The sunny schoolyard of Ponyville Elementary bustled with movement as the class was dismissed. Scootaloo pushed through the crowd making her way towards her fellow crusaders. The previous days had been incredibly tough on the young filly. The pressure of her grating schoolwork and trying to find a suitable place to bunker down for the winter was threatening to crush her. But even through all of this she kept a smile on her face. No one could know. They would just pity her. Her pride just couldn’t take that. By now the young pegasus had reached her two friends.
“Hey girls, sorry but I can’t go crusading today or go on the camping trip. Something came up at home,” Scootaloo said putting on a disappointed face.
Apple Bloom quickly glanced to Sweetie Belle and back to Scootaloo, “But Scoots, we’ve been planning this weekend for at least a month. What could be so important that it cancels that out?”
Scootaloo knew that if she told them the real reason she’d be back in an abusive foster home or an even worse orphanage, so naturally she lied, “If you want you can tell them that my cousin’s funeral isn’t as important as the camping trip.”
“Oh Scoots I’m so sorry for your loss,” Sweetie Belle said lunging forwards to hug Scootaloo, and since it was in her nature Scootaloo sidestepped the comforting attack.
Scootaloo stared at the white tangle of legs that was now slowly recuperating from her failed attempt at providing solace, “I didn’t really know her so it doesn’t really affect me. She was a pretty distant pony who barely knew her own family. We barely knew her either.”
Apple Bloom hesitated looking confused, “But she was still family, so she deserves to have you there. Even if she was distant it doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve your company this last time.”
“I’d rather not talk about it, just wanted to give you a reason I wasn’t showing up, see you later,” Scootaloo she said as she turned and walked off. This was the same thing she regretted every day and tried to avoid, lying to her friends. It was worse than stealing from kind hearted people and the bitter winter nights. But she would have to live with her lies or she’d never see any of them ever again.
For about an hour or two the small filly searched the outskirts of Ponyville for a place that she could stay at without being found, seeing as her most recent area was bought by that asshat Filthy Rich. She imagined that her old home would be torn apart and made into another shrine into his piece of trash daughter within a week. And the thing that made her laugh the most is, somehow it would make him even more money. But getting back on track, After an hour or two of searching for some form of shelter she found it, in the form of an abandoned food cellar. It would be cold but it was something. Scootaloo laid down in the farthest corner from the door of that cold, empty, rotten, thing she called a life, erm, I mean home.
The next day was pretty textbook, she made her way towards the school as always and was, as always the first one there. As she sat down in her desk Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon made their normal flashy entrance, but it was a bit after that when things got different.
“Psst, hey blank flank,” Diamond Tiara whispered, “Someone saw you waking home last night. I knew you were poor before but now, wow, I never expected to have this much leverage on you before. I could have you do anything I wanted.”
By this point in the story you can already guess the amount of hatred that has now built up after those few seconds. This, right here, was the moment I decided it wasn’t going to be a normal day.
“So what happened anyway, did your parents leave you? Or did they die?” Silver Spoon asked.
“Do you really need to ask? Obviously they left her, she’s flightless and stupid. She’s completely useless. I bet they beat her too. Or maybe they killed themselves.” Diamond Tiara said waving her hoof matter of factly. Ok I know what they say about how violence is never the answer and how you should let adults handle but right now, Cheerilee was being the ignorant bitch she always was.
“It was a double homicide,” I answered, “and yes they did beat me. Because I am worthless. But the one thing they never expected me to do was grab the knife back from them. They never expected to be on the receiving end of the blade. And you know what? It felt good killing them,” I smiled and looked to them, “Putting that blade that had tortured me for so long into someone else was as Sweetie would call it, therapeutic.”
“Y-you, you’re a murderer. You’re insane.” Diamond Tiara said getting out of her chair and looking around, the class hadn’t even begun and other than Cheerilee, they were the only ones there.
This is supposed to be the moment where I tell you this is just some story I wrote in class. But it’s not. You see in my saddlebags I still kept that knife. And I grabbed it and intended on using it on more than the people in this one room. This moment has been built up to for a long time. I never showed any true emotion or told anyone of even a bit of my struggle. That along with the bullying and just the constant reminder that you’re nothing eventually will lead anyone to snap. They’re just lucky it wasn’t sooner.
I drew my hoof back and slammed it into that little slut’s skull. The sickening crunch that followed was incredibly satisfying. I kicked Diamond Tiara in the ribs once for good measure. Turning around I drew back the knife and sink it into Silver Spoon’s neck, after all, she wasn’t that bad so she deserved a quicker death. The sound of hoof steps alerted me that Cheerilee had finally reacted to the situation. Took her long enough. I spun around and charged at the teacher. She fought back at first and pleaded for her life, but in the end all things die. The cough from across the room brought to my attention that the bitch was still alive. I walked over and kicked her again. I punched her directly in the mouth breaking most of the bones in her jaw leaving her mouth open. I brought the knife to her mouth dragging it across her face. “You were just laughing at my pain? Is this not funny to you? I guess the tables have really turned.” I brought the knife back to her mouth, putting the tip of it inside her mouth pressing it hard enough to draw blood. “Diamond? Do you know what a Glasgow smile is? My parents were going to give me one. That’s what drove me to it. Maybe I should explain it to you. It varies but the most common type is when scars come from the mouth in the shape of a smile. It can happen many different ways. But the one you will be familiar with is the one that includes a psychopath and a knife.” I dragged the knife along her mouth cutting the flesh of her cheek curving it into a smile. “There now no one will think you’re unhappy.” I stood and walked out heading toward the clubhouse that the Crusaders meet at before each school day.
The room was barely recognizable with all the blood. Hm, maybe I should have dialed it down on Apple Bloom. Sweetie Belle had given up rather easily. Hindsight always has a way of doing that to you. Ok when you read this I know you’ll think of me as some abused sob story who went untreated for to long but I just want you to know. It is all your fault. Also whatever you do with this story is really anyone’s care but mine.
The guard were obliviously sent down so I had to move fast, get to Rainbow’s kill her and move on to Filthy Rich, maybe if I’m not dead I can pay the Mayor a visit. The route to Rainbow’s was full of detours and many deaths but eventually I arrived. I called for her and she showed up but not after a brief rumbling and a Soarin staring at me through a window. “Rainbow can you come down here? With Soarin.”
“Sure kid,” as she got closer she noticed the blood, “Oh my god what happened?” Soarin landed next to her.
“Sorry Dash,” I pulled the knife out and sunk it into her ribs, she gasped and toppled, still alive but bleeding out. I turned to Soarin who was staring at me in horror, I grabbed him and went to stab him too but Dash had me by the leg and yanked me down. She wrestled the knife away from me dropping it over my head. Soarin walked over pulling Dash off and taking her place. “Kid no clue what just happened but you better get explaining.” He said
“Why?” Rainbow Dash had questioned. “I was your big sister. Soarin I need you to alert the guards.”
He turned to look at Dash and that gave me the opportunity to grab the knife and thrust it into his eye. Now if you’ve ever heard a stallion scream and cry like that you should just tell me now. I tore it out and turned to Dash. “You gonna cry like that too Dash?”
“What brought this out Scootaloo? This can never be forgiven. You’ll be executed.”
That’s what it had took. The doctors would have said it was the emotional stress that caused the blackout. The rampage. The murders. I ran when I found out. She was right. I would be executed. So I’ll leave this here. My account. From my point of view. This is my declaration of intent you could say.
