Prologue: Moving In
It was a bit of a shock for Mr. and Mrs. Glimmer when they had found a house in Ponyville to move into. They had been searching for hours until they had found a house in that village that had all the good essentials: reasonably priced, not cramped or small, had three floors, and, especially, was right next to Sugarcube Corner. They immediately told their son, Golden Glimmer, about it, then they packed up, sent a letter to the house's owners, and when they finally got a response, they flew off to Ponyville on a carriage pulled by pegasi.

After a couple minutes (pegasi were strangely fast) they landed in Ponyville. They walked around a bit, seeing the fantastic buildings, stopping at the Golden Oak Library to grab some books, and walked into their new home.
It was big, as you would expect from a pony house. Golden Glimmer dropped his bags in exhaustion, and Sapphire Dewdrop(his mom) flew up and started getting everything ready along with Crimson Glimmer(his dad) as Crimson started levitating the bags to the proper rooms. Golden Glimmer started moving his bags up to his room, with his Gamecolt and his coats. After an hour of long work, they finally got settled and decided to get a treat from Sugarcube Corner to celebrate.
Heading in, they saw tons of tasty treats. Golden's mom and dad ordered their snacks while Golden looked around at the different mouthwatering delectables. He was looking at a seductive strawberry cheesecake when suddenly somepony came up and said. "HI!!!"
He fell down in surprise, and saw the filly. She was pink, and had a balloons cutie mark. Her mane and tail were all poofed up, and had a wild look in her eyes. "OhmygoshyourenewandImsoexcitedandIwannathrowapartytowelcomeyoutothisnewtownjustbecauseI'msoEXCITED!!!!!"
She made some sort of "squee" sound and smiled. Golden was shocked. Could a pony be this hyper? Perhaps she'd just eaten too much cake.
Golden was about to say something but then Sapphire led him out of the bakery. Back in his new room, munching on a chocolate cupcake, he realized this town could change his very life, or mess it up very badly.
