The mane six are in twilight's castle when all of a sudden, a message from the princess arrives. "Twilight!" Yells Spike. Twilight teleports downstairs "Yes, Spike?" she asks "Message from the princess." Says Spike. "Thank you spike" replies the alicorn and she starts to read it. She becomes nervous. "Everypony come here" she calls. The rest of the mane six arrive. "What is it?" they ask.
"The princess just sent me a message and it doesn't look good" Twilight responds. "Read it." She says. They gather around
Dear Princess Twilight,
The old mansion that we've been searching for has been found in the everfree forest, each month somepony goes in there but never comes out. I believe somepony or something is in there with them I want you and your friends to go in there along with spike since he can breathe fire and big macintosh since he's very strong and both can protect you and your friends

After they were done reading they all looked worried even pinkie pie. "We have to go ya'll, the princess told us to. Besides whatever is in there can't be that bad........right?" Said Applejack. "I don't know but we have to go" said Twilight. "Alright" they said uneasily. Twilight summoned big Mac to them and explained to him the situation. "Alright I'll go if the princess really needs us to. He said. "Do we need to? I might never see you ever again!" Said Spike. "We'll be fine" Twilight reassured him. "Is everyone ready she asked?" "Yes" they all said "then let's go" Twilight said and they were teleported to the mansion.
Chapter 3 missing ponies found
They began their search in the west/left hall and saw a tainted glass door. "Spike, do you think one of them is in there?" Asked Twilight. "Only one way to find ou---WHOA! Suddenly a giant shadow passed by the inside of the room. "Twilight, did you see that?" Asked Spike. "Yes" Says Twilight. "But it was too big to be one of them." "Let's go upstairs." Said Spike, blood running cold.
"Good idea." Said Twilight.
MEANWHILE
Pinkie and Applejack were both in a closet upstairs shivering like leaves. "W-w-what was that?" Asked Pinkie pie trying her best not to freak out. Applejack couldn't respond, she couldn't do anything but just stare in terror. Suddenly they heard a door open, the door to the room they were hiding in! Pinkie saw her life flash before her eyes, but when it got to the part where she saw that....... thing, she jumped a little bit but enough to make the closet move. After realizing her mistake, Pinkie knew it was too late and started to say her final prayers as the footsteps got closer. Applejack at this point had blacked out. Then, the closet doors open and all Pinkie could do was watch and wait for the inevitable.
"Pinkie! Applejack!" Said the figure. Pinkie opened her eyes and could not believe what she saw. It was Twilight and Spike. Pinkie started to cry out of relief and joy knowing she wasn't going to die and that her friend was still alive. "Pinkie! Are you alright?!" Asked Twilight concerned for her friend. "I'll just so you're happy your alive. Sobbed Pinkie. And that you weren't that monster!" At this the pony and dragon's mouth dropped and both went pale. "The rumors are true than." Said Twilight grimly. "What rumors?" Asked Spike. "There IS a monster here. Said Twilight. And it will stop at nothing to kill us.
Chapter 2 where are they?
They appear in front of the mansion. They gaze in awe at it's immense size. "We'll let's go inside" said Twilight. "Uh-huh" said Rainbow dash, clearly scared "I feel cold" said pinkie pie "I think it's a new pinkie sense", "and it's telling me that.......something terrifying is in there" she says pointing to the mansion with her hoof "let's go in" said Bic mac trying to sound brave and they go inside the mansion and gaze around. "Well at least it looks nice inside." Commented Rarity. CRASH! Something shatters in the other room, "EEEEEK"! Fluttershy hides behind Big Mac shivering like a mad man "WHAT WAS THAT!?!!!" Yells Rarity "I-I'm pretty sure I-It was
n-nothing said Twilight with her teeth chattering. "I'll go check it out" and she starts to trot off. "WAIT!" Shouts Spike and runs up to her side "I'm coming with you" he says. "Are you sure?" She asks. "Yes" Says Spike "Alright then, let's go" Says Twilight. They head down the hallway and enter a room.
MEANWHILE WITH EVERYONE ELSE
"What do we do while we wait" Pinkie asked, a little more cheerful now. While Pinkie was talking, Fluttershy looked down another hallway and saw something running towards them. "Um guys?" She called. They looked at her, "what's THAT! And pointed and the thing running at them.
BACK TO TWILIGHT AND SPIKE
"It's just a broken plate" Says Twilight. "Yeah but who dropped it?" Says Spike "it's in the middle of the room, no way it could've fallen on it's own." "Well, let's go back and tell them it was just a broken plate." Says Twilight, while walking back, they don't see they're friends "Um Guys?" Calls Spike. "Spike,look!" Twilight says catching his attention and points to giant markings. "Do you recognize those..........hoofprints??" Asks Twilight. "No, I don't." Says Spike. "Do you?" Twilight shakes her head. "Think they went outside?" They trotted/walked up to the door and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge no matter how much they would push or pull. "They wouldn't lock us in.....would they" asked Spike. "No they're our friends." Said Twilight. "I'll check upstairs and you check downstairs." "No!" Yells Spike. "Princess Celestia told us to go in pairs." "You're right Spike, let's go" said Twilight. "But come to think of it we should check downstairs, just in case."
