Celestia and Luna decided that it is time for Twilight to make the next step of being a princess. She should have her own student and they already found the perfect choice for her. The young unicorn Bright Side.

Twilight is eager to follow the task but with her own student comes more than she thought. She has to deal with the rather unfriendly older half-brother Fallen Dark, who is different than many other ponies in more than one way.

While Bright still studies all kinds of magic, Fallen already carries a title with great weight. He is a part of the high council of magic who take care of the magical problems of Equestria.

This story takes place before the second half of season 5.
