10 years in the future, the Mane Six have each more or less gone their separate ways. But after the residents of Ponyville feel that their concerns over a situation threatening local businesses are ignored by Princess Celestia, a series of events is set in motion which very quickly extend far beyond the Ponyville town limits, events which unexpectedly bring the monarchy--and all of Equestria--to its knees. The dividing lines are promptly drawn among the population of Equestria and between all of the Mane Six, who each must decide what they value most: Their newfound positions of power and influence in Equestria, or their longstanding friendship with each other?
