Some gods fall, others rise.

After a devastating and mysterious attack, Twilight finds herself the only princess left to stand against the monsters that killed her mentor. Alongside her friends, Twilight follows Celestia's last words to discover the only force capable of standing against these new enemies: the Pillars of Light.

But no victory nor friend can take the ring of Celestia's last words from Twilight's mind. The gates of Tartarus are open. The old gods have awoken. And without the Pillars of Light, Equestria and the world will fall.

Time is running out. Sacrifices must be made. But there are some sacrifices even Twilight won't make, and Equestria's fate may be written before they've even begun.
