Loki is back. The world without a moon.View OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidLoki is back. The world without a moon."Look I said I was sorry." A magic blast went right past the cloaked being. "Loki, it's kinda pointless, everyone is evil in this universe," Discord, in astral form, said as he appeared next to him. "I mean seriously you can sense the magic of this universe." Next was an Anthro version of Twilight also in astral form. "Yeah well excuse me!" Loki said as he dodged another blast from the evil Celestia as she attempted to blast him. "Sorry sonny, but I don't have time for this." As the blast came Loki grabbed it in his talons and with a flick sent it back at her. The blast struck the evil Celestia and she crumpled to the ground. "Why did you even bother coming to this universe?" the anthro Twilight projection asked. "Because I was in the mood for some conversation other than the two of you," Loki answered as he dodged a blast from the evil Luna. "Yes, and how is that working for us?" the projection of Discord asked. "I get it, I goofed up on coming here. So what's the ETA on us leaving?" Loki asked. "Oh, we've been ready for about five seconds now." Loki's expression went blank for a second as he snapped his talons and flashed out of existence just as the evil Rainbow Dash went in for a flying tackle. Back in the void Loki was glaring at the two projections floating in front of him. "Come on Loki, where's that smile?" Discord asked. Loki glared harder. "I told you both to tell me the moment I could leave, what part of that did you... screw it," Loki said waving his talons at them both. He looked out and started to float away. "Oh come on, you'll find your way home... eventually," the anthro Twilight projection said. Loki grabbed his chest again. "Not again." Ever since he had became a Void Dweller his chest had hurt and his powers had been flaring up. "Everyone hang on..." Discord said as Loki's powers flared up again and he was sent flying through the void at random passing a few dwellers. Finally he felt himself smash into something. Sand. Lots of sand. "Where are we? Please don't tell me I'm at the beach," Loki groaned. "No it seems to be a desert... and the sun is out... and not moving," Discord said. Loki got up and went to try to sense. He could feel that this was Equestria. "Great... the sun is up on one side of the planet and the moon... where is the moon?" Loki tried to sense the presence of the moon with his magic but couldn't seem to find anything. "Uhh guys, I can't seem to find the moon," Loki stated nervously. "What do you think that means?" the Twilight projection asked. "It could mean a number of things," Discord answered. "Our magic could be on the fritz after that flare. Or, there is no moon on this Equestria, for one reason or another." "Well, that's certainly awful. Do you think we should find somebody to tell us about this world and help out this Equestria?" "What's the point?" the Twilight projection asked. "If these ponies were stupid enough to blow up their moon I don't see why we should even try to help them. Don't you want to get back to your home quickly?" "Well, I don't see why we can't help," Discord chimed in. "We do have a literal eternity to get back to our original Equestria after all." Loki decided to figure out why the moon was gone. "Discord has a point, we technically do have all the time we need, besides I want to know why." Loki said. He summoned up what magic he could to locate the nearest settlement. Turns out it was under his feet, Literally. "Great they are underground, wouldn't blame them," Loki said. He attempted to teleport but his magic flared again and he found he couldn't. 'Okay that's just...' He smashed the ground in frustration. The impact caused the sand under him to be compressed like it was hit with a mountain. As you could guess it soon sank into the area under him. "Oh just my fu..." He was consumed by the sand itself into a long winding tunnel network. After about a few hours, or days Loki started to hear voices. "Do you think the sun tyrant caused this?" A mare asked as Loki felt himself being dug out. "I don't know, the priest said that a strange power entered the world." After a few more minutes the ponies managed to free Loki's face and regarded him with a strange expression. "Who, or rather what, are you?" the mare, who turned out to be this reality's Lyra, asked. Loki shook his head looked at the two ponies and attempted to wiggle free. "My name is Loki and I'm... a keeper of balance of sorts." "Why didn't you call yourself a god?" anthro Twilight asked in his head. 'Because I'd rather avoid any potential worship... or attempted burning at the stake as a heretic. They did mention something about a priest after all.' "What do you mean by a keeper of balance?" the stallion, who was this world's Soarin, asked. "Well. I travel around and settle disputes and things like that using my various skills," Loki answered before looking down at his still trapped body. "Now, would you kindly dig up the rest of my body? My nose itches and I can't scratch it while I'm like this." Once dug out Loki scratched his nose and went with the two to the unground home. What they saw was many of the world's species, ponies, diamond dogs, changelings, and even a dragon or two. The strange appearance of Loki with the two ponies caused some to look with suspicion and some with awe at the strange being. "So mind me asking, why are you all underground? Matter of fact why do you not have a moon?" Loki asked. The two looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Why are you asking? Shouldn't you know about the Solar ruin?" Lyra asked. "Loki, quick make up a excuse, one that's actually possible!" Discord screamed back. Loki thought for a moment. "I have been... on my own my whole life, so I have no idea." Lyra and Soarin exchanged a look for a moment then shrugged. "Long before any of us were born this used to be a land of peace and harmony. There were two princesses that controlled the sun and the moon," Soarin started. "The country they ran was called Equestria and the two seemed to get along very well," Lyra continued. "But, it wasn't meant to last. The princess that controlled the sun fought the other and eventually the princess of the moon was killed." "After killing the lunar princess, the solar princess, now known as the solar tyrant, destroyed the moon and created eternal day. This drove everyone in the world underground to escape the heat. At least, those of our ancestors that survived," Soarin finished as he stared at the ground. 'Wow, this is even worse than I thought.' "And it looks like we have to deal with an evil Celestia again," Discord stated. Loki sighed at this. 'I hate you too Irony,' Loki said to himself. "So do any of you know where the Solar Tyrant is?" Loki asked. The two looked at each other then Loki. "Only the priests know, they say that to go there is suicide," Lyra said. Loki however rolled his eyes and looked for Celestia's magic signature. As he did, he found her. Her magic was around the level of Discord. 'How could she be that powerful? Unless she ate her sister's magic...' Loki thought. He checked to see how badly his powers were in flux. It wasn't so bad, they would at around the same level. "Well then, I can say we could take her out," Discord commented. 'True, but do you think we could keep her talking long enough for our magic to get back to normal?' Loki asked. "I doubt it, what are the chances you could keep a powerful dictator distracted with a long winded speech?" anthro Twilight asked. If it were possible Loki and Discord would've exchanged a deadpan look. 'Yeah, I guess you make a good point,' Loki thought sarcastically as he rolled his eyes before looking toward Lyra and Soarin. "Well, it was nice meeting you crazy kids. Good luck with everything and thanks for digging me up and all that. But, I just realized that I have some important business to attend to." "What are you..." Before Lyra could finish the question Loki snapped his talons and was gone in a flash of light. Loki reappeared over the wasteland and smirked as he planned on how to get evil Celestia to come to him. 'Hey Discord, wanna see me get Celestia's attention instantly?' Discord chuckled at that. "Go for it." Loki snapped his talons and a ridiculously sized megaphone appeared in his talon and paw. He then switched it on and placed his mouth near it and shouted, "THE SUN TYRANT CELESTIA HAS THE FATTEST, SAGGIEST FLANKS ON THE PLANET!" Loki waited for a few moments Discord decided to make a bet. "Twenty bits she comes in a hour," Discord said to them both. "Sixty, two hours," anthro Twilight countered. "One hundred right now." Loki offered with a smile. As soon as he said that a streak of fire had landed next to them. It was the sun tyrant herself, her mane literally on fire and the ground burning under her hooves. "Crap... give us some time to get the bits," Discord begged. Loki rolled his eyes as he basically did that for fun. 'Discord, you're both technically me so I was betting myself,' Loki answered. "Very true. Still, she looks mad," Discord stated. "Can you blame her after what Loki just said?" anthro Twilight asked. 'Quiet you two,' Loki said to shush them. 'I think Sunbutt is about to go on a tirade.' "Who dares to insult the very ruler of the sun itself?!" she screeched as her mane flared up slightly. "I have no idea," Loki replied with a grin as he threw his large megaphone over his shoulder, said megaphone exploding into glitter and confetti once it hit the ground. "Someone would have to be an idiot or have a death wish to say something about your oversized tush." Evil Celestia's face twitched as she attempted to bore holes into Loki through sheer anger and hatred. "And just what in the world are you supposed to be? Oh wait, I know," she said as she lit up her horn. "A pile of ash." "No I'm Loki and..." The blast of flames soon covered the area that Loki was standing. When it settled nothing was there but glass. However, before Celestia could go, water was splashed all over her. Loki was floating with a bucket in his hands. "No, bad insanely evil alicorn, you do not attack someone when they tell you their name!" Loki said, as though addressing a bad dog. Celestia glared in anger asher eyes twitch. "You're a Draconequus, aren't you?" Loki removed his hood, revealing his head and face. "Why yes, I'm Loki, god of Balance." The evil Celestia smirked and chuckled darkly at that. "A god you say? Well what brings a deity to my kingdom?" "Well, I heard some stories from a few locals, and I must say I didn't like what I heard. So, I'm here to end your corrupt reign and bring balance to this world." The evil Celestia let out a long, maniacal laugh at those words. "Well aren't you just full of bravado. But I should tell you, everything burns once they approach the sun," she said with a dark smile as she lit up her horn once more. "Yeah, about that." Loki readied his magic - on his talons the power of Chaos and in his paw the rainbow of Harmony. "Better ponies then you have tried, and one of them literally wasn't a pony." Celestia let out a burst of heat from the sun and Loki let out a blast of balanced Chaos/Harmony magic causing the two to meet in a standoff. However Loki could feel his magic swinging between that of a normal alicorn and his dweller level of magic. This caused his beam to push and get pulled back by his magic. 'Crap, why now! This isn't fun you know!' Loki screamed in his mind. The blast he let out then stopped as his magic went zero for a split second. 'Motherfu-' Loki was blasted with a literal Solar Flare. The evil Celestia smirked as she looked over the glassed over area of the wasteland where Loki seemed to be burnt to a crisp. "Hmm, it seems all your bravado and blustering about ending my reign was all a bluff. A pity really, crushing the pockets of resistance in this world is some of the most fun I have." Loki's talon then shot out and was pointed straight at her heart. "You're going to have to get your entertainment somewhere else after this," Loki growled as he shot her with as much magic as he could muster at the moment. At that moment his magic flared up to the level he had during his fight at the end of his universe. The blast caused a massive explosion to befall the continent. However the sun up above soon was torn apart, as the connection it had with Celestia caused the massive amounts of magic to flow through it, turning it to dust. When Loki looked up, the sun was gone. "Oh just fucking great!" He power finally stabilized back to its normal levels. "I have to replace it now," he said, Celestia was dead, that much he knew, so using his powers he looked out and found a star with no planets and teleported it to replace the missing sun, he also pulled out a new moon, though it was smaller it would do. Loki looked over his handiwork and let out a little sigh. 'Well, as far as first official acts as a dimension hopping god of balance go, I think we can file this under the success section.' "Okay, so what happens now?" anthro Twilight asked. "Well, with a proper day and night cycle restored the climate should start to balance out within a few generations, hopefully," Discord answered. 'Yeah, we should head back to that settlement and tell them about the sun tyrant's death. And we should tell them to repair the environment and all that jazz.' "How do you think they'll take the news about Celestia's death?" Discord asked. 'I dunno, but as long as our magic doesn't act up I'm sure we'll be fine if things go south.' The inhabitants came back out slowly to see the light of a yellow moon. Many fell down in praise at the return of the night. As for Loki, he opened up a portal to the void and went back out to flying though it. However the pain soon flared up. His magic wasn't going completely haywire but the pain wouldn't stop. 'Twilight? Discord are you there?' Loki thought. A new voice was heard with the three. "Set. Me. Free!" This voice caused the three to hold their heads in great pain. "What's going on!?" Loki demanded! With a tug he flew right through and into a universe, one where life didn't exist. Loki started to glow. "What's going on.... Ahhhh!" With that his magic flared out exploding all around him. The stars, the atoms, and even this whole universe he was in cried out as the cloak glowed along with him, his energy ripping the forces of this reality into pieces and back. Finally in the void a flash of a universe dying was seen as a slowly cooling figure was seen being tossed from the dead corpse. Loki went flying out into another reality. 'I feel weak...' Indeed whatever happened had drained him completely. "What in the name of chaos just happened?" Discord asked. 'I have no idea, but it seemed like it was more than just a magic flare,' Loki replied. "I think you may be right," anthro Twilight agreed. 'Are we able to return to the void yet?" Loki snapped his talons only for a pitiful fizz of magic to appear. 'No, looks like we might have to catch our breath until our magic settles again. It really is a good thing we have eternity to get home otherwise I'd be really pissed about all these setbacks.' "Same here," Discord agreed. However in the corpse of the dead universe something was there, something alive. in the protection of a cloak like Loki's and the one that displaced him a body was being formed. At last an eye opened up and a single phrase was heard. "I am Imbalance."
In a Wastleland...View OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidIn a Wastleland...Loki flew down and soon crashed right into a moon, the cloak covering him as he landed. He picked himself up off the moon and attempted to summon his magic. It was weak. Right now he didn't think he could do much. "Great I'm stuck in this universe now." Catching sight of the planet below, he blinked, wide eyed. Equestria and the planet looked almost like a desert. "What in the world..." Loki sensed something then had a realization. "Do you both feel that..." Discord appeared next to him. "Yes, it feels like we are standing on Luna," Discord answered. Anthro Twilight’s astral form tapped on moon. "Because it is. Luna’s powers and essence are infused in this moon." 'So we could be in an Equestria that still has Luna sealed as Nightmare Moon. Or this could be yet another Equestria with an evil Celestia, which would probably mean I have the worst luck of all time.' "Considering you've died twice while being a god, I would've thought that would be a given," Anthro Twilight snarked. 'You make a good point,' Loki thought with a sigh. 'So, should I even bother to check out what's down there, or should I just wait until I get my magic back and move on?' "Well, maybe you could leave it up to chance, for old time's sake?" Discord suggested. Loki summoned up a coin. "Heads I go to the planet, Tails I stay and wait." Loki flipped the coin into the air, caught it with his talons, and smacked it on his paw. "Heads, looks like we're going down there." Loki floated up as he flew to the planet. As he started to enter the atmosphere, a strange feeling tingled at the back of his mind. "Does anyone else feel like something is decaying in the atmosphere?" Loki asked. Discord soon commented. "Yes, I think this is like the waste of uranium... oh my, Loki I think this Equestria suffered... what was it... nuclear fallout, in some way." As he flew over he saw craters where bombs had landed, and some of the life seemed to have been mutated, another sign of nuclear fallout. Loki landed in what was once the middle of the Everfree Forest. The trees were dead and burned and mostly desert was all around. 'What the hell happened here?' Loki asked as looked around at the devastation. "It's hard to say," Discord stated. "If we had all of our magic then we'd be able to roll back time to when this all happened." 'Yeah, do you think we'll run into anyone that can explain all this?' "Who knows, this place looks dead but there might be someone somewhere." Loki set off and attempted to find anything that even remotely looked like intelligent life. As they floated around, taking in the sights, he frowned a little. 'Hmm, something seems a little off here.' "What are you talking about?" Anthro Twilight asked. 'I dunno, something about this just seems vaguely familiar that's all. I can't put my claw on it though.' A shot soon zipped by Loki's head. "What the hell!" Loki demanded. Another shot flew by. "Ok enough!" Loki formed a shield around himself, blocking the shots. Standing out there wearing a power armor suit was a human. 'A humanized Equestria?' Discord commented. "Men, kill the abomination now!" Appearing with him was a team of other humans, all shooting at the barrier. "Abomination? Well excuse me!" Loki used his magic to levitate the guns out their hands. "It has magic!" "Hold up there fellas, no one's gonna kill anybody," Loki said with a bit of a frown as he used his magic to level all of their guns back at them. "I just want some answers. Also, do you know how rude it is to call someone you just met an abomination?" "What kind of questions do you want us to answer?" the man that seemed to be the leader asked. "Let's start with some basic history. Like, why is this place a nuked out hellhole?" The one who had the shotgun stepped up. "According to history there was a great war between The Equestrian Kingdoms, The Zebra Empire, and The Centaur Alliance, it lasted about 34 minutes, and this was the result." Loki then remembered why this looked so familiar to him. 'Fallout? This whole planet is basically Fallout games forced into Equestria,' Loki said to himself. "So what happened to Celestia and Luna?" Discord asked. The soldiers looked confused at the transparent entity right next to Loki. "You mean the things in the sky?" one of them asked. "The things in the sky? Sounds like if Celestia and Luna were actual people in this world then they've been gone for quite some time," Discord said. 'Yeah, and this world is gonna need a lot of work if it's ever going to be on the road to being in balance.' "So I'm guessing that the three sides destroyed each other in this war. Am I right?" Loki asked. "Yes, but how do you not know all this, stranger? Even children know this story." "Let's just say I'm not from around here and leave it at that." "Like what? Are you from another dimension? Like those things?" the smaller one asked. Loki decided to just nod under his cloak. "That about sums it up. I take it some things slipped through into this dimension soon afterwards?" Loki asked. "Yes, mostly blob like things. The shining bombs are said to have ripped open into three dimensions sending some back, most died in our world over not so much." Loki tossed them back their guns. "Where the closest settlement?" Loki asked. "New Canterlot is up north." "Well, lead the way then," Loki said as he gestured with his paw. The group of humans checked their weapons and took a formation before leading the way. 'So you two, what do you think we should do to try and restore balance?’ "I really don't care," Anthro Twilight said. "I still find our work to be pointless in the long run." 'Okay Miss Nihilist, I won't ask you anymore. So, Discord, any ideas?' "Hmm... well, the first thing we'll have to do is to deal with all of the radioactivity." ‘I was thinking the same thing, but should we just snap our talons and be done with it, or find a wacky over-the-top way to do it?' "Over-the-top, definitely," Discord answered. "OK then." Loki answered back. As the group walked along the path a few shots could be heard. "Tribals! Everyone get down!" Mutant-like beings were soon seen above them, shooting with guns and magic. Loki could feel the magic coming off them, and it wasn't right in any sense of the word. It was almost as if their magic was pulled inside out. "Everyone move, I got this," Loki announced as he raised up his talon and paw, firing miniature rainbow blasts of harmonic energy at them. The Tribals mostly dodged, but the few that got hit turned to stone slowly before the stone broke revealing unmutated versions of themselves. 'What? Did that seriously just happen?' Loki asked. The Tribals started to run with a strange sense of fear for what Loki had done. "Loki, I don't like this," Discord warned. "Something about this doesn't seem natural, even taking into account all of the radiation." 'Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Something has been bothering me ever since that last flare.' "Then we'd best be on guard until our magic is fully back," Anthro Twilight added. "But first we should examine those things we just used our magic on to see if we can figure out anything." Loki nodded at that and walked up to the unmutated Tribals and waved a glowing paw over them. The results caused Loki to go wide eyed. It was Chaos magic. However this Chaos magic was wrong in many ways. 'Discord, do you think the radiation is some kind of decayed Chaos magic?' Loki asked. Discord appeared next to him. "It might just be. Actually, try to sense my counterpart on the planet." Loki closed his eyes and looked for the current universe's Discord's life signature. Loki's eyes widened. Discord, the Discord of this universe.... was everywhere! The radiation was him! "Oh good god... How could this even happen?" Loki asked himself. Anthro Twilight appeared next to him. "Let's see, perhaps instead of keeping Discord as a statue the princesses smashed it, unaware of the effects, and years later his stone body was turned into the world-ending bombs.... the effect causing dimensions to temporarily rip open and banishing the princesses to their respective celestial objects." 'Okay, this is crazy,' Loki thought with a grimace. "Not to mention it'll make dealing with the problems here just a bit more difficult," Anthro Twilight said. "Very true," Discord said. "Still, destroying my statue, I can't imagine what I did in this universe to cause Celestia and Luna to take such drastic measures to ensure I didn't return." 'Who knows, but we don't have time to... time. Maybe we should just go back in time and warn Celestia and Luna about destroying the statue and prevent all this?' "Wouldn't that cause some unimaginable consequences on the timeline of this universe?" Anthro Twilight pointed out. 'Eh, as long as it brings balance to this universe it's best not to overthink the potential moral problems with preventing and causing certain births. As powerful as we are now, we aren't omniscient.' "Loki, we have arrived at New Canterlot," the leader of the armored group said. Once they got there Loki could see it was built below the city of old Canterlot. As Loki was about to enter, a few guards came up. "Stop right there! Mind telling me who this cloaked figure is?" Loki decided to pull down the hood, revealing his otherworldly (by this universe's standards) face. "I am Loki, I'm a traveler from another dimension. A spirit of balance. I've been wondering about this planet, as I was under the impression it wasn't, well, fallout," Loki said calmly. The guard was tense but wasn't shooting him. "So you're from another dimension, eh? It's quite a surprise for something from another dimension to not be a blob." "Well, I'm certainly glad that I'm not a blob," Loki replied with a smile. "Hmm, just be sure to hand over any of your weapons while we keep you under watch," the guard at the gate requested with an outstretched hand. "Eh, sorry but I don't have any weapons on me. At least not any that you could take from me," Loki admitted with a weak chuckle. "We'll be sure to keep an even closer eye on you then." The guard turned around and pounded out a pattern on the gate which caused it to slowly creak open. "All this talk about blobs is making me miss my old friend Smooze," Discord said with a sigh. 'Wait, you actually had a friend!?' Loki asked. "Well, I have a hard time remembering, and The Smooze wasn't your traditional kind of friend," Discord started. Loki shrugged it off as they walked into the city. Loki looked around and heard a conversation. "I couldn't find any food this run," a lady was saying to an armed man. "Well, we'll have to extend the rations a bit more." Loki however stepped up. "I don't think that will be a issue." With a snap Loki used his magic to summon up a few pink clouds, and with a hit they started raining food from apples and vegetables and even a bit of candy and chocolate. Loki summoned up a few refrigerators and they quickly got filled up. When it was done, Loki had a straw hat on and a piece of wheat in his mouth. "Well that's that," Loki said with a smile. The people looked surprised. One of the guards came up to him. "How did you do that? Was that magic? I seen magic users of great power but you... Are you a god?" he asked, thinking that was the only reason for Loki doing what he did. "Uhh, I suppose it all depends on who you ask," Loki said as he absentmindedly scratched his cheek. "Is creating food the only thing you can do? We have quite a few sick people that need to be healed," the guard asked, pointing toward one of the larger buildings. "Umm, I might be able to do something. I can't make any real promises though. Traveling between universes causes my powers to fluctuate for a while." "We only ask that you try," the guard said as he started to lead him to what Loki presumed to be the infirmary. Loki craned his neck to see all the sights of New Canterlot and frowned a little at what he was seeing. Much like the Fallout games, the buildings were piecemeal creations made out of metal that was a breeding ground for tetanus. What wasn't thrown together was just a broken down remnant of a long dead society. The people's clothing were much like the buildings themselves. All in all, Loki couldn't wait until his powers were back so that he could fix this depressing world.
... Your Biggest Enemy is Yourself.View OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the Void... Your Biggest Enemy is Yourself.Loki looked at one of the sick. This one was suffering from both poison and an allergic reaction. Waving his hands over them, he channeled his powers to remove the poison and the effects of the allergies over the body. This one was not as bad as some of them. Others were almost dead and one had even died before Loki got to him. Loki was able to save them all, even the one that died, using his powers. "There we go now, all better, though might I ask what did this?" Loki asked. "Bugbears... they have been altered by the bombs just like everything else in this world, their venom causes your body to develop an allergic reaction.” "Bugbears, huh," Loki said as he placed a paw on his chin. "Have any of you salvaged a venom sac from one of them?" "No, if we had we may have been able to create a cure of our own," one of the workers in the infirmary said. "Okay, then do you know where I could find a nest of these bugbears?" "Why would you want to find any of those?" "Well, I can't create a cure without being able to examine a pure specimen of their venom. I'm not going to be here forever, after all, so giving you a cure for future use would do you a lot of good." One of the guards that had led Loki in nodded and stepped forward. "I'll give you a map and mark a known area where there's a lot of bugbear activity. It's an old store, so if you could get us some supplies from there while you get the venom, we would appreciate it." “No problem," Loki said with a nod. Loki took the map, examined it, and with a quick teleport, appeared right outside the store. The store in question looked like an ordinary a grocery store. "Apple's Grand Grocers," Loki read. On it was a picture of Applejack. "I have a feeling the Apple family did really well in this universe," Loki commented. Loki phased through the door with a bag in hand, and he gathered whatever was still edible. A sound caught his ear as one of the mutated bugbears appeared. It was ugly. Appearing as more bug then bear, with the bear parts literally looking like they were rotting away. It charged at Loki, stinger raised. Loki dodged the attack, and with a punch, slammed it into the ground, dead. Loki stored it in another bag and floated up, phasing through the roof. He was met with a dropkick. Loki grunted as he landed, "That hurt... that actually hurt." He looked up to see another cloaked figure. "Isn't this a surprise?" Loki could tell it was a female by the voice. The cloak also gave way slightly to show her face. She looked like a female version of himself. Loki's eyes widened at the sight before him as he subtly prepared his magic. "Who are you?" he asked carefully. "I've taken to calling myself Eris. I'm the goddess of Imbalance!" Loki then had a sudden epiphany, flashing back to his earlier magic flare. "Y-you came from me. That magic flare earlier was you," he said, pointing a talon at her. Eris smirked and started to clap slowly. "Very good, I was sure you'd figure it out." "Why did you attack me? What do you want?" Loki asked, his eyes narrowed. "Isn't it obvious?" Eris chuckled. "You're the god of Balance and I'm the goddess of Imbalance. I'm here to make sure that you don't succeed in your little project in this universe." "You know I'm going to stop you," Loki growled. "You'll certainly try," Eris said with a wild glint in her eye. "And that's what's going to make this so much fun!" Loki summoned up a blast of rainbow-filled magic, which Eris countered with the same blast. The two teleported and each threw a punch that collided. The shockwave collapsed the building under them. 'She's mirroring me... how is she doing this?' Loki asked himself as they both created a sword and slashed, the blades cutting into one another. "Well she is you, Loki," Discord commented. 'I don't follow,' Loki answered. "She is your alternate self, all your memories, experience, everything you is her," Twilight answered. 'So... she has my memories? Doesn't that mean...' Loki didn't get to finish as Eris kicked him in the gut. "Are you arguing with Discord and Twilight? Because let me tell you, I don't have those two idiots in my head," Eris said with a smirk. "Oh, would you like one of them?" Loki asked with a chuckle. "My brain is only a two-bedroom apartment. One of us has been sleeping on the couch for a while." "Cute, the little jokes during your fights was exactly what I expected you to do," she said with a dark chuckle. "Oh yeah, well... did you expect me to say... Wub-a-lub-a-dub-dub!" Loki called out suddenly. Eris blinked once and admitted, "No, I didn't." "Yes! that's one point for me!" Loki cheered. His celebration was short lived as he dodged a blast from Eris as she charged at him. Loki avoided another one of Eris's attacks before he snapped his talons and appeared in a Ryu costume. Eris mirrored his action and appeared in an Akuma costume. 'Yikes, she really does have all my memories.' He and Eris ran up to each other and started mirroring the Street Fighter characters they were dressed as. They both knocked each other back and, in a flash, Loki turned the building into a mecha. Eris copied him with the road, the driveway, and a few boulders. The two started smashing in an old fashioned robot fight. Loki got Eris into a lock and started punching at the robot's chest over and over. Eris blasted her way out of the robot and into Loki's, slamming him into the mountain. As she went to strike him with a magic covered fist, Loki teleported away and slammed a mountain into her. The astral forms of Discord and Twilight appeared in front of him. "Loki, behind you!" Discord screamed. He turned, only to get sucker punched across the face with a glowing fist, sending him flying off into the sky. Using his power Loki stopped himself in mid air. "Hey guys, tell me, am I actually getting tossed around this whole fight... by me!" "That does seem to be the long and short of it," Discord said with a nod. "Well, not exactly you," Anthro-Twilight clarified. "More like a female-mirror version of you." 'Let's not get into semantics,' Loki growled in his head. 'Right now we have to think of a way to beat her.' "If you have any ideas, I'm all ears," Discord's projection said as he covered himself in ears. 'Okay, so she has all my memories so she's able to predict what I'll do. So what if I start fighting in ways I haven't done before?' Loki suggested as the gears in his head started to turn. "And how do you think we should do that?" Aanthro-Twilight asked. 'That's what I'm still trying to...' All of a sudden a literal lightbulb went off above his head. 'I've got it! I think I've got something that she won't expect.' As Eris was coming in, Loki just stood there. When she got in range, he delivered a punch and went on the offensive. He added in a kick and tossed her before a simple blast to her in his grasp. He delivered another kick to her ribs. Eris teleported out of there. She glared, summoning a sword, and she raced to cut him with it. Loki teleported away at the last moment and appeared back in place before delivering an uppercut to her jaw. Eris floated away for a moment. "It's actually working?' Discord asked. Inside Loki's mindscape Discord and Twilight watched what Loki was doing. "This is so unlike him... look at Eris, she'll never get it," Discord said. Eris glared at Loki then had an idea of her own. Teleporting into the sky, holding her talons up she channeled a lot of magic into a point. Soon enough a miniature sun formed in her talons. "Well, it's been fun, but I think I'll just destroy the planet." Loki charged his magic on the tip of his talon and fired into it. The sun wobbled and even expanded for a moment before suddenly collapsing in on itself and becoming a miniature black dwarf. Eris growled and threw the nearly dead core to the ground harmlessly. "What was that?" "A time dilation spell," Loki explained. "I basically just made it so that nuclear fusion would occur much faster, so it would just die before you could pull a Frieza on this place." Eris's eye twitched at that and took a deep breath to calm herself down. "So you nearly created a black hole instead of trying to turn the star into something else?" "Well, I was kind of hoping for the black hole. Even you would have a hard time trying to escape that." "It doesn't matter, I can just create another one!" Eris did so, forming another mini-sun. Loki sent the same spell at it. At that Eris responded with a glare. "Okay, you know what?" Eris summoned up two new swords. Anti-magic swords. "I have a better idea." She then tossed them into space, aimed right at the sun and moon. "No sun or moon for the planet!" Eris said with a laugh. Loki fired two magic blasts to trail them. When they met, the blasts and the swords blew up. Eris took this time to impale Loki though the chest with a spear. "You fell for it! Oh my, you actually fell for it!" Eris said with a laugh. Loki coughed a bit. This wasn't at all fatal but it hurt like hell. “Ugh, I don't like you," Loki stated as he pulled the spear from his chest. "That's good because I don't like you either," Eris said with a bit of a laugh. "Hey Eris, look up," Loki said as he pointed up with his paw. "Nice try, but I'm not falling for that old trick," she said as she put up a shield above her head. A moment later a pillar of earth erupted from the ground and impaled Eris in the chest. Eris coughed and glared down at Loki. "There, now we're even," he said with a smirk. "Don't say that word in front of me!" Eris howled. "What, even?" Loki asked with a tilt of the head. “That word, stop it!" Loki thought for a moment on what she was meaning by the word. "It's because she's the goddess of Imbalance," Twilight said to him. 'Oh I thought... never mind.' Eris removed herself from the pillar. She channeled a lot of energy into his hands. "I'll teach you to say that..." Discord then added in, "Loki I have a idea, trick her into entering the void." Loki thought that over. Eris let loose the blast as Loki teleported away. "Ok let's go with that. Now then, how do I trick her into the Void?" "I dunno, I didn't think that far ahead," he admitted. Loki thought it over for a moment and an idea formed in his head. 'I've got it.' "If you don't like it when I say even then you'll really hate what I'm going to do next!" Loki called out with a big grin. "I'm going to make things even across the multiverse and bring balance to it all!" Loki then opened a portal to the Void and slipped inside, leaving it open for Eris to follow. "Oh no you don't!" Eris roared, taking the bait. Loki appeared in the Void a moment later and looked around only to be tackled by a screaming Eris. "You bastard! I'm not going to let you do what you want!" Eris shrieked as she attempted to claw at Loki. Loki had expected that kind of reaction and was blocking her wild attacks. "Look over there, Balance!" Loki screamed. Eris did and then realized a rocket was strapped to her back with Loki walking back through the portal. "I hate you you fu-" The rocket took off, sending Eris far into the Void. "Looks like I won that one!" Loki screamed in triumph. He picked up the bag and bugbear and headed off to give the supplies to the people. "Hey Loki," Discord started. 'Yes?' Loki asked. "I just realized we're back at one hundred percent." Loki paused. "How long have we been at full power?" Loki asked. "About... an hour." Loki face-taloned. "You realize I was fighting Eris under the assumption I wasn't at full power, right?" "Umm, I'm sorry?" Discord offered with a weak grin. "And why didn't you say anything?" Loki asked anthro-Twilight. "I figured you'd be eager to get everything over and done with here." "I wasn't paying attention to that," Anthro-Twilight's projection admitted. "I was just reviewing where I went wrong to end up sharing headspace with two insane idiots." Discord and Loki rolled their eyes at the comment. "Whatever, let's just get back to New Canterlot and see what we can do about the fallout." Loki sighed as he snapped his talons and reappeared in the middle of the piecemeal city. One of the guards that had found him noticed him and walked up to him. "Did you find what you were looking for?” "Yup, now I should be able to create a cure for bugbear venom," Loki said, and with a snap, created a basic anti-venom that could be synthesized. "Alright, now I have something I should do," Loki said with a smile. In a flash he appeared over the planet. "Alright, first order of business now that I'm at full power." With his hands raised he pulled the chaos fallout from the planet and placed it into a ball. "Fix the messy chaos fallout, check." He made the ball glow back into a statue of Discord. "Return Discord, check." With a flash it appeared in New Canterlot. "Now for the finale!" With a rainbow ball between his hands, he shot it out to hit the sun and moon. In a flash, the two royal sisters were finally free of their celestial bodies. "Get the princesses back, and there we go, all is as it should be." "Not a bad show, if I do say so myself," Discord said. "Whatever, I still don't see the big deal about our work," Anthro-Twilight huffed. "Okay, and now I'm going to add one last finishing touch on this place," Loki said as his talons glowed. "I'm going to add some magic to this place that'll detect any Void energy. That way if Eris or somebody else tries to screw anything up, we'll know." "Sounds good to me," Discord said. "Where are we going next?" Anthro-Twilight asked. "Who knows," Loki shrugged. "Maybe we'll get lucky and we'll be able to go home," he finished as he tore open another portal into the Void.
Equal is not BalanceView OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidEqual is not Balance"Sorry Twilight I win full house!" Discord said as he placed out his Astral cards. Twilight showed her's. "Straight flush." Discord tossed the Astral cards away. "How do you keep doing that... the winning!" Discord demanded. Twilight had a smirk. "Because you're just that unlucky." She said. Loki sighed as he flew through the void passing by universe after universe. "You both shouldn't be playing cards, you should be warning me incase Eris is following us." Loki stated, as he passed by what looked like universes orbiting some kinda void tree. "Loki I don't think she can find you, your cloak blends in perfectly with the Void after all." Discord asked. Loki was about to respond with he stopped feeling his spine wiggle under his skin. "I sense a disturbance in the force." Loki looked at the universe he stopped at. With a snap he entered it. He appeared inside ponyville with everyone having the same cutie mark.... that mark of the unicorn from season five. "Okay, this is freaky," Loki said as he made himself invisible. "It seems that Starlight Glimmer managed to take over in this universe," Discord said. "Well, if everyone's equal then we're not needed to bring balance," anthro-Twilight dismissed. "That's where you're wrong," Loki said as he flew over to Twilight’s Castle. "Starlight's spell to remove cutie marks throws the natural flow of magic in the world into imbalance. We need to find her and stop her before she does anything else to this place." "That shouldn't be too..." anthro-Twilight started. "Don't even finish that sentence," Loki interrupted. "You're still new to all this so let me explain some things for you. Never say a few key phrases: what could possibly go wrong and basic iterations of this'll be a cinch." Loki phased into the crystal castle looking for any clues. He came to the map of equestria. The sign of the spell was on most of Equestria. Using his senses he could sense Luna and Celestia where leading a hopeless rebellion as the map always gave them away, the crystal empire had destroyed the tracks and was using Shining barrier to block out the advance. Finally he found Discord.... he was trapped under the castle chained in both anti-magic and with the spell on him. His natural chaos was fighting the mark to a stalemate even while under the anti-magic. 'Makes sense to keep the biggest threat locked up.... wait he has the mark....' Loki then went for not just the ponies... he then paled. Dragons, Griffins, Minotaurs... even a few Changelings were all under the mark. "This is insane," Loki said as he double-checked the map. "Starlight in this universe is way stronger than the one I dealt with. She's able to affect species that don't even have cutie marks." "Can you tell where Starlight currently is?" Discord asked. Loki looked over the map and pointed at Canterlot. "She should be there. The first thing we should do though is free the Discord of this universe. Then, we should see if we can find any Changeling queens and have them help Celestia and Luna's rebellion. After that, we should send a projection to go and taunt Starlight Glimmer and get a feeling for her general abilities. Does anybody have any additional input?" "No, go do whatever you want," anthro-Twilight shrugged. "Discord, your thoughts?" "Yes, where are the mane six?" Discord asked. Loki thought for a moment. If Starlight was like this and the castle was out. Loki's eyes widened. "They fallen...." he said in a low voice. In the castle dungeon Discord of this reality shrugged once again. All his magical strength remaining was going to fighting this accursed mark. 'If I was free of these bonds I would purge this thing out of me...' He thought. Suddenly his bids where ripped right off him. As he feel on the ground he felt his full power return. The cursed mark was soon erased out of his system by the full force of his magic. "You ok? No mental brainwashing?" Loki said still invisible. "Who's there?" This universe's Discord asked as he whipped his head towards the source of Loki's voice. Loki appeared to him. "A reality bending multiversal god of Balance that happens to look a lot like you," Loki explained at breakneck speeds. "That makes sense," this universe's Discord replied with a nod. "So why did you set me free?" "Easy, so you could help me deal with Starlight Glimmer." "Oh, I like the sound of that," Discord said with a manic grin. "I've got quite the score to settle with her." "Glad to hear that you're on board. How's about you and I help kickstart a revolutionary army?" This universe's Discord nodded and in a flash he was in an 18th century French outfit. "Count me in, viva la révolution!" Chrysalis was getting tired. The hive mind they all shared as a race was their greatest strength what one Changeling knew they all did, but now that cursed mark was turning it against them. She was able too with her magic tone it out, the effects on the hive mind but it was taxing on her and there wasn't enough love in the stores to keep it up. 'This is hopeless....' She was afraid, the whole of the changelings were. Suddenly a wave of energy shot through the hive mind. When it was over the sounds of the taint within them was silenced. "Don't worry they're not dead, I simply put up a psychic barrier keeping them out." She looked up to see 'Discord'. "Discord? How did you escape?" She asked. Loki rolled his eyes. "I set him free, hello I'm a reality bending Multiversal god of balance." "And why do just so happen to look like Discord?" Chrysalis asked pointing a hoof at Loki. "That's a long story so I'll just simplify it to, 'magic,'" Loki shrugged off. "That's as good of an answer as I'm going to get, isn't it?" Chrysalis sighed. "Yup, now let's get back down to business," Loki said with a clap. "Now, I'm going to give you a big boost of love energy so you can fight off Starlight's magic, and in return you're going to help me and join Celestia and Luna's revolutionary army." "And why should I help them!?" Chrysalis shrieked. "They and their subjects nearly killed my hive!" Loki rolled his eyes at that response. "Well ask yourself this. What's more important, your grudge with ponies, or your hive's safety?" Chrysalis gritted her teeth for a moment before letting out an indignant huff. "Fine, I will do as you say and help those two pony princesses." Celestia and Luna gave sigh. Everything just got more and more hopeless. Somehow these forces keep getting abused and converted. With Discord captured and Twilight and her friends missing there was no way they could turn back the tide. A Pegasus Stallion came flying in. "Princess Celestia, Princess Luna I bring word from Las Pegasus." The sister expected it to be more of the same news. "How many did we lose?" Luna asked. The Pegasus was confused for a moment. "No one in fact we won." This was surprising news. "What but how?" Celestia asked. "Simple Tia." Appearing was Discord wearing a strange mask. "After all what's good a mark that makes you same if you can't be special." "And I'm always the most special person in the room," the masked Discord continued, pausing for a moment. "Wait a second, that came out wrong." "Discord, how did you get free?" Celestia asked. "Simple, I had a little help from our friend here," The Discord of this universe said as Loki appeared in a flash. "Two Discords, what is the meaning of this?" Luna asked, looking between the two figures. "The long and short of it is that I'm from another universe and I just happen to look like Discord." "And what are you doing here?" Celestia asked. "I'm here to bring balance back to the world. And possibly give Starlight the witch trial treatment again. All depends on how this all goes down." "Wait, you're here to bring balance to our world?" Celestia asked as it looked like her mind came to a halt. "I never thought I'd here anypony that looks like Discord say that." Loki gave a laugh at this. "Sorry it's just somepony said the same thing to me once before." Loki answered. "Before I forgot, The Changeling's and the Yaks are going to help so don't attack, I'm going to see miss "I'm going to ruin the world because I can" and have a chat." Loki said perfectly imitating Starlight's voice. He closed his eyes and sent a Astral projection out to Canterlot. "Now where is she?" Astral Loki asked. Astral Discord and Anthro Twilight where right next to him Loki turned to them both. "Split up and find her, Twilight will search the rooms, I will search the halls and Discord the basement and break!" The three of them searched the castle. After both Loki and Twilight turned up empty they meet in the courtyard. "Where is Discord?" Astral Discord came flying too to the fast. “She knows about Void Loki, I think she planning to becoming a Void Dweller!” "What!?" Loki boomed as he whipped his head around, looking for the mare. "I knew she was stronger than the Starlight I dealt with, but I wasn't expecting that strong. Where is she now?" "I think she's following me. I didn't stay long enough to find out for sure." "There you are," A voice called out. "I was hoping I could find out a little bit more about where you're from." The owner of the voice then stepped into the courtyard to reveal Starlight Glimmer. Only she looked drastically different than what he remembered. This Starlight's horn seemed to be longer and she seemed to be taller too. "And what's this, two Discords? This is certainly quite the development. So tell me, are both of you from different universes, or are you twins?" "So you know about the multiverse and Displaced huh?" Loki said with a glare. "So let me guess, you plan on spreading your sameness mark all across the multiverse, don't you?" "That's about it yes." Starlight answered back. "Now then who might you three be anyway?" She asked. "Loki, we are Loki." Loki answered. "We? Don't you mean you?" Starlight asked a bit confused. "No he's right we are Loki, me and Twilight exist within him." Astral Discord said pointing to Twilight and Loki. "Oh then who or what are you then?" Starlight asked. "Short answer a drifter, long answer, The God of Balance and his inner voices." Loki answered. A blast was seen coming from the city walls. "Oh and one more thing I'm the one that will stop you!" In a flash Loki's body appeared over the Astral Projection. Soon afterwards this realities Discord came riding in on a missile waving a cowboy hat. "What the...!" Starlight screamed as she erected a barrier over herself just in the knick of time as Discord crashed right on top of her in a massive explosion. Loki floated down and cracked his knuckles as he watched the smoke settle and an angry Starlight was revealed. "I should've expected a sneak attack from the likes of you," she hissed. "I prefer the term surprise attack because who doesn't like surprises?" Loki joked as he prepared a spell. "I hate surprises," Starlight deadpanned. "Well too bad 'cause I'm full of 'em. You ready to go, Discord?" Loki asked as Discord phased through the ground. "Of course I am," he said with a massive grin. "Remember, I get the last shot. I owe her for everything she's done to me after all." "You got it," Loki said as he gave Discord a nod. The two then charged at Starlight. She waved her horn and fired out a massive blast of magic Loki and Discord dodged it. "Whoa..." Loki said. "Carefull you just tore a hole in the wall." Loki said pointing to the wall. Outside Celestia, Luna the Yak Prince, and Chrysalis were fighting though the marked victims with their forces. The explosion from Discord and the blast from Starlight caught their attentions for a moment. "Look's like there fighting the little tyrant herself." Luna said blasting a Dragon down. "Indead." Celestia answered. Loki formed a ball of magic passing it to Discord who in a tennis outfit served it behind Starlight. "You missed!" She taunted. Loki hit it with a golf club right into her head. "Damn it!" Loki cried as he bent the club over his knee. "I'm still slicing it!" Starlight picked herself up and let out a roar of indignation as she let out another blast at Loki. He caught it while dressed as a magician, waved his paw and talons and the magic blast turned into a bouquet of fake looking flowers. Discord clapped at the performance and Loki gave a bow. "Can either of you take things seriously, I'm trying to kill you!" Discord and Loki exchanged a look and quirked their eyebrows at her. "You need to lighten up, Starlight," Discord told her. "Yeah, stop and smell the roses every once in awhile," Loki said as he tossed her the bouquet. Starlight caught the flowers without thinking and paused as she heard a ticking sound. She looked through the flowers and discovered a small bundle of dynamite, just as the timer on it reached zero. "I hate you two," Starlight deadpanned as she was caught in a massive explosion. Starlight got up from the rubble. Her eyes twitched as her horn glow with magic. "You know what no magic for you!" Loki screamed as he tossed a bat shaped boomerangs at her horn her magic was cut off as she was reading a transmute spell. The effect... was shocking. "Well we can't call you Starlight Glimmer now... or have a witch trial." Loki said as he laughed. "What do you ...." She passed looking at a piece of glass. She was now a stallion. Discord was laughing this. "Oh my Chaos this is rich." Loki took a picture on his smartphone he just made and hit send. "Well now I hope everyone on the planet enjoys what you look like now." Loki said with a smile. "You bastard!" "Starlight" boomed in his/her new voice. "Do you really think this is enough to stop me?" "Nah, but it is funny, and really, that's the important thing," Loki said with a sagely nod. "Now, let's finish this!" Loki cried as a strange belt appeared on his waist. "Henshin a go-go baby!" He cried as he appeared in his Chaos Rainbow form, only he was wearing a mask on top of his head. "Come, Discord Saber!" Masked Loki called out as this universe's Discord transformed into a sword. "Final Attack: Balance Slash," A strange voice called out as Loki sent out a rainbow-colored wave with his sword directly at Starlight. She/he didn't have a chance to react as she was consumed by the attack. Starlight screamed and then exploded. “Victory is ours!” Loki screamed striking a pose. A few minutes later the spell's effects slowly was being undone as the cutie marks either faded away or returned to normal. Loki turned to the inhabitants of this world. Discord, Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis all turned to him. "Well it seems everything is getting back to normal." Loki started, "Though I hope you would put your differences aside after what had just happened." Loki said. Discord shook his head as he tried to get his bearings back after the forced transformation. "Give a guy a warning before you do something like that." "Sorry, I'll be sure to keep that in mind the next time I do something like that," Loki said with a chuckle. "Are you really leaving now?" Luna asked. "Yeah, there's a lot of work out there for me and I've got a couple someponies out there in the multiverse waiting for me," he answered with a small smile. "Later everyone," he finished as he snapped his talons and disappeared into the Void once more. "So, where should we check now?" Discord asked as they floated along. "I dunno, there's a lot of places to check." "An infinite amount actually," anthro-Twilight chimed in with a matter-of-fact tone. "Thank you," Loki groaned, "didn't need to be reminded of that."
Sunset over the VoidView OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidSunset over the VoidA portal through the void opened up as a rocket torn apart was tossed into a asteroid. Floating down was Eris glaring at the destroyed space rock. With a flash a beam of magic shot out from her eyes deatomizing the rock. 'Now then where did that idiot get me lost?' Eris looked all around. She was in space that much was known, forcing her senses far into the vacuum of space. 'Oh my earth... no it's just a equestria girls one.... what's this?' A Astral projection of Eris was looking at what she was seeing. 'Games? Sunset is there with the Equestria girls Twilight... oh my seems this was that third movie.' The Twilight was being pressured to release her stolen magic. Eris had a devious smile as she teleported off to the planet. As Sunset and Midnight flew up at each other a voice rang out. "Oh how this will be so boring, the hero wins because magic while the villain is redeemed.” Above them Eris looked down. "Perhaps I should step in?" Eris giggled to herself as she formulated a plan to herself. She then floated down between the two girls. "Now look at all this. An epic clash between one who had lost their way before and one whose overzealous love of knowledge has led them astray now. It's enough to bring a tear to your eye," Eris said as she wiped a fake tear from her eye. Said tear exploded once it hit the ground. "W-who are you, Discord?" Sunset asked as she came to a halt in the air. Eris laughed at that question. "No, I'm not that old fool. You can call me, Eris." "What are you doing here?" Midnight asked as she looked Eris over. "I was bored and decided I wanted to create some unrest here. So, let's have some fun!" Eris cried as she lit up her paw and talon, grabbing Sunset and Midnight in a magical grasp. With a spin they both went flying into the school building. Eris dodged an attack from Sunset by ripping her body in half then merging back. "So close." Midnight fired her own blast, Eris held out her hand creating a barrier around her. "Please Twilight... no Midnight, I'm far more skilled the you with magic case and point." With a snap the ground shock as reality broke under them whole buildings flying up. "Though I could teach you if your interested." Eris said appearing behind her. "After all you'll better than them you're supposed to succeed." Midnight paused stopping her attack. "What are you saying?" "I'm saying that I will teach you everything you could ever want about magic, and more." Eris said as she created a crystal ball in her paw and tossed it to Midnight. She caught the ball and her eyes widened as several different versions of Equestria played across its surface. "Come with me and I'll take you across the Multiverse. And all you have to do, is take Sunset's magic. Simple, right?" Eris finished with a devious smirk. Sunset glared at this. "Twilight don't listen to her!" she screamed. However in a flash Eris appeared and grabbed her by the wists. "Oh really? You think I'm lieing is that it?" With a rip her talons tore open several tears in space-time. Each one a window to another world. Dozens of Equestria's some athro so normal ponies, some human and each completely different. "I am a being who as transcended the chains of a single reality the void is open to me and from it infinity itself!" Eris proclaimed. She heold Sunset in chains and brought her to Midnight. "What do you say? You listen to Sunset and be locked in this world, or come with me and see infinity?" Midnight looked between the bound Sunset and the smirking Eris. "I-if I do this, how much could I learn?" "Ev-er-y-thing," Eris said, making sure to draw out every syllable. "Twilight don't do this!" Sunset called out, struggling against her chains. "This Eris is just trying to use you! Once she's done with you who knows what she'll do!" Midnight continued to think for a while but then she lit up her hands and reached towards Sunset. She cried out as she felt her magic being forcibly ripped from her. Eris cackled as Midnight continued to steal Sunset's magic. "You have chosen... wisely," She said with a nod and a smile. When Sunset was drained Eris simply let Sunset fall. She landed on a bounce house below them. Eris cloaked reached out and apart of it covered Midnight. "There that should help your body get use to the Void now then let's get going." With that in a flash they were gone. A few moments later a portal to the Void open up as a cloaked Discord appeared. "What the? Why did my magic force us here!" Loki screamed. He saw the warped landscape, as did astral Discord and Twilight who appeared next to him. "Eris was here it seems." astral-Twilight commented. "Dear god, what did she do?" Loki asked himself as he slowly floated down. "This whole place feels off." "Loki, I think this is that mirror version of Equestria that we've already visited." astral-Discord commented. "Then I'd better change so the girls will recognize me," Loki said as he snapped his talons. He then dropped down to the barely conscious Sunset and helped her up. "Sunset, what happened here?" "L-Loki, what are you doing here?" "Let's just say I got a new job and I got called here for it," Loki answered dismissively. "Now, what happened here?" "Someone called Eris showed up while I was trying to stop this world's Twilight from being corrupted. Eris told her she would take her across the multiverse if she stole my magic." Loki balled up his fists as he looked up at the sky. "Dammit Eris," he growled. "I take it you know of Eris?" Sunset asked. Loki gave a sigh. "Oh course I do, she basically the opposite of me..." Loki looked at the mirror. He couldn't feel no magic coming from it. There was no way for him to simply pass through it and return home. 'Danm it!' Loki screamed. He punched the stone statue causing cracks in it to be seen. "Ok who started all this?" He asked. The students of Crystal prop didn't get to finish. "Yeah I already know who, read your minds." She glared at the principal. "Ok let me sum up what you just did, you caused a student to become recruited by a reality warping Multiversal entity whose sole existence is to undo the balance of Chaos and Order across the whole Multiverse... oh and you indirectly removed the biggest chance I had at returning home.” Loki was now mad. "DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND ONE UNIVERSE IN A SEA OF INFINITY!" The ground shook at his voice. "Loki, what are you saying?" Sunset asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I guess you could say I'm lost in the Void between universes. I'm not just trying to bring balance to the multiverse, I'm also trying to find my home." Sunset's eyes widened at that piece of news. "I'm so sorry to hear that. But I'm sure you'll get back home to your Twilight," she offered with a weak smile. "Heh, I hope you're right. Now, I think it's time for me to do my job here." Loki then floated up and cracked his knuckles. He then pointed his fingers at the warped landscape and used his magic to put it back to normal. Eventually, he made everything as close to normal as he could. "There we go." Loki said as he touched down. He turned to sunset his eyes widening. Her magic was still there and it had changed. "Sunset... your aura has changed." With a flash the anthro-Twilight appeared. "Seems she a Alicorn if she would to return to Equestria." The appearance of Evilight stunned Sunset. "What the?" Loki waved his hand. "Yeah I kinda absorbed her... not my attention." Loki answered. Sunset then realized. "Wait Alicorn?" She asked. "Yes your Aura have one of ascension." Twilight answered. "How did that happen?" Sunset asked, stunned by the realization. "I couldn't tell you for sure," Loki said with a shrug. "But if I had to guess, I'd say it has something to do with the power of friendship. These things usually do." "I-I don't even know what to say about this," Sunset said as she looked herself over. "Well then, let me say something, congratulations. After everything you've been through, you deserve some good news," Loki replied with a grin as she patted her on the back. "Well, I've got to go," He said as he floated up into the air. "Can't keep Twilight waiting too long. There's a point where her angry face stops being sexy and just becomes scary. Hope to see you again soon Sunset, who knows, you might find a way back to Equestria too." He said as he opened a portal. "Wait Loki." Loki turned to look at Sunset. "Could I tag along? If the mirror busted I can't return unless it's fixed, and I have to to get Twilight away from Eris." Loki thought it over. "A companion to travel across time and space while you help people? Loki all you need it's a screwdriver and a phone booth." Discord committed in his mind. "Sure why not, It gets lonely and I have no one to talk too but the voices in my head." Loki said. Like with Eris Loki's cloaked spread out onto Sunset then broke off . 'Wow.... hey do you think my cloak alive?' Loki asked. "Yes Loki we thought you knew." anthro-Twilight answered. 'And now I want to make a Spawn reference, but I can't think of one that's appropriate,' Loki thought as he helped Sunset through the portal he opened. "Do you always have to make references that only you will understand?" Anthro-Twilight asked with a huff. 'Yes, yes I do,' Loki thought back with a nod. 'It's one of the ways I remind myself of where I came from.' Sunset was in awe of the sights in front of her. "Whoa, this place is amazing. I can't believe I'm here." Loki was drawn out of his inner thoughts and floated up to Sunset. "Yup, welcome to the space between Space, the Void. Now, stay close to me. We aren't the only dwellers here, and some of them aren't that friendly." "Got it, so where should we go first?" Sunset asked, looking around with barely contained excitement. "How about this, since you're new to all this, I'll let you pick where we go," Loki said with a grin. "Well how about that one." Sunset said pointing to the nearest universe to the right. With a snap Loki opened up a portal to it and they flew though. The two appeared in a hall with the stained glass windows just like in Canterlot. However on them where images of the Flim Flam bros, Trixie, Chrysalis. Loki recognized the universe once he saw humble under Trixie. 'The comic's mirror world.' Loki form had returned to his drancoquess and Sunset was in her new alicorn form with the cloak on. "What kinda universe is this?" She asked. "A reverse world, image that everyone who was good excluding reformation was evil, and every evil doer was now good. This is this kind of universe." Loki looked passed the glass. Wow, but wait if this is a mirror evil universe, shouldn't everypony have goatees?" Sunset joked. Loki quirked an eyebrow at that. "How do you know that reference?" Sunset blushed a bit at that. "Umm, this is a bit embarrassing but I got a bit into Star Trot while I was trying to find a way to take over Canterlot High." 'Heh, Star Trot,' Loki thought. 'These pony puns are killing me inside. "Anyway, what are we supposed to do here?" Sunset asked, desperate to change the topic. "Well first, I have to scan the magic of this world and see what the problems are, then I come up with the best plan I can and proceed to solve the problem in as wacky of a way I can think of." "And where do I fit in all of this?" "Well, you're here to be a confidante of sorts. Plus, I'll bounce ideas off of you and you'll help keep me in check. Make sure I don't go too far or something." Loki sent out his senses to feel the magical energies. 'Seems the energies are in balance... what's this?' Loki felt a fragment of something just outside the city. "I found something." Loki said and in a snap they appeared outside. Loki moved the snow and dirt away and found a fragment of a mirror. Loki picked it up and images shot through his mind. He saw something big and powerful. He saw the 12 elements and they broke apart. Loki was shot back by the mirror as he was tossed back. "Loki are you alright?" Sunset asked Loki was gasping. "That mirror piece it came from some point in my future." Loki picked it up. "I saw... the elements my elements destroyed..." "What does that mean?" Sunset asked. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think we might find more mirror shards during our travels. I might be able to find a way to track them down using this." "Are you going to track them using it's magical signature?" Sunset asked, perking up. "Maybe, but the other magic mirrors might have an identical or near identical so we might just have to keep going to other universes until we get lucky," Loki clarified as he began an attempt to locate another shard using the one he held magical signature. Loki could feel the signature of the mirror in the universe. It was off from the shard enough so Loki could identify it. As he forced his senses far into the universe he came up empty. "Well this appears to be the only one in this universe." Loki said. Sunset decided to ask him. "How do you think the elements even got destroyed... they are inside you right?' Sunset asked. Loki thought back to the vision.. "It may seems impossible but Tirek and, whatever that thing made of anti-magic was has proven to me it might be possible to remove my magic but my elements..." Astral Discord appeared to add in his two cents, 'Not to mention if something could do that me and Twilight would be removed as well." "What could do that to you?" Sunset asked, trembling slightly. "I don't know for sure, but I'd guess a Void Dweller. There are dwellers with some insane abilities." "Have you done anything to get another Void Dweller angry at you?" "I don't think so, then again it might not be a Void Dweller at all. I was just throwing out a hypothesis." "Okay, so since this universe is already in balance, what should we do?" "Well, I guess we should go back to the Void and let you pick another universe for us to fix," Loki said as he opened another portal. "Okay," Sunset said as she stepped through the portal. Once the two were back into the Void. Sunset began looking around, thinking about which universe to choose. "How about this one?" She asked as she pointed to a nearby universe.
Solar Empire, NLR vs LokiView OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidSolar Empire, NLR vs LokiWith a snap they entered through a vortex to the universe. As they walked out on the planet they saw posters all over. "What' this?" On one was the symbol of a winged moon with NLR on it. "Oh great Equestria in a civil war." Loki could see that this reality was in the middle of a war between Luna's New Lunar Republic and the so called "Solar Empire". "How does this even happen?" Sunset asked. "Oh you know a movement thinks history was rewritten, or Luna goes insane but not Nightmare... or Celestia... look how it happened is of no concern, it's how you end it." Loki burned the postor with fire, "Simply put I end it by becoming either the peaceful third party.... or I beat both sides into submission." Sunset tapped her chin in thought for a few moments before a large smile worked it's way on her face. "Actually there's another option within the latter. You could come in as a large enough threat that the two sides will have to unite against the threat you pose." "I like that idea there, Sunset," Loki said with a grin. "What do you think of the name, The Grand Imperial Army," "What, you're not going to throw your name into it?" Sunset asked with a chuckle. "Nah, I'm not nearly narcissistic enough to need to do that. Now, do you want to help me create a banner for our army, General Sunset?" Loki asked as he snapped his talon, a decorated military uniform appeared on Sunset. She looked down at herself, smiled and then snapped to attention. "Sir, yes sir!" Loki thought about what he should use for a army. With a snap appearing where a magical constructs of the perfect army. Hundreds of Stormtroopers appeared lining up in front of Loki. Astral Discord appeared at this. "Loki aren't Stormtroopers useless?" Discord asked. "I remember from your memories that these guys are so bad that they could fire at point blank and still miss." Discord said as h held up puppets to prove his point. "Yes I know that, the ponies don't they would see a near limitless army." Loki answered back. "Besides I want to keep the deaths as low as possible." Loki commented. "That does make sense," anthro Twilight's projection said with a nod. "You're not trying to defeat them, just convince them that you're a large scale threat that neither of them can defeat on their own." "Glad to see you're on the same page." "So, we've got an army, how are we going to get Celestia and Luna's attention?" Sunset asked. "Hold on, there's still some things we've got to do as far as presentation goes," Loki said as he held up a paw. "Sure we've got a large scale army and a name, but I think the two of us could stand to look a bit more evil. Ooh, what do you think of this?" Loki asked excitedly as he snapped his talon. In a flash he appeared with sharpened teeth, dark, inky black fur, one eye a glowing red while another was covered by an eyepatch with a large scar under it. His horns were more curved and his animal part were more predatory in nature. "So, how do I look?" Loki asked with a big grin that ruined any intimidation factor his appearance would merit. "You look like a cliche villain," Sunset answered. "Perfect, that's what I was going for. Now, what can I do for your evil makeover?" he asked. "Well, how about you just change me into that demon form from when I stole the crown?" Sunset offered. "You got it!" Loki called out as he fired a beam from his talon that changed Sunset in a matter of moments. When it was over she looked herself and let out a sigh. "Yup, this is just as evil and awful looking as I remember." "Hey, just remember that that form is in no way you." Sunset nodded at that. Loki had a base formed into existence and looked over it a map of Equestria. "Alright first things first we need to set ourselves up somewhere." Loki had a village in mind. "Afterwards we need to appear and attack a big target currently being contested so." Loki found it in the nearby Manehattan. In manehattan the NLR, and the forces of Celestia fought over the city with the NLR laying siege to it. However just as the fighting was about to pick up a song was heard. The sound was accompanied by thousands of bipedal beings all looking the same under a banner which looked like a circle in a wheel. "For The Grand Imperial! All hail Loki!" the army screamed as they crashed into the battle. In the NLR headquarters a beaten pegasus came flying in. Luna was there to greet him. "What is it did the Solar Empire managed to keep Manehattan?" Luna asked. "No... something else took the city... I vast army under the iron hoof of someone called Loki." ‘ "What?!" Luna cried as she came up to the injured pegasus. "Who is this Loki? Do we know what they look like?" "We do not know yet. All we know is that their army is a massive armored force." Luna let out a long sigh at that and asked, "And what of our losses?" "Low all things considered," the pegasus said with some relief. "Most of our forces were simply too injured to continue fighting. The same holds true for Celestia's forces." "Then at least there is some good news in all of this," Luna replied with a small nod before turning to another pony in the room. "I would like to have our recon corps make arrangements to find anything they can about this Loki character. If their forces are able to overtake Mine and Celestia's forces then we must act with the utmost caution." At canterlot the newly fortified city a messenger came to Celestia. "Princess I come to respectfully inform you that Manehattan as fallen, however it was not by the terrorist hands but by someone else." Celestia raised a eyebrow at that. "Who?" She asked. "A force called the Grand Imperial Army, they keep saying "Hail Loki" which we assume is there leader." "This is unsettling." Celestia said. In his new base Loki looked at the map. Mane hatten was now under control but he needed to send a message. "Ok Sunset here my idea I send half the army on Luna half on Celestia and another small group against the Crystal Empire.” "Why the Crystal Empire?" Sunset asked. "Aren't they staying out of this?" "And that's exactly why we're going after them. Since Cadance is a neutral party with positive relations toward both sides this is exactly the catalyst we can use to cause all their armies to unite against us." "Oh, I get it. But aren't you worried about causing too much harm to a peaceful group?" "Not really, the storm troopers won't really do much," Loki said with a shrug. "As it stands the most we'll have to worry about is some minor injuries and some light property damage." "Alright, I'll take your word for it," Sunset relented. "Glad to hear it. Now, let's get this show on the road!" Loki cheered as he snapped his talon and sent his storm troopers to their destinations. The army of stormtroopers loaded up into transports and headed out to the three locations. Astral Twilight appeared next to him. "Loki that mirror fragment has started glowing in your pocket dimension." She pointed out. Loki pulled out the mirror fragment and saw it was glowing. "There must be a fragment in this universe." Loki expanded his senses and found the mirror was not far away from where they were. "So there another fragment in this universe? Where is it?" Sunset asked, Loki turned to her. "Not far the cave system just outside the base." The two of them appeared to the fragment which was right on a bear trap. Loki picked it up not triggering it. His mind flashed as he saw something exploding out of a cocoon. Next he saw him fighting whatever it was only to get knocked into several planet and then slammed into the ground on what appeared to be a random planet leaving a crater. Loki shook his head. "What did you see this time?" Sunset asked. "A... thing bursting out of a cocoon and attacking me and a planet. Whatever it was, it was strong." "How powerful are we talking here?" Sunset asked nervously. "I don't know for sure, but it was strong enough to fight me." "Oh, is that all?" Sunset asked with a nervous laugh. "I was worried that it would be something scary." "Now's not the time to panic, Sunset. We might be able to avoid having this even happen if we play our cards right. Plus, you're going to have to get used to the possibility of fights breaking out between two or more beings that can rip planets asunder at a whim." "Asunder?" Sunset questioned with a quirked brow. "Sounds like someone invested in a word of the day calendar." "What, of course not," Loki replied with a chuckle. "Psst, Loki," Discord whispered in his mind, "Tomorrow's word is pusillanimous." 'Thanks Discord, I'll keep that in mind.' "Anyway, now that we've got the mirror shard, let's bring this world into balance. Shall we get an aerial view of the Crystal Empire and make a declaration of our evil intents?" Loki asked with a large grin. "Sounds like a plan to me!" Sunset said with a nod. Loki snapped his talons and the two disappeared in a flash of light. The two appeared over to see the Crystal empire the only true neutral party in the civil war. The army of stormtroopers fired wildly and all around. The city was under Shining Armor's barrier spell which was holding up despite the onslaught of missed firing shots. Loki was sure he spotted one that somehow shot himself and another three shooting each other 'They’re even dumber than the stormtroopers in the movies... wow.' Loki thought to himself. He cleared his throat as both him and Sunset sat in floating thrones that appeared evil with Sunset's having demonic fore coming out the top. His was made of swords and iron. "Attention Crystal Empire, I am Loki, the Master of the Grand Imperial army, and his is my Supreme Commander Demonset." Loki gave a wink at the name to Sunset. “Surrender or I will reduce your city to rubble." One of the Crystal guards asked, "How?" Loki raised a talon up as a nearby mountain rose up and floated just over the city. "This is how." "What do you want from us?" Another guard asked. "Well first I want your little Empire to submit to my rule," Loki replied still dangling the mountain above the city. "Then I want to make all of Equestria and the rest of this world mine. After that," Loki paused and chuckled darkly. "I'm sure I'll find something to entertain myself with. Demonset, give the order." He finished, turning to Sunset. "All troops who want to avoid being crushed, fall back!" Sunset thundered, signaling with one of her hands. The Storm Troopers did as they were told and fell into formation out from under the mountain. Loki nodded to Sunset and returned his focus to the empire. "Now, I shall give you to the count of three. If your leaders do not come forward and surrender then I shall level your gaudy little homes. "One." Loki slowly lowered the mountain. "Two" as it touched the barrier it smashed thought it, "thr..." Cadance and Shining Armor ran out. "Enough we surrender." Cadance screamed. With that the mountain was tossed off to the side of the whole city. "Very good now let's discuss terms." Loki started. Loki and Sunset thrones floated down to the two rulers, or "former" rulers. "Good to know." A few days latter word had reached Celestia and Luna of the fall of the crystal empire. After both forces had managed to lift the siege it seeme that The Grand Imperial Army had grown into being a forced to threaten them both. A messenger arrived to greet them to a neutral ground the castle of the two sisters so Loki could discuss the terms of surrender. Of course by surrender he meet there surrender. Loki Sunset and the stormtroopers waited in the remade castle. "There should be here by now." Loki commented. "Don't worry, I'm sure they'll be here," Sunset said with a yawn and a stretch. "I don't think they'll ignore you after threatening Cadance with a mountain." "True, so which do you think is more likely? Celestia and Luna coming to actually surrender, or they're using this as a ruse to catch us off guard?" "Hmm," Sunset started as she tapped her chin in thought. "I dunno, both could be pretty likely. How about we make a bet out of it? I'll say that they're coming to surrender." "Fine," Loki replied with a chuckle. "I'll say that they're going to attack us. What should the terms of the bet be?" "Eh, I think we can work that out later," Sunset said with a shrug. "My lord!" a Stormtrooper called out, rushing into the room. "The celestial sisters have arrived!" "Very well, send them in," Loki replied with a wave. The two sisters walked into the room, scowling at Loki while flanked by Stormtroopers. Loki grinned at them and showed off his sharp teeth. "Celestia and Luna, I am so glad that you came to see me. I trust you had a pleasant journey?" Say the pleasantries we know why we are here." Celestia snapped at him. The troopers had their blasters at the ready. Sunset raised her hands causing them to stand down. "Ok then but first I must ask do you two really know why you both were fighting this war?" Luna and Celestia turned to each other. There minds know the reasons were but there hearts gave them doubts. "I see you both have had doubts must have been a populist rebellion that gravitated around Luna and instead of doing the rational thing to keep stability while giving reforms Luna joined them legitimizing them yet also condemning them as because of said war the elements are rendered useless and Equestria is weakened." Loki started. "In truth it was bound to happen a third party would swoop in at the end." Loki leaned in. "No the question is do you two do the right thing united or would you fall divided?" Celestia and Luna shared a long look at each other before the two of them let out a long sigh. Celestia stepped forward and hung her head at Loki. "I will stand down. I am tired of all the countless bloodshed in the name of a war against my sister." "I will surrender as well," Luna said, stepping forward like her sister. "This war has gone on too long." Sunset had to fight off a grin as she cheered in her head about winning the bet. "I am glad to see that you've listened to reason," Loki replied, leaning back in his throne. "And I'm sure that your citizens will love to hear that the conflict is over. Demonset, can you go and get us some documents to finalize their surrender?" "Of course, Master Loki," Sunset said with a nod as she rose from her throne and walked out of the room quickly. A few minutes later Sunset brought the surrender documents to the two leaders. Celestia and Luna signed it first then Loki . When it was done Loki sat and broadcasted his thoughts to everypony in Equestria. "People of Equestria, the civil war is over. I Loki have won, now for my decrees, first I hereby reinstate the royal sisters as rulers and allow more local autonomy from the centre of government so this sorta thing never happened again." With that a flash was seen as the storm troopers, disappeared and Sunset and Loki returned to their true forms. "See Sunset told you it would work." Loki said with a smile. "I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first, but it all worked out for the best," Sunset replied with a small grin. Celestia and Luna looked between the two with shocked expressions, their jaws nearly hitting the floor. "Sunset Shimmer, is that you?" Celestia asked, her eyes as big as dinner plates. Sunset blushed and she rubbed the back of her head. "Umm yes, though I'm from a different universe than the one you know." "Oh, I see," Celestia said, seeming disappointed. "Who are the two of you? And what is your purpose here?" Luna asked with narrowed eyes. "Oh, my name's really Loki. I'm just not an evil dictator hellbent on domination. I'm a god of balance and I travel the multiverse and help bring balances to worlds. Like what I did here." "Ok but why do you look like Discord?" Luna asked. Loki shrugged at this. "I was an Alternate version of him that grew so powerful he could travel across universes, or that's the best I can explain it as." Loki said. Loki turned to Sunset. "Also you did win the bet so what do you want?" Loki asked her. "I'll tell you it later." Sunset stated. "Ok then I'll hold you to it." Loki turned back to the two of them. "We'll be seeing you both later hope you learned something from this event." The two Princesses nodded at this "We believe we have." With that Loki and opened a rift in space and time as both him and Sunset entered into the void.
Meanwhile with ErisView OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidMeanwhile with ErisStanding on a cosmic string within a universe two Eris looked down at the galaxy before them. This Equestria was a space faring empire of harmony. Yet there were other forces fighting them, the Changelings in the fridges, the Umbrum world ships and finally a huge tear in the galaxy of madness ruled over by this reality's version of Discord. "You see, Midnight, this is one of the extremes a radically different universe can be from the common baseline." Eris hand her talons up. at this galaxy. "Now then come." With that the two of them appeared next to a star system which was smaller than them. "This is amazing," Midnight said as she ran her hand along stardust. "I never thought that I'd be up close and personal with the stars." Eris smirked and chuckled at the young woman's reaction. "This is just the beginning of what I can show you. The multiverse holds so many possibilities, some that you can't even begin to imagine." Midnight's expression brightened at the prospect. "So what should we do first? What's your plan?" "Hmm," Eris thought, tapping her chin with a talon. "Right now, Discord, the Umbrum and the Changelings are disparate groups. I'm thinking that we should get them to forge an alliance and send them against the Equestrians. Once they crush Equestria we sow discord amongst their alliance and watch them tear each other's throats out. Think of it as your first lesson in modern warfare." Midnight was hesitant for a second but nodded. However before they could Eris felt something. She could feel a change in the force of magic as if a whole planet was losing it. "On second thought something else has come up." Eris created a viewing screen for them. On one of the planets they could see magical energy being drained into a dark cloud. "What is it?" Midnight asked. Eris eyes glared. She could still feel the pain of being destroyed down to the atom by him. Of course that was her 'other self" memories. "That is Tirek, or at least this universe's Tirek." She spoke with venom at his name. "Perhaps there something else we could do." She stated as they watched as the "tirek" was being shot at by everyone. "What are you thinking?" Midnight asked, staring intently at the magic screen. "And who is Tirek?" "Tirek is a magic stealing... hmm, I can't think of a word other than demon to use so I'll just use that." Eris then chuckled a bit and looked up at the screen. "Of course, here he seems to be more like a genderless eldritch abomination. Anyway," Eris started, getting back on track, "my plan is to help those mortals down there help destroy that thing," she explained with a disturbing grin. "Why?" Midnight asked, confused. "How will that create imbalance?" "It won't really. I just technically have some personal history with Tirek and the sight of that thing is pissing me off. So, I want it gone and you're going to help me do that. Are we clear?" Eris asked, getting into Midnight's face. "Ok." Midnight said nervously. Eris the had a smile. "Oh and if you want When we are done you can get to study it." Midnight thought about that. ‘Studying an Eldritch Abomination that can take magic? 'There is dozens of questions I could ask about this.' Midnight had a smile. "Alright but how do we do it does Tirek have any weaknesses?" She asked. Eris thought back to it. "He can absorb the raw power of the magic but not its abilities, for example if he absorbed Discord's power he wouldn't have reality warping abilities, he also has trouble absorbing beings of vast power or if they are not injured or are strong willed, finally he gains the possible weakness of the magic he absorbs." Eris stated. Midnight looked around. "So we need to get the most powerful beings in this galaxy at him." "Yes but given this galaxy we need to show them that Tirek is a threat so how do we do that?" Eris asked, she had already thought of that but wanted to hear what Midnight had to say. Midnight studied the abomination on the screen for a moment while tapping her chin in thought. "Hmm, maybe we should have some crew from one of the major superpowers here come around here and Tirek will steal any magic that the crew has. Or, we could cause a skirmish to happen between all the superpowers in the galaxy. Their forces would be drained of all magic and their leaders would be forced to act. Or we could start up a video feed, use your magic to link it to the superpowers and drop a giant magic based bomb onto Tirek. That'll show them what Tirek is capable of absorbing." Midnight listed off. "That last one is a good idea, of course what's better then the leaders themselves seeing this with there own eyes?" Eris pointed out. Midnight nodded. "That would be best." On a barren world Celestia and Luna the Enteral rulers of the Equestrian Empire appeared. Soon Sombra the son of the Umbrum Queen appeared in his shadowy form, Chrysalis the ancient Changeling High Queen, and finally Discord the great enemy and leader of Chaos. "What why are we here!" Celestia asked glaring at everyone. "Why hello there " Eris said, she floated down having taken her own Equestria girls form, which was a gothic look with a top that had written “Down with Balance” on it. "I was the one who called you all here," Eris gave a bow. "My assistant and I have brought you all together to put on a little demonstration for you." "And what could you possibly show us?" Chrysalis asked with a huff. "Please hold all questions until the end of the demonstration," Eris said in a sing songy tone, "or I'll atomize you where you stand," she finished with a glare. "Anywho, below us you will see a planet in the midst of a deadly struggle. Now, the planet itself and the beings on it aren't important. What is important is the thing they're fighting. It is a strange being that can absorb massive amounts of magic at a time. Allow me to demonstrate," Eris then snapped her fingers and a large magic nuke appeared next to her. "I'm sure each of you can feel the magic in this bad boy." Each leader's eyes widened when they felt the amount of energy Eris just conjured up. "Now, I'm going to drop this puppy right on Tirek's nonexistent head." Eris tossed the magic nuke into the dark cloud. The explosions blinded everyone for a moment as the force of a mini star was unleashed on him. "Well that thing most likely dead..." Discord started but was shut up as the magic was seen being devoured by Tirek. "What in the name of Harmony is that thing?" Celestia asked. "Oh that is Tirek, if left unchecked he will devour all your magics until there is nothing left." Midnight said. "That's basically the long and short of it," Eris explained with a laugh. "If left unchecked, Tirek will eventually consume all magic in the galaxy. Oh, and you might want to be quick when it comes to dealing with the thing. I may have accidentally just made it stronger due to my little stunt. Welp, have fun!" Eris cheered as she snapped her fingers causing her and Midnight to disappear in a flash. When they reappeared Eris was in her standard form and looking at a magic screen with Midnight next to her. "Why did you do that? Aren't we going to help them?" Midnight asked. "Oh, we'll. I just wanna see them struggle for a little bit. Gods have to get their entertainment somehow, after all," Eris said with a giggle. "Besides if worse comes to worse I'll step in." Eris looked as the leaders and several dozen fleets attacked Tirek. The Eldritch Abomination was proving hard to injure but the massive amount of bombardment keep it pinned down. Of course apart of every blast was absorbed by Tirek. Eventually Tirek started to force his way though the attacks. The closest ships where first as there magic was being drained and soon the whole fleet. "Well I have seen enough." With a snap a barrier stopped the drain. Eris appeared in her Equestria girls form and floated up to the cloud. "You think you're what inviable? The fact you can feed on magic?" Tirek attempted to drain Eris but the gap between them was extremely wide. "No, you will." Her voice turned echoey and filled with power. "DIE!" Eris eyes had lighting of Chaos and Order coming out as she let out a blast of energy at Tirek. Cries of pain could be heard has Tirek was burned in the magic. Eventually Tirek started to drain it growing in power. However Eris had a smile. Tirek started to shack. Lights could be seen. "Your a fool, you're just a force of nature, if you were actually intelligent you would have sensed it." She stopped and gave a laugh. "I have Anti-magic flowing through my vines!" With that Tirek exploded. “Ahh, that was very therapeutic," Eris said, slumping over with a grin. "Okay Midnight, you can study the remains now. If there are any." Midnight nodded nervously and floated down to the surface of the planet to see what she could find. Eris looked down at her would-be apprentice and sighed. "You know things would go a lot faster if you just used your magic to scan for any remains!" she called down. "How am I supposed to do that?!" Midnight called back over her shoulder. "I still haven't learned how to control my magic very well yet." Eris groaned, dragging a hand down her face and a finger on her other lighting up with magic. The magic formed into a little ball which she flicked down at Midnight, hitting the girl between the eyes. "There you go, instant knowledge on how to scan for anomalies. Knock yourself out, looks like the grown ups are about to talk." Eris then turned her head to see the leaders of the factions coming towards her. "How did you do that?" Discord asked. "Eh, you don't have to worry about that," Eris shrugged. "It's a long story anyway." "Why didn't you offer your aid at the beginning of the battle?" Luna asked, glaring at the god. "I thought you all could handle it. What, do you expect a random stranger to solve all of your problems for you?" Midnight pulled out a few fragments from the ground and stored them for later study. ‘Strange there should be more fragments.’ She thought to herself. Eris came floating down and with a nod from her they were off. “So where are we going next?” Midnight asked. “How about we go somewhere beyond this multiverse?” Eris asked as they entered into the void. Floating in space fragments of Tirek crashed into something. For a moment nothing happened until it pulsed like a heart. In another universe Loki pulled out from a volcano another mirror fragment. "This is the culprit." He said. Suddenly his whole body shock. "Sunset... I just felt that something unholy was given life." "Are you serious?" Sunset asked. "How'd you do that?" "The specifics are iffy, but it's related to the Void. If I had to guess, this is related to a Void Dweller." "What do you think it means?" "Nothing good," Loki replied looking up at the sky. "Sunset, we should be on the lookout from now on. I've got a bad feeling about all this." "Do you think we're going to have to deal with... whatever this is?" Loki chuckled and smiled at her. "Now you've got the hang of the insanity that is my life. Yeah, we'll probably deal with this. Not that I'm worried about it, I'm a god and I've got you to help me." Sunset nodded at him. "Yeah, I'll help you, no matter what this turns out to be.” "Alright," Loki said, holding up his paw in a thumbs up. "So, what kind of universe do you think we should hit up next? Ooh, I've got an idea!" Loki cheered excitedly. "Just throw out a random idea for a universe and we'll see if we can find one that matches your description! It'll be great!" "How about one with a Displaced already within it?" Sunset asked. Loki blinked at this. He knew about thousands of worlds. "Sunset I know of thousands of those kinds of worlds, anything to narrow it down?" Loki asked. "Ok so like what?" Sunset asked. Loki started to pull out dozens of cards. "Well do you want one I visited? Maybe one I haven't visited? Is it Anthro, normal, or maybe a bit more extoic?" The cards all showed random images. "Is it one where the Princesses are vastly powerful or not? Finally Is it science , magic or both?" Loki was then finished. "Either way there are millions of these worlds out there." Loki shuffled a deck of cards. He showed the whole deck, they were all blink. "Pick one up and it will tell which you want to visit." Sunset tapped her chin in thought and looked over the cards. "Will these really show what I think, or did you just put a spell on them that'll reveal an image that was already there?" Loki grinned and chuckled at her skepticism. "That's a fair question, either way you've gotta pick one." Sunset sighed and reached out to pick a card. "You love messing with me sometimes, don't you?" "Heh, yeah, but I'm like that with everyone. Including my wife." She just rolled her eyes and pulled out a card. The card was surrounded by a flash and just like Loki said, an image appeared. Sunset quirked an eyebrow and showed Loki the card. "I think you'll like this one. He looks like a goofball." Loki chuckled when he saw a blonde man in a red duster happily munching on donuts. "Do you know who he is?" Sunset asked. Loki put the cards away. "No but I know who he is displaced as, some Displaced are known to act the opposite of who they are." Loki answered. "Like you?" Evilight said in his head. "Why yes." Loki closed his eyes as he looked far into the ether of the void to look for the world. He opened his eyes. "Ok I found it here Sunset you do the honors." Discord handed her scissors. "Just use these to cut into somewhere and we are there." Sunset shrugged and took the scissors in her magic. She used the scissors and cut into the air itself. "Why do you have these when you can just do it without them?" "Because it's more fun to do it this way," Loki replied with a shrug. Sunset shrugged as well and stepped in the portal that she had made. Loki followed right after her.
Meeting VashView OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidMeeting VashThe two found themselves floating above Canterlot Castle. "Looks like this is where he's holed up," Loki commented. "Wow, Canterlot Castle, this sure brings back memories," "Yeah, I'm sure. Wanna see if we can find this Displaced?" Loki asked. The two of them hid in the shadows as they sneaked through the castle. "Ok lets see, can you tell when we are relative to time?" Loki whispered. Sunset looked around. "Not really." Loki paused. "Ok Discord, Evilight go and scout out for us." The two Astral Projects appeared. "Very well mon capitan." Discord said as both him and Evilight moved out. The two were waiting for Discord and Evilight to come back when they heard a sound in the distance. They turned to the disturbance and saw the young man from the picture whistling happily while strolling down the halls. "Looks like we found him," Loki whispered. Vash stopped his whistling and turned directly towards them. "Who's there? Sunset, Twilight, are you two trying to play a prank on me?" Vash asked with a grin. "Sunset?" Sunset asked, her eyes widening at the mention of that name. "Seems like your counterpart is still around while Twilight is Celestia's apprentice." Loki said as he floated out of the shadows. "Why hello there," Loki said with a wave. Vash's eyes widened at that and pulled out his gun in a flash of movement. "Discord?! What the hell are you doing here?!" "Whoa settle down tex." Loki said with his hands out. "Ok yes I know I look like Discord... It's kinda who I went as." Loki teleported behind him. "Oh right, Hi I'm Loki, former displaced, currently a Multiversal traveling god of balance." Loki then pulled out Sunset who was a bit surprised for a moment. "Oh and this is my traveling partner and assistant Sunset Shimmer." Sunset gave wave. "Well actually my universes Sunset, I don't have to explain do I?" Loki asked. Appearing soon afterwards was Discord and Evilight. "We can't find him anywhere." Discord said. Loki grabbed the Astral projection's head and turned it to Vash. “Oh you already found him." "Uhhh," Vash droned, not sure what to make of the scene in front of him. "Loki, you can materialize things like Discord can, right?" "Sure can," Loki replied with a nod. "Can you do me a favor and give me a drink?" Loki snapped his talons and a drink appeared in Vash's hand. "Thank you," Vash said as he took a long sip. And then started to do a large spit-take. "Sunset, what the hell are you doing with wings!?" Vash cried as he stared in disbelief at the mare in front of him. "Umm, it's kind of a long story," Sunset replied with a weak chuckle. "Alright, I won't pry if you don't want to tell me anything," Vash replied with a shrug. He then turned to Loki with a quirked brow. "You said you were a Displaced at some point, how the hell did you become a god?" "Well short version, I became that powerful, long version? Well first I absorbed my Discord," Loki pointed to to Astral Discord who waved. "That was against my will, then I absorbed a entity of anti magic, and every version of myself... here where hundred of thousands of them, finally I accidentally absorbed her." He said pointing to Evilight. "She herself had absorbed dozens of elements to be my equal and well... I entered the void." Loki finished. "It's also the fact you're elements amplified your power in your rebirth." Evilight commented. "Oh yeah I died before I became a god." Vash took his hands and started to rub his temples. "Oh man, being a Displaced is just 31 different flavors of confusing," he groaned. "So, what brings all of you to my happy little universe?" "Oh, well we're just hopping around from place to place and your face happened to pop up." "Alright, well, I was just looking for Sunset and Twilight. Their lessons with Celestia should be over fairly soon. Wanna tag along and see what all of us can get into?" Vash asked with a chuckle. "Ok sure why not." Loki said with a shrug. As they walked Loki decided to break the ice. "So I'm guessing you been here awhile? What to swap stories?" Loki asked. The Astral projects returned to him. "First I'm guessing you were not turned to stone? My Trigun is rusty but I think you could live really long right?" Loki started trying to strike conversation. Sunset herself was a bit gitty at meeting herself in this dimension. It was one thing to meet Celestia in another realities. To meet herself was a different story. "Yeah, after my Angel Arm fired back during the Sombra incident I lost my memory. I spent the last 990 years wandering the world while barely knowing who I was." "Yeesh, that's rough," Loki said as he patted Vash on the back. "So umm, what is the other me like?" Sunset asked hopefully. "Well, she's a lot of different things," Vash said as he scratched his cheek. "She can be a bit moody and distant." "Oh," Sunset replied. "But lately, she's been fairly close to Twilight." "Well that's nice to know, though if I have to guess there is a magic mirror in your world... oh wait spoilers or not." Loki said. "Anyway for me? I ended up in Equestria as jewels became a store owner, brokered a peace, failed to locate the most dangerous being on the planet... by the way if Cerberus isn't at his post, send hunting parties for a centaure, anyway I managed to give Nightmare moon another chance became a father, defeated said criminal and married my Twilight, I'm currently trying to find my way home while helping along the way." Loki said summing up most of everything. "Though Lately that goal being pushed back, I have a new Alt who my equal and opposite, and I'm finding mirror fragments of magical mirror that gives me visions of my future." Loki then paused. "Loki?" Sunset asked. "Sorry I was in thought." Vash blinked at that and tried to process everything that he had just heard. "Wow, I knew things could get crazy for the life of a Displaced, but I think that might take the cake. All I've done was accidentally get another Displaced pregnant, brokered peace between ponies and changelings, and brought some modern comforts to Equestria," he replied with a grin leveled at the god floating next to him. Loki started to laugh uncontrollably at Vash's story. "You got another Displaced pregnant? Who was it?" "It was an omnitrix user that's related to your namesake," Vash explained with a nervous chuckle. "Okay, but what was their name?" "Uh, Jason Hughes," Vash admitted with another weak chuckle. Vash noted the look of confusion on Loki's face and sighed. "I'd better explain. Jason and I were drinking when he decided to show me his natural shapeshifting ability. He turned into a female version of himself and then we decided to have a drinking contest. We blacked out and the next day, Jason's a mommy." "Wow, just wow." Loki was awestruck by this. "See Sunset this is why when I shapeshift I stay my gender." Sunset rolled her eyes. "You haven't honestly changed your gender once?" She asked skeptically. Loki paused for a moment. "Well one of my old alternative selves was a girl." He then remembered one of his old chance wheels had "Change Genders" on it. "No more on this." he said to Sunset. Just before they came to there destination Loki pulled the hood over his head to cover up his face. He turned to Sunset. "You might want to pull the hood over your face." He commented. Sunset gave a sigh and pulled it up. "Good idea," Vash said with a nod, "not sure how Sunset would react to an alternate version of herself that's an alicorn." "Yeah, I get that," Sunset replied with a shake of the head. Vash nodded and opened the doors to a room. When he did, three figures were revealed. One was an anthro Celestia in front of a blackboard while the other two were younger versions of Sunset and Twilight. This Sunset was the older of the two and was paying attention well enough. Twilight on the other hand seemed to be compulsively taking notes and hanging on every word Celestia said. "Hey Tia, I'm here to take Sunset and Twilight, the lesson's over." Celestia looked over to Vash with a warm smile. "Oh, it is?" She then looked over to a nearby clock and saw the time. "I suppose you're right. Alright girls, make sure to review your materials." She told the two with a motherly tone. "And Vash, who are our two guests here?" "Hello, my name's Loki and this is my companion Sunny. I'm a Displaced that saw myself into your universe." "Well, be sure to make yourselves comfortable while you're here." "Thank you, we will," Sunset nodded at her. Filly Twilight perked up the instant she heard the mention of other universes and rushed up to Loki with a twinkle in her eyes. "I could never imagine that there are other Equestrias besides this one! How many have you been to Mr. Loki?!" She asked rushing up to the cloaked Loki with a quill and parchment floating next to her. "What were they like?" She asked, along with several other questions at a breakneck pace. Loki gave a chuckle at her. "Slow down one question at a time." He bended down deciding to give her what she wanted. "I have been to only a few hundred worlds but let me tell you the differences between them can be so great as whole countries never having existed, to be so similar the only difference is that one atom has one extra electron." Loki started to drip sand out as it started to form in front of her. "Image yourself standing on four legs? A lot of worlds are like that, and many of them are tied to a world over a mirror a natural wormhole do a universe where magic doesn't exist and everyone is like Vash in appearance." The sand formed into Swi-Twi. "I could tell you, but I find it better if you read it yourself." Loki closed his hands on the sand and when he opened it "A traveler's guide to the Multiverse, Consider it a gift." Filly Twilight's face lit up and she grabbed the book with her magic. "Thank you Mr. Loki!" Twilight cheered as she hugged Loki around one of his cloak covered legs. "Don't mention it, I happen to enjoy spreading knowledge around." Vash chuckled at the display and shook his head. "Twilight, make sure you share that with Sunset, okay?" Vash told her as he tousled her mane. "Okay!" Twilight replied as she cracked open the book and started reading it. "Hey, how come you never told us that you've met with people from other universes?" Sunset asked with arms crossed over her chest. "Would you have believed me if I had?" Vash asked with a chuckle. "I figured that it'd be easier to explain during something like this," he shrugged. "So, have the two of you met other versions of us?" Sunset asked the two Displaced. "What are we like?" "Well I have mostly meet version of Twilight, one of them was born an Alicorn, and many of them have become an Alicorn... Oh sorry possible spoilers." Loki said, with a awkward laugh. "Anyway, there are versions of you both I know have become either the greatest of heroes, or evil conquers or even fallen heroes who sees everything as suffering." Loki waited as Evilight said with a sigh, "That last part was me wasn't it." 'Oh yes it was.' Loki commented. The idea of some of them being evil didn't sit well with the two. "Hey listen just becomes there are versions of you that are evil doesn't mean you will be evil, the multiverse is build on possibility." Loki showed two versions of Celestia, one was the regal the other was a conquer. "There are some worlds where everyone is the opposite of who they really are, but other then being mirror versions of themselves, they are so different they are basically a different person." Loki stated. He formed a card shading him in his full cloak and another in her full cloak. "Even I have alternative versions of myself, every displaced does." "Wait a second, I have alternate versions of myself in Equestria?" Vash asked. "Yup, and you'd be surprised by the kinds of things that can happen there." "Are you kidding?" Vash asked with a chuckle. "After the things I've seen it's kind of hard to surprise me. Though I'm sure something will pull it off eventually." "You're right," Loki replied, shaking his head. "Even I still find some things that surprise me every now and then." Loki then paused and tapped his chin in thought. "Hey I just had an idea, can I see your gun and one of your bullets for a second?" Vash pulled out the requested items and handed them to Loki. "Sure, what do you want with them." Loki looked the items over and turned back to Vash with a grin. "You'll see in a second." Loki closed his eyes to examine them with his magic, once it was done Loki opened his eyes. Before everyone the gun and bullets were then covered in a magical ball of energy. When it was done Loki placed the bullet it and decided to give a test shot. A ball of chaos magic was formed and tossed up. Loki gave a shot from the gun as a mini rainbow blast hit the ball and the two channels each other out. Loki flipped the gun holding it by the barl handing it back. "There I give you a gift of your own, Harmony shots able to negate minor chaos and dark magic that you normally couldn't." Loki stated. Vash grinned at that and gingerly took the gun back, performing a little flourish as he reholstered it. "Oh, that's gonna come in handy if things get crazy... when they get crazy," Vash corrected. "Heh, you've got that right. Though, I probably didn't have to tell you that," Loki replied, patting Vash on the back. "Alright, though I've got to start watching Sunset and Twilight, do you wanna come along Loki?" "Sure," Loki answered with a shrug. "Sunny and I can afford to stick around for a bit longer." "Cool," Vash said with a smile. "Come along you two, we're going to have guests while we do our thing today. "Whatever," young Sunset replied as she walked out of the room. Filly Twilight just nodded, the gesture mostly being lost with her nose in the book, and followed after Sunset. "Twilight, get your face out of that book while you're walking!" Vash called out. "You'll walk into something or somepony!" "Have fun Vash," Celestia said with a warm smile. "I will, and you try to survive the stupidity of the nobles," Vash returned with a smirk. "Easier said than done," Celestia laughed. "Okay, Sunny, Loki, let's let Tia here get to her job of running a country and follow those fillies." As the group wandered outside Loki cloak started to glow a bit. He pulled out the mirror shards realizing why. "Oh my the last piece is in this universe and it's close." Loki placed them back into the cloak. 'Discord, Twilight I need you both to find the mirror fragment for me ok.' Discord answered for him. "You got it." The two disappeared as small astral balls. "So where are we heading anyway?" Sunny asked. Filly Twilight spoke up. "How about the gardens?" Loki had to think about that one. He could make a telepathic contact with this dimensions Discord to try to "reform" him. 'Unless of course my very presents sets him free, I am literally giving off magic.' "It may not be the best idea to release my alternate self at this time," Discord interjected. "Why not?" Evilight asked. "It'd be a lot simpler for everypony just to get this over with right now." "Because we'd be releasing an angry spirit of chaos right in front of two fillies," Discord snapped back. "We could traumatize the poor dears. Besides, if one or both of them go on to become wielders of the Elements of Harmony then the proper timeframe of my release can provide an important lesson to them." 'I guess you make a good point there,' Loki thought. 'Eh, guess we can leave your alternate self alone for now. Unless we screw up and let him out somehow.' Sunset was busy staring at her alternate self. She couldn't help but worry about her alternate self making the same mistakes she had. Loki was able to caught on to this. 'Sunset don't dwell on this.' Loki said within her mind. Sunset turned to Loki. 'Did I just hear his voice in my head?' she asked. 'Yes, yes you did, sorry I forgot to tell you I have telepathy though I never really use it on account I can also read minds with it.' Loki informed Sunset. 'Remember what happened to you doesn't have to happen.' Loki stated as he ended his telepathy conversation. Loki walked up to Vash. "We got to be careful if we are heading for the garden, despite being in stone Discord is probably conscious and may have telepathy, so not say anything you don't want to around his statue, also you probably can sense it but I give off excess magic I hate to set him free." Loki warned. "Ooh, he can hear my thoughts?" Vash asked with a devious smirk forming on his face. "That's good, because I've got a lot of things I've wanted to say to him for a while." Loki just shook his head at that. "I'd recommend you don't do that," Loki replied. "It's best that you think of Discord like your standard internet troll. And you know what they say about trolls." "Yeah, guess you make a good point," Vash replied with a short nod. "Oh well, nothing would beat telling him off right to his face when he does manage to get free." "Alright, here we are!" filly Twilight cheered as she threw her hands toward the various flora and fauna. "Okay you two, you can relax for a bit and enjoy the weather for a while, but then we're going to do some exercises." Vash told the two. "Alright," the younger Sunset answered as she sat in the shade of a tree. "Okay," filly Twilight nodded as she sat down next to Sunset and tried to share the book with her. "Sunset you mind staying and covering for me for a moment? I got a mirror fragment to find." Loki stated as he disappeared in a flash. Loki looked at where the Astral projects said it was. The cave he was in was artificially made. "Something is amiss." Loki swiped his talons on the walls. The energy was familiar to him somehow. He was wide eyed. "This is my magic." Loki saw the mirror fragment and picked it up. The vision flashed before him. He saw the dweller and it took the mirror from him, and then... the vision ended. Loki saw he was in the garden once again. "Tell me I did not just sand here for a hour?" "Not really," Vash said with a shrug. "So, I'm going to assume you found one of those mirror shards you were talking about." "Yeah, and it showed something stealing the mirror from me." "Hmm, that sounds rough," Vash replied, noticing the hooded Sunset still staring at the younger version of herself. "Kind of surreal to see another you, isn't it?" Vash whispered to her, his back turned to the two fillies. "A little, though a part of me is jealous that she hasn't made the same mistake that I did. Guess that makes me terrible, huh?" "Nah, that's perfectly normal. Still, I wouldn't feel too jealous. She's had it pretty rough herself." "What do you mean?" "She's an orphan, she was on her own up until Celestia took her in." "Guess that explains the attitude," Sunset said with a sigh. "Yeah, she can be a little rough around the edges, but Tia and I aren't worried about her." "Why's that?" Sunset asked, confused. "Because we have faith in her. She's grown a lot lately, though she'd never let it show," Vash stated with a chuckle. Loki gave a look at a watch he somehow had on his wrist. "Sorry Sunny and me will have to go." He said with a sad tone to everyone here. Sunset raised a eyebrow at this. "Why is that?" She asked Loki shrugged at this. "I don't know something is telling me to move this along." Loki said in a casual tone. "That's not a solid reason." Sunset said face palming. "Yeah well just trust me on this ok." "Fine, goodbye everyone," the cloaked Sunset said with a wave. "Goodbye Mr. Loki, Miss Sunny," Twilight said without looking up from the book Loki gave her. "Yeah, see ya," the younger Sunset said, at least looking up to the two visitors. "Here's hoping you two find everything you need," Vash told them with a grin. "Oh, and Sunny," he started, leaning in towards her. "Don't you worry about your counterpart, I won't let anything happen to her." Sunset smiled a bit at that and chuckled. "I'll hold you to that." "Alright," Vash said, standing to his full height. "Loki, here's my token if you want a quick way to talk to me," he finished, tossing a bullet to the god. "Thanks, I'll try to keep in touch. See ya later," Loki said as he snapped his talons, causing him and Sunset to disappear in a flash of light. When the two of them were back in the Void Loki floated over to Sunset with a grin. "So, what did you think of your first meeting with an alternate version of yourself?" "It was... different, and Vash seemed really nice." Loki gave a smile at that. Loki pulled out the mirror fragments and looked at them. With his magic he brought them together with some wielding the mirror was repaired. "There we go now lets see here." However something hit Loki from behind tossing him through the void. "Loki!" Sunset screamed only to see the mirror being grabbed by a long clawed fingernails. The hand and arm retreated back into a maw of a floating head. Soon a long serpent body formed as it flew off heading for a random universe. Loki floated up to Sunset. "Sunset... that's him." He said as he looked at the dweller he remembered the visions from the mirror. "Wait you mean the dweller that... removed your elements?" Sunset asked. "Yes, the very same." "What do you think he's going to do with that mirror?" Sunset asked. "I'm going to guess nothing good." "I figured that much out already," she huffed. "Shouldn't we hurry up before we lose track of him?" "We won't have to worry about losing him," Loki clarified. "As long as he has that mirror, I'll be able to track him down. Now, let's get going." "You got it," Sunset nodded as she flew in the direction that the dweller went in. "Are you ready to see two dwellers of the Void clash?" he asked her. "As I'll ever be." "By the way, I may or may not ask you to become a weapon to help me in the fight," Loki told Sunset with a nervous chuckle. "What? Why would you want me to turn into a weapon? Can't you just make one appear with your magic?" Sunset asked, baffled. "You'd be surprised how effective a weapon with an actual soul is," he told her with a sagely tone. "Whatever, if you want me to turn into a weapon I will," Sunset relented. "Cool, so would you prefer to be a melee weapon or ranged?" "I cannot believe I'm having this conversation," Sunset muttered under her breath. "I guess ranged." "Alright, I'll take that into consideration," Loki replied, jotting the information down on a notepad. "Now, get ready, we're about to go to the universe the rogue dweller is in."
Fight of Void DwellersView OnlineTale of Loki 2: Into the VoidFight of Void DwellersIn a flash Loki and Sunset appeared within the universe were the Dweller ran off into. The two of them found themselves on a strange rain forests. Loki took a smell of the air. It was breathable for humans and ponies, yet it there was a different mix of gases. Loki looked up and saw two suns one orange the other red. Expanding his senses he could detect a spaceship entering the system. It was a first generation ftl drive and he could detect the familiar signatures of humanized ponies. "Sunset, I think this Equestria is just started to explore space." As they flew over to the colony Loki looked around. A mist started to roll over the planet. Loki stopped Sunset. Appearing in the shadows the eyes of the rouge Dweller. "So you followed me? Predictable." The voice was distorted but Loki made it out as Tirek's voice. The dweller rose up with black flames. "You will die here god of balance!" It let out a blast which Loki countered with a blast of Chaos and order. "Yeah well I've died two other times so that's not much of a threat buddy!" Loki snapped back with a satisfied smirk. "You know, that didn't sound all that impressive," Evilight told him with a blank stare. "Quite sad really," Discord agreed. 'Shut up you two, we're about to get into an epic fight here,' Loki admonished, putting his serious face on. "Sunset, I need you to go down to the colony and get them to evacuate. Something tells me there's going to be some property damage from this fight." "Got it," Sunset nodded and flew down towards the colony. "Are you sure you want to send your pet off?" The dweller laughed. "You could use her as a shield to prolong the inevitable." "You mean the inevitable of you eating your own teeth?" Loki asked, looking at his talons dismissively. "Because that's what's going to happen." "Now that was a pretty good comeback," Discord complimented. "Certainly better than the last one," Evilight shrugged. The dweller decided to shut him up and rushed him. The fist colliding with him sent Loki flying through four mountains. In the fifth mountain Loki got up and cracked his neck. "Ok that hurt." He cracked his jaw. Loki reacted by teleporting and when he reappeared delivered a blast of energy sending him far into orbit. Loki followed creating a sonic boom as he appeared in high orbit looking around. The dweller stuck him in the back grabbing his tail he smashed Loki into the bigger of the planet's moons. 'Hey guys, mind tell me... how powerful is he?' Loki asked as he got slammed again. "I'm guessing... at least a bit more powerful than you why?" Discord asked. 'Oh nothing how about warning me!' "Would it have stopped you from fighting him?" Discord and Evilight asked simultaneously. 'I guess not,' Loki sighed internally. 'Looks like I'm going to need to play this one carefully.' Loki snapped his talons, his form wavering as he went invisible. This seemed to confuse the Void Dweller. Loki drifted around the dweller silently for a few moments. He snapped his talons and several clones appeared around the dweller. Loki and the clones then charged at the dweller. The dweller started to laugh and latched onto the invisible Loki's neck with a large hand. Loki let out a small gurgle as his clones popped out of existence. "Did you really think a simple parlor trick like that would work on me? Your magic is like a beacon to me. No matter what you do, I will be able to find you." The dweller then threw Loki as hard as he could. Loki ended up bouncing off the nearby asteroid belt like a living pinball. Loki stop on one of the space rocks. 'Ok need ideas here to lower the power gap.' Loki said hoping for either of his voices to have a good idea. "Well you could take away energy from your bodies regeneration." Evilight said. "But that would also weaken your body, pretty sure being a glass cannon is not what you want." Discord added. "Or you could try to overcharge the element matrix that powers you." Loki took the last idea into consideration. However the rock broke up as the dweller grabbed him though the rock and tossed him into the gas giant forming a blast of energy he let it loose. The gas giant burned alive as the gases burned. Loki shot up and slammed his fists together his magic flared up as he tried to overcharge his power. "Ok my turn!" Loki shot out grabbing the dweller though the nearby planet and into the red star. Loki's eyes narrowed at the dweller, trying to be careful of what he'd do next. The dweller picked himself up, glaring at Loki. The dweller let out a roar of frustration and charged at Loki. He punched the god of balance in the face. Loki let out a grunt and wrapped his tail around the dweller's leg and pulled him to the ground. He held him down and raised his talon and paw into the air. A sphere of magic appeared between his mismatched limbs. "Bigger!" he growled, the sphere shooting up in size. "Bigger!" Loki threw his arms down sending the ball of magic down on top of the dweller. The dweller cried out as the orb sent him crashing into the planet's core. Loki floated away as the planet started to go critical. Sunset looked up as she saw a flash of energy in the skies as the ships started to leave. "What was that?" Sunset asked. On a system map a planet was seen blowing up. Loki looked at the wreckage. "You think that did it?" Discord asked. The answer was Loki getting a tentacle covered in a strange energy to strike through two planets and a few moons. Loki got up on his crater only to feel his magic burning out from contact with the entities strange power. Loki landed on his knees gasping as his body shock. The dweller floated down injured with dozens of scares. "Seems that little stunt burned you out and what a sham to." Loki glared as he summoned up energy around him to restart his powers and burn out whatever that was that weakened him. "Yeah I'm still standing." Loki countered. "Not for long." His hands glowed and with a punch phased into Loki. Loki looked in fear as the elements were pulled out. "Opps." He crushed the twelve elements and Loki gave a scream. Collapsing in pain as his magic left him. Right in front of the dweller where three beings. Discord, Evilight, and Loki former form all laying on the ground. "Pathic." He said tossing the broken gems. He flew away as the three beaten beings slowly started to fade away. 'So this is how it ends?' They thought. Just as they could feel death taking them they all have a single thought. "We had our differences, but in the end... we are Loki." The dweller stopped. 'What was that?' Sunset looked out with a bit of tears. Loki had lost and now he would never return to his family. 'What's this?' On the planet a burst of energy shot up into space. The pieces of the elements floated up slowly they combined and before the dweller the elements were fixed. 'Wait there was twelve of them not six.' In a another flash a wind of Magic gave way the light faded away floated there was Loki . His fur had changed having a golden coloration, his red scales turned bronze and his feathers became a rich silver. His body was double it's length. His cloak became a cape a aura of golden energy covered him finally he opened his eyes, his right eye glowed with order and his left eye glowed with Chaos. "What is this power?" The dweller wondered aloud. "I destroyed the source of your magic. How are you doing this?" "It's magic, I don't have to explain it," Loki answered in a resounding voice. "Now, I think it's time that you return what you stole from me. Do that and I may let you leave here alive." "You think I will yield because you've narrowly escaped death!" The dweller boomed. "I will not relinquish the mirror! I need it for my machinations." "Have it your way then." Loki then bolted towards the dweller, driving a fist with Chaos and Order magic swirling around it into the dweller's chest. The dweller gritted his teeth and brought both of his hands down in a hammer-fist right into the middle of Loki's back. Loki was sent flying downwards a bit before righting himself. Loki teleported up with a blast of magic energy struck as the dweller formed up a shield the blast expanded soon on contact pushing the dweller back and then breaking the shield. Loki came for a dropkick as the heat turned up because of the sun. The dweller grabbed Loki and tossed him into it at the last minute. However Loki teleported right behind him. "Sup." Loki gave a punch the teleporting gave a kick and another teleport grabbing him tossing him into Loki fist. Loki kept this up for a while before he drew his hands back as the dweller came flying towards him. Two ethereal blades appeared in his hands. One glowing with Chaos, the other with Order. When the dweller was within reach, Loki scissored the two blades across the dweller's chest, leaving deep gashes on his body. He then rushed forward, stabbing into the dweller and pulling the blades in opposite directions. The dweller cried out in pain just as his life came to an end. His body exploded in an array of light leaving nothing behind but the stolen magic mirror. Loki let out a sigh of relief, his form reverting to normal as he reached out and grabbed the mirror. "It looks like it's over," he said to himself. As soon as Loki touched the mirror it broke apart in a burst of magic it's pieces disappearing into portals. Loki then saw a vision. It was him collecting the mirror shards and then at this moment the mirror breaks then he finds it again in a endless cycle. "So this is a time loop? A very complex one." Loki said to himself in a flash he was gone appearing right in front of Sunset. "Loki? You're alive!" She said giving him a hug. "Well yeah, that wasn't going to stop me." Loki said. "You were this close to dieing you know." Discord said. 'I almost thought you both were gone didn't feel you when I went all golden.' Discord and Evilight gave a laugh. "We actually feel the same with you, seems your new form merges our minds into one." Discord said with a smile 'So our minds merge completely when we use that. Does that include memories?' Loki asked, blanching slightly. "I'm afraid so," Evilight huffed. "I did not want to see all of the things that you did to my counterpart." 'Yeah, can you do me a favor and forget all that?' Loki thought with a chuckle. "I'm already working on it," Evilight replied dryly. "Been there, done that," Discord chimed in. "Umm Loki, where's the mirror?" Sunset asked, looking Loki over. Loki snapped out of his conversation with the voices in his head and looked at Sunset with a weak smile. "Well, I've got good news and bad news there. The good news is that I survived and was able to get the mirror back." "And the bad news?" Sunset inquired with a gulp. "The bad news is, the mirror was sent back in time to be picked up by our past selves." Loki answered. "How is that bad?" Sunset asked eyebrows raised. "Well that means that this whole fight and my third death is all in a stable time loop." Loki waited for something else to happen. 'Hey if my powers increase shouldn't Eris have felt that?"' Loki asked. "Yes that is strange." Discord and Evilight where in thought with Loki on this for a moment. "I got it! She couldn't sense you because she outside this multiverse making her too far from us to sense the event." Discord answered. "Discord... you might be right." Evilight said blinking at the logic behind it. "So let me get this strait Eris has left the Multiverse for another multiverse?" Sunset said as Loki explained what he and his voices come to about his counterpart, "So we have no idea where she is or how to find her," Sunset summed up. "That's the long and short of it," Loki nodded. "So, what should we do now?" Sunset asked. "Well, I guess we should try to find Eris and Midnight," Loki sighed, "If not to stop Eris then to get Midnight away from her." "I have to agree with you there," Sunset replied as she gazed into the distance. "I'm worried about what'll happen to her if she stays with Eris." "Don't worry, Sunset," Loki told her with a pat on the shoulder. "We're going to set things right, I promise." "I trust you, Loki." "Good, now if we're going to go up against those two then I think we should get you adjusted to your alicorn magic." "What's so different about my magic now?" "Aside from the fact that it's stronger now, you might have an attribute like the other princesses. Celestia with the Sun, Luna with the Moon, Cadance with love, and Twilight with friendship." "That actually makes a lot of sense," Sunset agreed. "So. when do we start?" "How about we start when we go to the next Multiverse?" "Alright then." With a flash the two reappeared in the void. Loki grab her arm and flew them out though the void. Finally Loki came to a halt. "Here we are the edge of the multiverse." Loki stated, "Beyond this point Sunset, you will be one of only a few to travel to other multiverses besides the dwellers ourselves are you ready?" Loki asked. Sunset looked out. She had learned that the Void was as she perceived it. What she saw was stars of different colors. Green blue, red, blue, all of the colors where different multiverses. "I am." With that they were gone flying to another multiverse.
