Rainbow's Perspective

Around me... I felt hot... I smelled smoke, something was burning., I knew not what however. My body ached, my breathing was slow, and I felt my heart slowly beating... wait...

I was alive?

I must be... if I can still feel and smell... and hear. I groaned lightly, my eyes fluttering open to see up the sky above me. It was stormy, and I saw flames erupting from the crystal castle, massive red billowing flames shooting up into the sky, smoke covering it in a thick cloud cover of blackened smog. Ponies all around me screamed in terror, as Sombra's wicked laugh filled the air, sending shivers down my spine.

"Your champion is now dead!" The unicorn laughed madly, "WHERE IS YOUR SAVIOR NOW!"

I felt tears sting my eyes as I realized what he was talking about, Lee... Lee was...

Dead...

And yet I lived...

"No... no no no..." I whimpered on the ground, turning my head to try and find the human I loved so much. I didn't see him,. all I saw were the undead in the city lumbering about, trying to catch running crystal ponies but failing. Turning my head to my left, I saw a pony lying on the ground next to me, who in the heck was this? I don't remember him falling down with me and Lee...

"HAHAHAHAHA!" Sombra cackled, as thunder struck nearby, followed by a scream.

"Get into formation!" A guard captain cried, as guards in armor ran by me, after the undead hordes.

However, I was too busy being focused on the stallion next to me. His baby blue fur and wings, the black mane and tail and lean body, he looked like a racer, but I also noticed he had scars on his body. By his side, I saw Lee's sword, stuck in the stone as if it had fallen. The stallion was still breathing, I suppose that's a good sign, where did he come from?

"R-Rainbow." The stallion suddenly groaned, eyes opening slowly to reveal a pair of icy blue eyes...

H-how does he know me? Who is he? I tried getting up, but a severe pain in my hind leg made me stop. I hissed in pain, managing to dsit up slowly before looking at my legs, they looked alright... aside from the shard of stone jutting from my hip. "Oh jeez." I grit my teeth, hissing in pain once more as the stallion managed to sit up. I turned to him, asking, "Hey buddy, you alright?"

The stallion nodded his head, muttering, "Yeah... my head hurts like a beeeeeeeatch though." He chuckled, shaking his head before turning to look at me. "You alright?"

I nodded, gesturing to my hindleg. "I'm alright, cept for that." I pointed out.

"Shit, lemme he-" He started to get up, only to fall down flat on his face. "Ow fuck! What the shit?" He yelled in a familar tone, making my eyes slowly widen.

No... no way, he sounds just like Lee... There was no way, Lee... Lee must have just gotten up and wandered off... but if he did, why did he leave me alone with this guy? Did...

Did Lee turn into a pony?

There was no way...

"Oooooo my nose, my beatiful handsome manly man nose, my one defining feature!" He complained, holding it in his hooves as he cursed in Lee's voice and using his weird curses. "My hands feel funny to! What the fuck!" He yelled, opening his eyes once more to look at his hooves... then his eyes grew wide as a strained squeaking noise escaped him. "What. The. Fuck."

"L-Lee...?" I asked, tears leaving my eyes as i looked at him. DId Lee turn into a pony? How!

He turned to look at me, shock and slight fear in his eyes. "R-Rainbow... what happened to me?" He questioned me, fear evident in his tone as he shook.

It is him... nopony else has that kind of voice. I knew Lee's voice well, it may seem silly to some, but his voice was one of a kind. It was smooth, soft, but at the same time, commanding and present when he spoke, powerful like a storm.

But right now, he was scared...

And so was I.

"Lee..." I was overwhelmed that he was alive, but scared... why did he turn into a pony? There was just no way, but here he was... it had to be him. The way he spoke, how he looked at me... those eyes, filled with so much terror...

I wanted to tell him it was okay... but I wasn't so sure if it was...

"Rainbow!" i heard Twilight scream from above, I chanced a look above, spotting Twilight flying down covered in both blood and soot. She landed down on the ground next to me, and I could see she was covered in scratches, her mane was a mess and she looked messed up. The alicorn looked me over, worry etched on her face. "A-are you okay?" She asked me, grappling me me into a hug, minding my leg. "Aside from the obvious, I mean."

I nodded, unable to properly respond as Lee continued to shake. "T-Twilight, Lee..." I tried to say, but the shock of everything was just now setting in.

"Where is Lee?" Twilight asked me, looking around for him, only seeing the pegasus next to me. "Who are you?"

Lee tried to say something, anything, "T-Twilight... help me..." He begged, as an explosion sounded nearby, shaking the ground.

Twilight looked shocked, no doubt realizing the same thing I have. "L-Lee? But... but this isn't possible, who are you, a Changeling!" Twilight demanded, quickly zapping Lee with a spell. i was too slow to stop her, as Lee cried out, cowering on the ground in front of Twilight as his body shook from the spell.

"I'm no-not a changeling!" Lee yelled out, covering his head. "I don't know what happened! Stop!"

Twilight backpedaled as I crawled over to Lee, the human turned pegasus quickly latching onto me and buryinbg his muzzling into my neck. I hesitantly put on arm around him, as Sombra continued his rampage across the city. A quick look into the sky and I saw the princesses flying through the skies towards Sombra, launching spell after spell at the blackened smoke that flew through the skies. Ponies all around us cowered in fear, running for their lives from the undead, and Sombra's attacks.

We were so screwed...

Suddenly, i heard cracks of lightning nearby, followed by thunder striking the ground somewhere in the city. Someone yelled, before more lighting cracked... or was it lightning? It sounded strange, sporadic cracks of something sounded, and more ponies were running away from ther south part of the city as the tower above us burned.

"What the fuck!" I heard someone screamed, before more cracks sounded. "Is this..."

Turning my head, I saw...

I saw...

"Holy shit..."

Perspective Unknown

I wasn't sure what to make of this... one minute I was leading a convoy south of Star City to Warren, where there was a holdout. Then all of a sudden, I'm hit by a truck, and I end up here... at first I didn't believe it, I... I thought I had lost it, finsally lost it after what happened to my world. But here I was, standing in the Crystal Empire, a place that shouldn't technically exist.

"Goddamn, they're here too?" I muttered, running through the streets past crystal ponies that galloped away, they were... bigger then I expected. I growled as I saw several undead trying to climb up after some foals, I aimed my M1 Carbine before firing in rapid sucession, their necks snapping to the side as holes appeared in their heads, bodies falling to the ground as the kids screamed. "Someone get them to safety, now!" I bellowed, sprinting down the street as I holstered my rifle, pulling out my machete before bolting to where I saw the castle.

I needed answers.

Ponies were running all around, along with undead who tried to get to them, thankfully the ponies were either too fast, or just bucked them in the legs before bolting off. I helped as I ran forward, slashing at an undead and lopping its head off before vaulting over a cart, landing on the other side before throwing my machete, watching it impale an undead in the head. I ran over to yank it out before continuing. Eventually I pulled out my pistol, a Beretta 92FS before firing off several rounds at a pair of fat undead clawing their way into a shop, nailing headshots as I arrived at the tower.

However... I saw quite a sight.

"What the fuck! Is this..." I wondered, as I saw Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and some other on the ground in front of me. "Holy shit..."

"A-another human!" Twilight cried, horn flaring up as my mind quickly latched onto what she said.

Another human? "Wait what, what's going!" I questioned, the shock of seeing and actually being in this world had kinda... worn off, I had been here for about a few minutes now, witnessing the empire in such a state was the only real shock. Before Twilight could say anything, I saw one of the undead lurch after her from behind, and in a flash I pulled out one of my hunting knives before gripping the blade, and throwing it right over her head, nailing it in the neck as Twilight yelped, turning to look behind her.

Twilight blasted it with her magic, sending it flying into a wall as I checked my pistol, nine rounds left.

Good. I noted, I had plenty of ammo left, with some spares in my backpack. "What's going on? Why's the city on fire?" I questioned, my eyes glancing over the cityscape before landing on Rainbow Dash and the stallion she was holding onto.

Did she have a boyfriend or something?

Twilight turned to me, giving me a lookover before saying, "Sombra... he did this, he summoned these... these... monsters somehow, and sent them to both your world, and ours." She explained.

I stopped, my jaw dropped as I looked at the princess. "S-Sombra... he... he did..." My eyes turned to look at the undead, no one had any information on these things other then they were not of earth origin. Some kind of strange virus had infected people, and turned them into these things... Sombra... some... fictional character, was at the center of this? "Son of a bitch!"

"I know, but right now we need to stop him!" Twilight told me, sending a glare my way. "Can you help us?"

I didn't need a moment to think, i nodded my head. That bastard did this to my world... and he thought he could do the same here?

Not on my watch.

As I holstered my weapons, and pulled out my Carbine and started to run off to help... Twilight asked, "Wait... can you tell me your name?"

I stopped... turning before giving her a smirk. "Just call me Hunter." I then ran off, intent on killing the undead and protecting who I could.

Rainbow's Perspective

I watched as Hunter ran off, Twilight quickly firing off a spell to let the guards know we had some help. It was a red flare of magic, shot into the sky as a signal, like Lee and his world's flare guns or whatever. I turned to look at Lee, my coltfriend... my human... still breathing heavily, but he was calming down. We couldn't stay on the ground long, we had to get back into this.

"Lee..." I started, holding his face and making him look at me. "Lee... we gotta get back into this fight, we can't just stay here." I told him, wincing from the pain in my hindleg as Twilight came over to me and used some magic to try and fix it.

Lee nodded slowly, slowly starting to shak his head against my chest before pulling himself up. "I... I don't think I'll be much help in this state," he noted, pulling away to try and stand. "I can't use my sword like this..."

I nodded as Twilight used her magic to heal my wounds, as she did so I decided to take a closer look at Lee. He was... really tall, maybe a bit shorter then Big Mac, and was nicely built for a pegasus. He looked... well... pretty handsome for a pony, of course I was used to his human form, but that's not to say I wasn't liking this form. But... was... would he not be able to turn back into a human again?

"Damn it this is so weird." Le complained, walking over to his sword as the doors to the castle burst open, and my friends came running out, along with Lee's guards and Magma. They all rushed over to us, while the other royal and crystal guards joined their brothers in the fight, throwing offensieve spells and spears, while the ones armed with crossbows fired bolts with deadly accuracy.

"Rainbow, are you okay?" Applejack rushed over to me, checking me over as the other girls did the same, all worried no doubt.

"I'm... I'm fine, just a little shaken... Lee... he's... uhh..." I started, only for Lee to butt in.

"HOOVES, WHY YOU NO WORK!" He yelled, trying to yank his sword out of the ground, only to fail horribly as he fell backwards. "Goddamn it!"

Considering just a few seconds ago he was freaking out... he was taking this pretty well.

"Wait a consarn minute... Lee, he... what?" Applejack shook her head, as the others looked just as confused, even freaked out.

I sighed, this was going to take some explaining...

Lyra's Perspective

I don't know how long it had been since... since... these things arrived in the hospital. The doctors and staff could only do their best to protect the sick and injured, but a few of them had fallen, screams sounding before falling silent. It had become a bloodbath, and I had to get out, which I had done. I was outside, and i realized maybe I was safer in my own room, when I saw the streets of the empire filled with these things... everywhere.

My horn burned, and I had no idea why. It felt like there was an intense pressure in my skull, inkling its way up to my horn and making it throb. Ever since the cafe, my body just ached, I felt like I had to release something but I had no idea what! The ponies everywhere just ran and ran, galloping past the mare in hospital fatigues, with bandages covering her body, IE: me. I needed to find Lee, and Rainbow, what if they were hurt, or worse?

One of these things!

Suddenly I heard a scream from nearby, and when I limped closer to the source, I saw a mare trying to keep her foal back form one of the creatures.

"Help! Somepony help us!" She screamed, as the creature lunged forward with a howl.

I don't know what happened to me in that moment, and I probably never would for a long while. But I felt something build up in my horn, my body shook as I felt a rage unlike any other. Sombra was behind this, I knew it was from what Lee told me when he first came to this world so many years ago. He was responsible for almost getting Lee killed. Suddenly, my vision turned gold, as something exploded from my horn, aimed right at the creature.

And I saw it evaporate into dust, disappearing into nothingness as both mother and foal turned to stare at me, their looks one of both horror and gratitude. My horn didn't ache as much now, but it was still there...

Did... did i just use magic?

"T-thank you." The mother cried, grabbing her foal before running off.

I... I just used magic, and not just any, an offensive spell! How did... how did I do that? That doesn't make any sense, I was only able to use basic levitation spells and a light spell, anything other then that was beyond my ability because... of what happened to me.

Another scream sounded, and I wasted no time in limping out to fight, if I had the power...

If I had the ability...

Then I was going to fight back...

For Bonnie.

For Rainbow Dash.

... and for Lee...
