//-------------------------------------------------------// Forget It, Twilight -by luna the writer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Forget It, Twilight //-------------------------------------------------------// Forget It, Twilight The moon was high in the night sky, but the streets were as busy as ever. Cars of every type and colour crowded the ashphalt roads with their loud engines and honking horns. Twilight Stella Sparkle sat in the city bus alone. Her hair was in its usual untidy bun, and her bangs were just low enough to partially cover her thick, black, nerd glasses. Clutched tightly to her chest were two books, one slightly thicker than the other. She wore a far off look in her eyes; her mouth was not smiling and looked like it hadn't done so in hours. Occasionally the bus would drive over a bump and er backpack would fall off the seat. After 20-30 minutes of being bored in the empty bus, eventually she got to her stop. Her current living place, or her house. It was a sad little  duplex where Sunset Shimmer, her former girlfriend, and present roommate also lived. Radio blaring, and TV still on, it was clear Sunset had left in haste. Twilight was curled up with a book when Sunset came in the door. Red-eyed, upset, and tired, she walked past Twilight, ignoring her completely. She went to rummage in the fridge and came back with ice cream. She went in her room and shut the door.  Sometimes Sunset's room wasn't even used. She would come to Twilight's room, and they would cuddle until they fell asleep. Twilight was tempted to comfort her, but realised it was pointless. The sting of the words were still present in Sunset's heart, and Twilight was certain it would make her feel worse. Twilight had never loved anyone as much as she loved Sunset. Tears began to form in her eyes, how could she have made such a big mistake, and hurt the one she loved so much? This wasn't the first time her actions had hurt others. Twilight had an odd empty feeling inside. She set down her book, took a deep breath, and stood up. She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, took another deep breath, and walked slowly and quietly towards Sunset's room. Carefully, she knocked. Twilight could hear shuffling around, and the TV being turned off. She came to the door in her PJs. "What do you want?" she mumbled under her breath. Twilight twiddled her thumbs and fixed her gaze on the floor. "I didn't mean what I said...honest!" Sunset leaned against the door-frame. "Mm-hmm. Sure." There was a heavily noticeable tone of sarcasm in her voice. Twilight began to be in tears again. "Sunset, I..." She wiped her glasses. Twilight stared at Sunset. This clearly wasn't her. Still crying, she turned around. "If you can't accept my genuine apology, then maybe what I said is true." She walked away. Sunset's pupils shrank to the size of pinpricks. "Twilight...Twilight, wait!" Twilight stopped. "What you said is halfway true. I am pretty bull headed. And I can be insensitive sometimes...I shouldn't get so upset when somepony tells me the truth...Imagine what would happen if you were actually insulting me or making fun of me...which I know you would never do..." Twilight peered around the corner. "Really?" Sunset nodded. "Really." Twilight walked up to Sunset. "I love you." Sunset grinned. "I might just love you more." Sunset went back into her room, and Twilight followed. They sat on the bed. Twilight leaned her head on Sunset's chest. Slowly, Sunset slid her hand towards Twilight's. She grabbed hold of it, and Twilight grabbed back. They sat there cuddling until Twilight did something that surprised herself. Slowly she brought her face closer to Sunset's, inch by inch...and then their lips met. Shocked, Twilight pulled away, but Sunset drew her back. Twilight pulled away again, sat up, and Sunset followed. Sunset wrapped her arms around Twilight, and Twilight did the same. Their lips  met again in a passionate kiss, and Twilight pulled away for the final time. "I love you Sunset," she murmured, before turning over and going to sleep. ************************************************************************************ Sunset woke to beams of sunlight slighly warming her face. She looked over and discovered Twilight was gone. Yawning and stretching, she uncovered the blanket from around her and opened her closet, looking for something different to wear. I don't care about that stuff, she thought, and grabbed her leather jacket and pink shirt. She made the bed, opened the curtains the rest of the way, and stretched once more. She opened the door and walked slowly towards the bathroom. She took a shower and washed her hair, then put on her clothes. When she walked out to the dining room, she saw a cute-looking Twilight holding a giant cake. It read 'Sorry For Being Mean, I Deserve Something Really Bad and Thank You For Cuddling With Me, It Was Fun. There were a few candles all over different spots if the cake. Sunset laughed. "This is for me?" Twilight smiled. "Yeah." Sunset smiled. "It's funny." "Yeah." Twilight was silent for a moment. "Want some?" Sunset nodded. The two of them sat there laughing, talking, and eating cake. It was all wonderful, wasn't it?
