Chapter 1 : An old (young) Friend
It was a normal day for Fluttershy ever since her recent friendship. The house was upside-down and multicolored enough to make Rainbow Dash jealous. There was General Discord throughout the house. No, really, Discord was in a military outfit flying around the house. By wording it like that, she could tell Discord was rubbing off in her. On her. Oh god, wrong fic. Anyway, as the house was nearing
upside-down orientation, there was a knock. who had to be Rainbow, being able to knock at this orientation. Discord quickly fixed the house orientation and dropped the outfit. Fluttershy opened the door, just to see Zecora!
"The child! He's grown wild!" And Zecora , with that, ran off. Fluttershy knew exactly what this might mean, and hurried after.
"Where are you going, exactly?" She heard a familiar voice ask as she ran. Discord, obviously. For the moment, he was in a sort of weird outfit with sweatbands, and string going from a pocket to a little ball in his ear.
"Discord! Cant talk now! Wait at the cottage!" Discord would obviously obey. Not! Discord decided to just keep going alongside Fluttershy to the hut.
"Awwww. That's no fun!" Fluttershy would obviously not be able to deal with Discord and Aiden together, but it was too late. They were there. The hut was still intact, hardly. There were holes and giant scratch marks everywhere, and a smoke cloud very close behind a few broken trees. Fluddershy prepares to meet the most dangerous animal she would ever meet. Ever. When she crossed in, clenching her Necklace that she got last time with her wings. When she crossed, she saw a quivering, young, red, alicorn colt with a beautiful black ash mane with his knees to his head and laying on the floor in a circle of crushed and scorched trees. Fluttershy approached quietly, and slowly. Her instincts kicked in, and she knew the best way to start was silently. She sat next to the colt, putting a wing around the little one, and pulling him gently up to hoof range, and put one around his neck. She let the sobbing youth snuggle into her wing for about 5 seconds. She was more aiming for 5 minutes or until he was ready to talk, to calm him properly, but Discord was there.
"Who is this? A friend?"
"Discord! Not now!" She said louder than she meant to be, but it didn't disturb the child so it was okay, for now.
"But come oooooooon! I want to kno-" Discord was cut off when Aiden snapped around and pointed a hoof that instantly grew into a very long claw and crushed Discord. Fluttershy was surprised, it being much worse than she had thought, but decided to continue letting the child wrap himself in her wings, cuddled up next to her. Discord wasn't getting up. What had happened to him? She knew she had to keep Aiden calm until he was ready to talk, and she met him first, in all fairness. After a surprisingly quiet few minutes, given the place and company. Aiden spoke up,
"Thanks, for coming." He said in a voice that was no louder than when she herself had to meet someone new. "I might have gone on a rampage if you weren't here. Flutter-" She saw his eyes widen, and start to slowly shade darker. "Its- I'm changing- help-" Fluttershy decided to back up slightly, and give the Blazewolf some room to come out into the world. after about a half a second, the change from a little alicorn to a wolf bigger than Twilight's Library. It was a majestic creature. With a dark red coat with occasional rips in the skin, blood replaced by fire, and black mane with burning ends. It was obviously was frightened about something, but this was something Fluttershy hadn't expected. Scared? Of what? She decided to calm it like she did the child. She slowly approached the frightened creature, her most calming face being worn. When she got there, she stroked the short, rough fur around one of the many burning cuts. The poor thing was scared of losing a fight, and its life. It was acting up so as to keep anyone from making him retrieve something dangerous. Fluttershy decided to let the poor thing come home with her.
"Zecora, watch Discord and try not to kill him if he wakes back up." Zecora nodded. The child was laying where the wolf was, after a few minutes. He was asleep, and Fluttershy picked him up with her wings and carried him back to the cottage, which wasn't very far. When she cot home, she put him in the guest bedroom. She hurried back to Zecora's. She got there, and just had a hunch that discord was awake. The outside of the hut could make Dash jealous, and it was rotating. Typical. She waited for it to come back half circle, and knocked. The house stopped spinning, and the door opened.
"Discord shall be history, if you let him be.
I'm so terribly sorry for him, but Aiden needs to rest. I can take him somewhere else, though." Zecora didn't even respond, she just quickly grabbed a flask with reddish vapor in it, and opened it. The vapor dissipated, and everything was back to normal. Fluttershy heard Discord's obvious disapproval
"Hey, whats the big deal zebra!"
"Discord!" Fluttershy exclaimed almost as loud as Applejack's normal voice. "Didn't I teach you to behave better than that?!"
"I can't understand her! What am I supposed to do?" Discord defended.
"Come on, maybe someone can babysit you while I deal with other things." Fluttershy retorted.
"That's another thing! Whats with that kid?! He has magic more surprising than me! I will not drop this."
"Long story, Discord. Just follow me and I will explain on the way." Fluttershy told the chaotic character.
"Lead the way, my dear."
