especially making those solid constructs."
Burst Flare grinned at the fighting prowess he had just witnessed from this stallion.
"Hey, you're pretty good. Maybe I could tag along with you from now on."
"I can't allow that." came another voice.
The two looked behind them to see a light brown stallion with a black, slicked back mane.
"And why is that?" Electtrico asked.
"Please, my boss would kill me quite literally if I let two power users such as yourselves team up. You could easily foil our plans."
"Plans?" Burst Flare asked.
"Well, since you're both going to die anyway, I might as well tell you that we are planning to take over Equestria."
"WHAT!?" the duo yelled in shock.
"But now I absolutely have to kill you, seeing as you know too much already."
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Electtrico asked.
"Why, I'm Kurio."
"Kurio?"
"Yes, and we plan to take the princesses down and take over Equestria!"
"Well," Electtrico said. "we can't have that, now can we?"
He got up, slightly wincing at the pain he felt all over his body.
Kurio disappeared and reappeared right in front of Electtrico, kicking him in the face.
"Hey! He's already injured and worn out!"
Kurio shrugged.
"I was told to kill you both by any means necessary, so that's what I intend to do."
"It's scum like you that pisses me off." Burst Flare said, eyes shadowed by his mane.
"Oh? And what are you going to do about it?"
"Hey, I can handle this guy." Electtrico said, getting up.
"No."
Electtrico gave him a confused look.
"You're too weakened to fight. Let me handle him. It's the least I can do for you, the first one to understand me and consider me a friend. The rest of my so-called 'friends' only decided to befriend me out of fear."
Electtrico smiled.
"It seems we have more in common than I originally thought. Just be careful out there, alright?"
"Don't worry, I don't intend to lose."
Kurio decided to speak up.
"Your chances of walking out of here alive are zero percent, you should know."
"I think you have that backwards, nemico."
Kurio started laughing.
"Take a deep breath, because it will be your last!" he said, still laughing.
"Be wary, because with my power, all those who have faced me have never lived to tell the tale!"
And with that, they both charged at each other.
