Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Equestria and Faithful Student to the Sun Regent;

It is most unfortunate that your friend could not join you for such a harrowing mission. Rest assured; we shall deploy the Guard to follow you and your other friends closely, should immediate extraction be necessary. Though this foe is not of an ilk that we have dealt with before, the forces at work are not to be underestimated. Perhaps we’ve become complacent with having a prophecy handy for every threat up until now, my Faithful Student? I’m starting to feel outside my comfort zone already!

The necessary treatments, as well as the ones made on request, are being paid in full out of my pocket. Let it be said that Ms. Dash does notbruise for cheap! Though, to her merit, this is far from a typical bruise. By all accounts, she should have been crippled for life after that spill. Allow me to speak frankly: I doubt her wounds are merely physical. She suffered a painful, visceral thing, and her state of mind is not well. I am not comfortable with this arrangement, but the threat that this witch poses can’t be ignored. I pray you can ‘neutralize’ her before long, so Ms. Dash doesn’t slip further.

To be robbed of one’s wings, as it were, must double the anguish she feels at the moment. That potion, while potent, demands much from the patient. Hopefully she won’t get herself into a fine mess while we’re not looking.

I do not mean to stir unease, my Student. These are honest words, intended as an act of love. I know you worry about all your friends, and mincing words when you’ve come so far felt like an insult.

My Sister continues to monitor her. It’s amazing how closely you can follow a pony through the split-second lapses of consciousness. Luna shall displace herself to Rainbow Dash’s side, should she find herself in danger.

Speaking of consciousness: apparently an old friend of yours was found near the castle walls, having fainted. I suppose it’s fortunate that it wasn’t so serious that more than that tidbit had to reach my ears. Perish the thought that I made my day too hot!
