You're Gonna Hate Me For How This Chapter Ends

After a lengthy series of conversations, bartering with Grael, and being allowed to perform the swap, I found myself lying down in a different bed to the one Grael had before I’d left. I stood up onto the semi-familiar paw pads in this body and stretched, yawning loudly before shaking myself off. I looked around the room, trying to figure out what area of the castle Grael had left himself before realising I had no idea where the hell I was. It was a room decorated entirely pink and white, with a large white dresser, white dressing table, and a pink and white princess…

Oh.

Okay.

I was in my sister’s room. My little sister’s room. Even saying that sentence in my head brought on waves of confusion and unnaturalness, being a sentence I thought I’d never have to say. The unfamiliar scents of this room were strange to my hyper-sensitive nose and the smell of perfume and fake make-up made my teeth itch for some odd reason. Spotting no activity in the room from the brief examination I gave it, I headed out through a wolf-door in the regular door that seemed a little too small for me at first, but I was barely able to squeeze through after a few moments.

I thought the room I was in had been a renovated part of the castle, but the area I was in now didn’t exist since I’d moved out. It was a hallway decorated with large paintings of the family, of Luna, Celestia, Cadance, dad, and Astraea. Padding over to the portrait of ‘little sister’, I examined her coloured-in looks and determined that while she looked nearly identical to my mother, Cadance had more shades of pink in her hair while Astraea’s was a single, solid shade of bubblegum pink with white stripes running through it.

Turning my head to the other side of the wall, I spotted a painting of Cadance and a fresh-faced young bastard with a face I recognised and a lifestyle I sorely missed. Judging from the fact that I’d never had a portrait painted of me before in my life, I knew Mom had this one done while I was gone. I felt a warm glow spread over my body and a stupid grin spread to my face as I realised she hadn’t just flung me aside now that I wasn’t around and Astraea was.

I looked further along the wall and saw a portrait that definitely never happened: a portrait of Cadance, Astraea, and I with the little princess sitting atop my shoulders and Cadance hugging us both, smiling widely at being close to her children. I stood quiet for a moment and stared at the painting, allowing my warm, fuzzy feelings to subside before realising something: In that picture, I hadn’t aged at all. I was still the barely post-pubescent, facial-hairless brat I’d been when Luna had whisked me away to a land of spirit-hardening abuse/training.

I’d changed so much since I left, not in just terms of skill. I knew from the painting of me as an eighteen year old compared to now, I’d lost all of my baby fat, stripped down to a lean, muscular man with cold eyes and unexercised smile muscles. The smirk that sat on my face in the painting was one I hadn’t practiced in a long time and the genuine laugh the painting had captured was a sound I’d been without for a good time.

There were other things, too. The lack of the small scar on the right side of my jaw gained from stopping an assault in a rather amateurish way, the smoother features gained from the aforementioned baby fat that had been replaced with a sharper, more angular look. I wondered if I’d look too different to them. I’d had five years to adjust to becoming a man… becoming a monster, but them? They’d wished away a happy child and wanted him to return. But he was gone. I was a hardened shell that had learned how to open himself up instead of an open morsel that had learned to close its shell. I wondered if the sight of me, the new Richter, would be too much for them all at once.

“Ah, Grael, there you are!” a posh-sounding female voice I’d never heard before in my life exclaimed happily. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you!”

I turned my head to encounter a sight I was not expecting to see: A black panther. Just putting it right out there. Black panther with glowing green eyes was staring at me with a pleasant expression, eyeing me up for several seconds before taking an apprehensive step back.

“Grael… what’s wrong with your eyes?” she asked coldly. “They’ve changed colour.”

Deciding not to panic the new addition to the household, I opted to come clean with what I’d done to cause the change from Grael’s grey eyes to my blue.

“Not Grael,” I answered, the different voice coming from the familiar-to-her maw clearly surprised her. “Richter. Grael and I changed bodies so I could speak to my mother. Who are you, exactly?

“... Richter?” she asked in an awed expression. “Big Brother Richter?”

“The very same,” I said with a chuckle. “It’s nice to meet you.”

“Oh!” she exclaimed in shock, padding on her paws briefly. “My mistake, my name is Asalia, I’m Astraea’s protector and familiar in the same way Grael is to you.”

“Well… I hope you’re gentler with Astraea than Grael was with me growing up,” I smirked, padding past the much-smaller panther and looking around. “Now, do you mind telling me where my mother is? I’m on kind of a tight schedule, as rude as I’m being right now.”

“O-Of course,” she stammered. “She, uh, went for a nap a while ago. She’s been tired recently from renovating Astraea’s room.”

“Then she can use me as a pillow until she wakes up,” I shrugged. “I’ll be off. It was nice to meet you, Asalia.”

“You too, Big Brother,” she called to me as I padded away. I made my way back to a place I recognised through blind luck, making mad dashes up several sets of stairs. Darting through halls and open-ended rooms brought me to my destination quickly, using my teeth to pull down the door handle and enter the darkened room. Thanks to my wolf-hearing, I could make out the sound of my mother gently breathing in her sleep, waves of nostalgia and happiness rushing over me as my nose caught whiffs of her perfume and familiar scents of the room I’d spent many a childhood night in, lying in her arms.

I padded over to the side of the bed, looking at my mother’s frayed, messy hair and rather unkempt appearance. Paint flecked her face and hair, her makeup was smudged. And she was dressed in working garb. I gently licked her nose, causing her to stir briefly before doing it again. I repeated the process until she opened her eyes, staring at me with a mildly annoyed expression before speaking.

“What’s wrong, Grael?” she asked sleepily. “Is something the matter?”

“Not Grael,” I said in a happy tone. “Richter. Hi, Mom.”

She was confused for a moment, staring at me with blank eyes as he tired mind processed what I’d just said, putting together the pieces of the blue eyes, different voice, and use of a different name before her eyes widened in surprise. A wide grin spread onto her face as she wrapped her arms around my neck, yanking me off the floor as she turned over, pinning me onto the bed and squealing loudly into my fuzzy neck.

“Richter!” she exclaimed in a joyous tone. “Oh my precious little baby, I have missed you so much!”

“It’s great to see you too, Mom,” I chuckled happily, getting my muzzle, nose, and head showered with kisses as she continued to squeeze me.

“Why aren’t you home yet? I told Luna she had five years and you should’ve been home a week ago,” she said, sitting down on my stomach and staring at me, trying desperately to see the real me through Grael.

“You’ve been counting the days, I take it?” I asked.

“I’ve been counting the seconds since you went away!” she growled, hugging me again and nuzzling her face into my chest, my much longer wolf body allowing her to sit comfortably atop me. “I had everything ready for you to come back last week. I made dinner, sorted your bed out, and even told Astraea you were coming back to see us… then I got a message from Luna that said something came up and that you weren’t going to make it. Everyone was so disappointed… what could possibly be more important than seeing your family again?”

“Plugging a hole I tore in a city,” I answered sheepishly.

“... Is this about a girl?” Cadance asked with a cocked eyebrow.

“No, not this time,” I said with a shake of my head.

“Promise?” she asked.

“I promise,” I smiled. “I… may have gotten rid of the ruling establishment of Falketurm and am currently trying to restore order by helping one of the city’s crime lords take over from the other two and run it himself.”

“And there’s not a girl involved?” Cadance asked. “She didn’t ask you to help her with a promise of sex? No ‘The city’s trying to kill me because I fucked the king’s daughter’ again, right?”

“You seem so suspicious, mother,” I said with a wolfish grin.

“Richter…” she said with a warning tone.

“Alright, there is a girl. But it’s not a sex girl. It’s a friend girl,” I answered.

“You don’t have friend girls,” Cadance said, looking sideways at me. “At least not for very long.”

“She’s a very restrained girl,” I shrugged. “Polite upbringing, very nervous and uncomfortable with sex.”

“Oh… awww,” Cadance cooed. “That’s so sweet.”

“Indeed it is,” I nodded before clapping my wolf paws onto her ass. “And speaking of sweet… let’s start talking about your pussy.”

“Already?” she asked with a chuckle. “I’ve barely spoken a sentence yet and you already wanna fuck me? In Grael’s body, no less?”

“Hey, his dick’s much bigger than mine,” I shrugged. “It’ll be better for you, right?”

“I suppose so,” she said, running her fingers up my chest and to my muzzle. “But what makes you assume I’m so eager to fuck a big, musky wolf?”

“Because you’re a fan of big, musky cock?” I asked. “And because you love me?”

“True, true,” she nodded, giving me a seductive grin. “But am I in the mood for big, musky wolf cock right now?”

“How about you give that big, musky wolf cock a taste test and tell me when you’re done?” I asked, my new cock already swelling just at the thought of fucking her again after so long.

“I suppose that’s fair,” she said, unbuttoning the shirt she wore and allowing her big, beautiful tits to bounce free of restraint. “But if I say no, you have to do as you’re told, okay? I’m not in the mood to indulge my wolf-rape fetish tonight.”

“Alright. It’s a deal,” I said, licking my lips hungrily. “You give this big ol’ cock a big ol’ suck and we’ll see where it goes from there.”

“You’re so bad,” she giggled, sliding her hand behind her and giving my erection and playful tickle.

“And you’re too good,” I growled. “Now come on, mother of mine: smear that pink lipstick all over this monster cock and show me how much you’ve missed me.
