Twilight tries coffee

  "Now, you're sure you can watch Twilight while we're gone?" Twilight Velvet asked her son. Shining Armor nodded.

  "It's just Twily, mom. How hard can it be?" Shining  Armor laughed. Velvet hugged her son and walked out the door with Night Light. She closed the door as she walked out. "OK Twily it's just you and....." Shining Armor said before glancing around the room. And her first game is hide and seek, predictable. Shining Armor thought. He walked into the living room and saw Mr. Smartypants lying on the floor. Twily never goes anywhere without that doll. He thought to himself. Meanwhile, upstairs, Twilight was giggling to herself.

  "Shiny will never find me up here!" She giggled to herself. She heard hoofsteps on the stairs. Shining Armor entered her room and glanced around.

  "Could've sworn she was up here." He said. Then, he saw her tail under the bed. He smirked. "Well alright then, looks like I'm going back downstairs to find you, Twily." Shining Armor said to no one. As he was just about to leave the room, he poked his head under the bed. "Gotcha!" He laughed. Twilight crawled out.

  "Aw! How'd you know I was under there!" She groaned.

  "Saw your tail, silly." Her brother laughed. She did too. Later that day, Shining Armor and Twilight were playing a game on there Wii console.

  "Hey! Hey! Let me get that!" Twilight said as she moved her character in the game. Shining Armor paused the game.

  "I'll be right back Twily." He said.

  "OK." Twilight sat down as he walked upstairs. That's when she noticed a cup in the kitchen. "Well I am thirsty." She walked over to the kitchen to grab a drink. That's when she noticed it. Her mom's special coffee that she drinks in the mornings to wake her up. "Hmm." Twilight wondered. She decided to pour herself a glass. After just one sip, her eyes widened and she begun to shake like a whole bunch of atoms sped up. Shining Armor walked back downstairs.

  "OK Twily, I'm back and we can finish our..." He said as he stopped, frozen in shock. The doorbell rang.

  "Shining? It's Cadence." Cadence said. Shining Armor yelped. Cadence came in. "What is going...." She asked before seeing Twilight. She saw what Twilight has drunk. "Shining, isn't that your mom's special coffee?" Cadence asked.

  "Uh huh." Shining Armor replied.

  "Oh Celestia." Cadence gulped. Twilight bounced off all the walls. She was very energetic now.

  "Coffee! Books! Coffee! Books!" She kept shouting in glee as she bounced around.

  "Note to self: Never let Twily have coffee." Shining Armor said.

  "You think?" Cadence smacked him.

  "Ow!" Shining Armor exclaimed, rubbing his cheek. "What was that for?" He asked.

   "You don't let a filly have coffee." She said. Shining Armor nodded. Cadence kissed his cheek. "Come on." She said. Shining and Cadence chased Twilight around the house.

  "Twily! Get back here!" Shining Armor called. Twilight sped down the hallway like a rocket.

  "She's on a caffeine rush. Pure energy." Cadence said, catching up to him.

  "Oh Celestia, Mom is going to kill me when she finds out Twilight had coffee." Shining Armor said.

   "She's going to kill you when she finds out it was her coffee." Cadence corrected him. Shining nodded. A few hours later, they were tired, and Twilight was still bouncing all over the place. The door unlocked, and the Sparkles walked in.

  "Shining, we're back." Velvet said. She noticed him and Cadence sprawled out on both couches. "What happened to you two?" She asked. Then she noticed the cup. She levitated it and gave it a whiff. "Did Twilight have my special coffee?" She asked seriously. Shining Armor slowly nodded. Night Light face hoofed.

  "Oh geez, honey, you know not to put that where Twily can reach it." Night Light told his wife. Velvet calmed down and nodded.

   "You're right, you're right." She said. She walked into the kitchen and put her coffee on a high shelf. "There." She said. Twilight calmed down once she saw her parents. "You gave your brother a little bit of trouble huh, you silly filly?" Velvet chuckled. Twilight nodded.

  "Just like you told me to!" She squee'd. Shining Armor's jaw dropped. Velvet laughed.

  "What, you think this wasn't all planned?" She chuckled. "Oh Shining." Velvet smiled. Cadence and Shining Armor looked at each other, both of them surprised, but Cadence was only pretending.

   "This whole day was planned?!!!!!" They asked in unison. Twilight nodded and laughed.

   "Me having Mommy's coffee, not planned." Twilight said. She looked at Velvet. "Sorry, mommy." She apologized. Velvet hugged her daughter.

   "Maybe I'll let you have one cup a day in the mornings." She winked. Twilight smiled. Shining Armor was still shocked on how this whole day was just to drive him crazy.

  "Well, that worked." He said. He was tired, and sleepy from chasing Twilight around. Velvet and Night Light said Cadence could stay the night, and Cadence slept with Twilight, who was fast asleep with Mr. Smartypants. Cadence giggled because she was in on their plan too, she just kept it from Shining Armor. He lay awake in his bed, thinking about today's events. "Tomorrow better not be as crazy as today was." He said to himself. He fell asleep soon after, dreaming of whatever he dreamed of.
