Nightmare Night, what a fright.
chapter 1
"come on rainbow, were gonna be late for the announcements for nightmare night." shouted applejack at the side of her. "Relax the announcement start at five in the afternoon." replied rainbow dash "But its already five in the afternoon you've been layin on that there couch all mornin!" shouted applejack trying to catch rainbows attention. "Then I guess we better go rarity will be bringing the costumes." said rainbow in a rush." lets get a move on." they ran as fast as they could to get to the announcements they could hear the show already starting to begin.
"ladies and gentlemen we have some announcements from princess Luna about tonight's festival." announced the mayor. everyone stared at princess Luna as she walked up to the podium i just wanted to tell you that we have a new game for the mares and stallions its a maze where you will be chased around to try and find the exit it will be hard so please be careful also the wonderbolts will be here for Halloween week ." rainbow poked applejack and said "oh look here comes rarity with the costumes." rarity walked over to applejack and dash with a costume rack and the other three girls." hi darlings I've got the costumes but I need to see if they are the right size, would you be dolls and try the on at the boutique." asked rarity "sure." the two said in unison
they all rushed over to the boutique. they all changed into their costumes and looked at each other. twilight was harry potter, pinkie a zombie party planner, rarity a cursed princess, fluttershy was snow white, applejack a alien cowgirl and rainbow dash was bat woman. They all looked at each other and smiled and laughed. they realised there was one more costume on the rack and wondered why it was a batman costume . they didn't think that it seemed similar to dashes costume. rainbow was worried that they would find out she ordered the costume. She told rarity it was for soarin. rarity gave the costume and said "good luck rainbow. I hope he likes it." "thanks rarity." rainbow ran to the hotel where the wonderbolts had been staying. she put the costume on the floor and knocked on the door when she heard him shout to the door to say who is it she ran round the corner.
as soon as he didn't hear a response and walked to the door to see the costume on the floor with a letter attached to it he picked it up taking it to his bed and opened the letter it read :
dear soarin,
I left the costume because I want you to wear it tonight at the festival also would you meet me at my house at five, clock sharp not a minute late

he put on the suit and zoomed off to meet dash it was already 4:30 he walked through town in the batman suit. The other five ponies were setting up the games and saw he was wearing the batman suit they realised who it was and ran over to him. they stopped just before he ran up to rainbows house. "Excuse me, Mr soarin where did you get that suit." the four mares asked while rarity was still decorating. "a mare called rainbow, isn't she just great." it took a few seconds for soarin to realise what he just said " you like our friend rainbow dash?" apple jack questioned .
soarin looked at the floor and confessed " yes I do but please don't tell her, we were going to have a fun night tonight." applejack pated his shoulder and said " cheer up sport were happy someone likes her." he looked at the time it was 4:40 he ran up to rainbows house and knocked on the door. she shouted for him to walk in.
"one second im just in the shower take a seat on the couch!" she shouted from the bathroom she walked out and looked at the person on the chair at first she thought it was her friend, she looked back her jaw hitting the floor she put her costume quickly. she left it unzipped at the top to try and make her self look sexy in front of soarin. she walked towards him and said "you ready to go." he looked at her and nervously replied "o-okay lets g-go"

soarin opened the door for rainbow dash and said "ladies first." rainbow blushed and pulled him along "come on lover boy, the festivals starting." she held his hand and hugged his arm. he looked down at his arm he wrapped his arm around her and walked her into sugarcube corner and sat down at the table with her. "hello rainbow dash, how are you doing?" asked Mrs cake "im fine how are you?" she asked as Mrs cake came over to take their order. "who's this rainbow, is he your date ?" she questioned "this is soaring and I am." she said as she glared over at soarin. Mrs cake looked at her and whispered "your on a date with a wonderbolt, im so proud of you." she brought the ghoulish treats over to the table. soarin looked at dash and asked "when I last checked we wasn't on a date, but I thought of asking you out." soarin looked down at his feet "I really like you soarin I mean it." she giggled as soarin looked at her and kissed her hand
he said " we should be getting back to the festival and meet up with your friends." he grabbed rainbows hand and helped her up. they said goodbye to Mrs cake and left sugarcube corner. Rainbow jumped on soarin's back and commanded he takes her to her friends. he laughed and did as he was told and ran to the girls who were standing by the mini games.
"is that dash, why is she so tall?" asked pinkie all the girls looked at pinkie and laughed "pinkie your funny at times." the girls said unison
dash hopped off soarins back "hey guys wat up. "she said with a big smile on her face "hey dash why you smiling like pinkie I thought you were too cool for that." everyone said as pinkie looked insulted. "I've got big news -""what is it." pinkie interrupted. "Me and soarin are dating." she told them as she squeezed soarin. he squeezed her back until applejack interrupted to say "the maze is open!" they ran into the maze and tried to find the end they all ran in different directions to find the end but soarin went in after rainbow to make sure she was okay he ran up behind her and roared she fell to the floor and screamed he picked her up and carried on through the maze she jumped out of his arms and continued to run.
we have to split up she said as she hugged soarin and said "meet you ant the end of the maze." he shouted to her " be careful okay i don't want anything happening to you!" she ran down the path of the maze till she got to a cross road in the maze she went to run forward but trees grew in front of her she went to both sides they both grew trees she looked back and saw discord " discord don't you dare come near me I will kick your butt!" she snarled he looked at her and replied "I wouldn't dream of it so I hired some minions." she looked at the minions and saw it was spitfire and fleetfoot they gripped her and dragged her to the exit of the maze. He pulled out his spell book and suddenly the view of pony Ville turned into his cave in the mountain side she cried as she was tied up. this made her cutie mark glow the others who were at the end of the maze looked at there flanks as they had started to glow. they instantly ran to twilights castle and sat on their thrones soarin had to sit on rainbows for the map to show up. they all looked around the map of ponyville and tried to find rainbows cutie mark it was no where to be seen
they ran to princess Luna to tell what was wrong princess Luna asked " who was with her last in the maze add did anything look suspicious." soarin said to princess Luna " I was with her last in the maze I told her to be careful but I didn't see anything suspicious." Luna thought to herself and it suddenly came to her ' discord.'
