Four seasons

A cool spring morning. Birds singing to their new sun, after a cold winter. And a pink mare still asleep in her bed. She suddenly woke up, to find a toothless alligator stuck in her tail.

"Good morning Gummy! Did you sleep well?" She greeted, without expecting an answer. She took the blankets off and got out of bed. She took Gummy off her tail and looked at the mirror. She was looking exactly the same as always. She hopped downstairs with the energy she always has. It seemed that anything had changed. If she just knew...

That day, she was going to a picnic with her friends, so she took the dozen of cupcakes she prepared last night and rushed to the same spot they always choose to picnic. She was the first on arrive, so she sat down and waited. A few minutes later, Rainbow Dash arrived, followed by a blue stallion known by the name of Soarin, the wonderbolt.

"Sorry for coming late Pinkie, I hope it doesn't mind if I brought him." Said Rainbow Dash, pointing Soarin with one hoof. He greeted shyly waving his hoof. Pinkie smiled and said. "No problem, I'm glad you could make it"

The next one making an apparition was Applejack, she was carrying a basket with apple tarts, accompanied by a stallion named Caramel. A rodeo pony, a wonderbolt, what would it change? she was still going to spend her day with her friends. As the orange mare came closer, she said "Mornin' Pinks, mornin' Rainbow, Ah hope it doesn't mind if Caramel comes, he's been very helpful in the farm" "No ploblem!" Said Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie in unison.

They were talking for some minutes until Twilight Sparkle arrived, followed by a now mature dragon, and a pegasus wearing the royal guard uniform, "Hello everypony! you wouldn't beleive if I told you what happened yesterday!" she said, as her and her acomppainment sat with the other ponies.

"Let me guess... you found out the way to make spike grow without becoming greedy and now he's an adult dragon?" Said Rainbow in a sarcastic tone. Now the sun was in the center of the sky, illuminating perfectly the ponies sitting arround the food they've brought, such a peaceful way to receive the first spring sun rays.

Twilight Sparkle blinked once or twice before saying "Well, yes... That's exactly what happened... Oh, and Princess Celestia told me that since I became a princess, I had to have a royal guard, so everypony, he's Flash Sentri" she explained, and the golden stallion waved his hoof, meanwhile the dragon tried to sit down, a little confused with the dimensions of his new body.

"Isn't this just amaz..." Spike was cut off by an accidental burp of flames, that were much more powerful than the ones he used to send letters, in the times he did.

He opened his eyes again just to notice a half dozen of cupcakes burned and not edible anymore, and an annoyed Applejack, who was just about to taste one of them. Her hoof was a little darker, possibly thanks to the fire it was almost exposed to, but soon she kept calm and said "Yah should be more careful sugar cube, you could hurt some pony anytime sooner"

"Sorry about that, I didn't know this could happen" He apologized a little blushed.After a minute of awkward silence, Rarity arrived. She was wearing a flowers hat, and she carried a basket with cucumber sandwiches.

"Greetings everypony" She said "Isn't this such a lovely morning?" The ponies in the grass greeted, as they made an space on their circle so she could sit with them. She chose a spot next to Spike, who, in surprise, blushed even harder and his purple skin was now a light red shade.

Twilight said, to break the awkward silence "And... Why don't you tell us, Rainbow, why is Soarin honoring us with his presence?" Rainbow's look directed to Twilight, as Soarin turned around to see Rainbow Dash "Y'know Twi, I know you are a princess egghead and everything, but you could really talk normally. He came because I invited him, right Soarin?" She finally said, and the blue pegasus next to her agreed "Yeah, she's been practicing too hard, and since I took her to a restaurant last night, she invited me here, I hope it doesn't mind, Princess Twilight Sparkle" Twilight's expression changed, now she was feeling even more awkward than the dragon in her right side. "A restaurant! How wonderful" Rarity said, "What did you wear Rainbow Dash?" She said, and the rainbow maned pegasus answered "That dress you made me use the other day and then said it was a gift, nothing amazing" as her voice became colder and colder, like if she was getting annoyed.

"I wonder what is taking Fluttershy so long..." said Pinkie, to change the course of the conversation. "Who is Fluttershy?" said Caramel, more to Applejack, but not so low for every pony else to hear. "Oh, she's our other friend, and I'm pretty sure she'll come soon" answered the mare with the hat. "Well, why don't you tell me why am I sat next to a grown up dragon instead of Spikey-wikey?" Said Rarity, in a tone of irony-flirt, which Twilight answered "OH! sorry I didn't tell you before, I found a spell that could help Spike grow up without becoming greedy, but I have to admit, if it wasn't because of Zecora, I wouldn't have made it."

"Yeah, and the best part is... I HAVE NOW WINGS!" said Spike, unfolding his wings for every pony to see. "They're stunning!" Said Rarity, who was amazed by the shiny flakes in Spike's wings. Spike blushed and hid his face in one of his claws, Rarity just activated her magic and raised a cucumber sandwich in with the intention of eating it, but she was interrupted by a sweet voice at the distance.

"Hey every pony, I'm here!" The voice belonged to Fluttershy, who was followed by the spirit of chaos and disharmony itself: Discord. "She is Fluttershy" Finally told Apple Jack to Caramel who nodded, but then interrupted himself with another question "And what is that creature behind her?"Apple just turned around in sight of a not so close friend "He... is Discord, he used to be evil, but now he is supposed to be our friend"
