Thunder Wing: Biography of a Pegasus
It was the second of March on the day the young colt was born. The Wonderbolts' own Spitfire went to see him on that first day. Thunder Wing, his parents named him. He stood strong for a newborn colt. By the end of the first day he could fly pretty well. Spitfire saw him as a prodigy a great edition to the Wonderbolts.
She began his training by introducing him to Cloudsdale where he met Rainbow Dash. Spitfire had chosen Rainbow Dash to be Thunder Wing's personal trainer. Over the course of 18 months, Thunder Wing was constantly training with Rainbow Dash. He was now a 2 year old pegasus with a highest wing-power of 7.3. Rainbow Dash had shown him Fluttershy's cottage and the three became great friends. But of all things Thunder Wing loved to do, pulling pranks on the other ponies with Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash was his favorite. By the time he was 12 he had became good friends with all the citizens of Ponyville. He was having the time of his life. Parties at Sugarcube Corner, adventures with Sweetie Bell, Applebloom, and Scootaloo, book club with Twilight. Everything was going great. One day Spitfire had given the news to Thunder Wing that she'd be giving him personal Wonderbolt training! Rainbow Dash may have been very jealous, but she was somehow able to conceal it. To congratulate him, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie set up a party in Cloudsdale. They invited everyone in Cloudsdale and most of them came. It was at this party where Thunder Wing met her...
She was a beautiful pegasus. She had a golden mane and tail, and a bright yellow body.
A soon as she walked into the room. The question was Who is that fabulous pony? She eyed Thunder Wing with her beautiful magenta eyes.It was love at first sight.She walked toward him with cautious steps. Then she shyly introduced herself.
"My name is Eternal Blossom, or just Blossom for short." she said with the voice of an angel. Thunder Wing replied,"I'm Thunder Wing." They looked into each others eyes and paused. The room was silent, all eyes were on Blossom and Thunder Wing. She broke the silence by asking him,"Will you be my special somepony?" Thunder Wing replied,"I would love to." They rubbed noses and left the party in silence. Who would have thought that love between two ponies could grow that fast.
Just because he had a girlfriend didn't mean he would forget about everyone. He still pulled pranks and still went to training with Spitfire, but Blossom came along with him to most of his activities. She was even able to tutor Twilight about things even she didn't know. She gave Rarity design tips, helped Pinkie Pie with planning parties. She was a perfect pony. She helped Fluttershy care for the animals. Oddly enough though, she still had't earned her cutie mark, neither had Thunder Wing. Sadly they are yet to find their special talents. One day Thunder Wing had told her that she needed to find a job if she wanted to find her special talent. He said he would find one too. Applejack offered her a job on the Apple family farm for 2 bits an hour. She refused to be payed for working. She just wanted to find her special talent. One day, Thunder Wing had decided to help her at good old Apple Acres. Big Macintosh had told them to harvest apples on the south side of the farm, so that's just what they did. After a few hours of work, Apple Jack, Thunder Wing, and Blossom had decided to meet the others at Fluttershy's cottage for lunch. Fluttershy and Apple Jack had begun making sandwiches and Rarity helped tidy up the kitchen after. All was going well until Fluttershy had noticed one of her plants was dying. Knowing Fluttershy's sensitive nature, she begun to panic. Blossom immediately went and mixed together fresh water, a pegasus feather, and pure rainbow. She poured the mixture into the pot of the plant and it immediately looked like the healthiest plant in Equestria. On her flank appeared her cutie mark. A bright blue plant! They all cheered, Thunder Wing even had cheers of joy. If only he could get his cutie mark too.
The next day the Pegasi had planned a terrible thunderstorm. Blossom had not herd of the scheduling of the storm and was away in Fillydelphia. She was supposed to return the day of the storm. As he covered the sky with clouds, Thunder Wing hoped she would return before the storm. The storm was scheduled to start in two hours. After everypony had gone home, in spite of the harsh storm, he stayed waiting for her through the rain. As the lightning began, he went home thinking she had stayed in Fillydelphia for the night. At home he turned on the television to watch news on the turn. He froze as he heard There is a lone pegasus flying through the storm being harshly battered by rain and wind. The pony appears to be yellow with a golden mane and tail. "Blossom," he realized. He flew straight out the window to get her. He flew fast and dogged lightning bolts as he searched for her. After ten minutes of searching he spotted her struggling to fly against the wind. He made a mad dash for her, but was struck by lightning and knocked unconscious. As he plummeted towards the ground, "Oh, no!" Blossom screamed, but the wind was too strong for her to try to catch him. As he fell, sparks jumped from his wings until electricity started circling them. There was a sudden massive jolt of electricity the jetted out from him as he regained consciousness and dashed towards Blossom at extremely high speeds. Electricity still enveloping his wings as he grabbed Blossom and, tears in his eyes, flew her flew the storm to safety. As soon as they reached safety, his cutie mark appeared! A wing with a lightning bolt striking it! Thunder Wing didn't notice the cutie mark. He hugged Blossom and cried. She rubbed his nose and smiled. "I'm just glad you saved me" she said.
They next day when Thunder Wing awoke, Blossom was nowhere to be found. He found a note on her bed. It read, I went for some early morning errands in Canterlot, i'll be at Rainbow Dash's for lunch today, you can meet me there. He did just that. When he met her at Dashie's house, they rubbed noses and she told him she had a special present for him. She reached in her saddle-bag and pulled out three tickets to the Wonderbolts air show in Cloudsdale. "You don't have to do this for me, you Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy can go." Thunder Wing said. "But you deserve it, you, me , and Rainbow Dash can go. C'mon, it'll be fun." she replied joyously. "Alrighty then. When is it?" "This evening at five. We'll meet you there Dashie. Me and Thunder Wing need to get him checked out at the doctor's. To see if he suffered any serious damage from the lightning." Thunder Wing and Blossom left for Ponyville Square. When the arrived at the doctor's, Thunder Wing immediately underwent X-Rays. He had fractured his left wing but never noticed it. It didn't hurt to fly or anything. The doctor took this as a concern and had him get a catscan. The doctors spent half an hour studying the results. Apparently electricity from the lightning was jumping across the separated bone, keeping the nerves blocked and acting as a brace between the two parts of bone. This basically meant that he has no serious injury and cold fly and continue daily tasks to no restraint. That means he could fly to Cloudsdale and see the air show.
It was fun of course, obviously for Rainbow Dash. Thunder Wing had decided he'd get something for Rainbow Dash for helping him become the stallion he is today. He gathered all the money he had, one-hundred, thirty-two bits and went to Cloudsdale's antique shop to purchase a genuine Wonderbolts costume. He took it in box and went over to Dashie's house.
