Chapter 1-Irony

As I awoke in the dusty, dank room, all I could see were the shadows of objects hanging from the jagged ceiling and tapered shaggily across the wall.  I tried to move only to be restrained by the leather straps holding me down, struggling to break free to no avail. I was on top of a metal table, shards of icy coolness working up my back. The table was perched up as if a dissection was about to take place. The only thing I could see in the darkness was a silhouette

That’s when it began to talk.

That Voice.

I had heard this voice before, yet couldn’t remember from where. As if a distant memory was slipping from my grasp and disappearing into the mist of confusion.  It sounded strangely familiar, like I had heard it on a show, however, this sounded raspy and dark. If only I had kept something hidden on myself that I could use to break these straps, then I would be able to know who did this to me. How they did it. Where I was. My thoughts of escape were interfered with by that voice.

“Oh, you think you are so clever do you, HAH! What a laugh. And I should know.” I heard it say.  Once again I tried to struggle out of the bonds that held me, awaiting the adjustment of my eyes to the darkness to see who this person really was. However, I would have no luck this time. At this realization, I began to wait and listen, like a predator stalking its prey in silence, for this person to give away his, or her, identity. Then they would be sorry.

“Finding the signs, finding your way here. However, I am sorry to tell you that you have failed. What a party this has been, awaiting your arrival. I've been sharpening my skills, awaiting you.”

At this point, long lost memories seeped through with the viscosity of molasses. It was not enough to remember what I was trying to

accomplish.

A portal to Equestria.

This sudden memory loss was aggrivating, as strategy after strategy evaded me.

“Oh how long I have waited for this day. To finally have Princeton, one connected with the universe, in my clutches. Oh, this is going to be so much FUN! However, I am an honest Pony. So allow me to provide you with some ‘enlightenment’”.

Wait, did it just say PONY!?

As soon as the pieces were being put together in my mind, the glare from the sudden brightness blinded me. As my eyesight settled, everything was clear. The setting was harsh, showing me a character I could never forget. A character that had begun to haunt my mind a near year ago.

“Look at you. You are simply going to make the most delicious CUPCAKES."
