the greatest gift

it was was three days before Scootaloo's 14th birthday and Rainbow dash was nervous, she had a very special gift for Scootaloo, one that would change her life but had no idea how to give it to her, she needed help so she flew to Twilight's house with the hope that she could help. she knocked on the door and twilight opened it letting her friend inside "Twilight i need to talk to you about something important"

Rainbow said, twilight nodded "its about Scootaloos gift" she continued as they both sat down "i don't know how to give it to her without rejecting it, now before you say that i’m getting all worked up over a gift, what i want to give her will change everything its something i wanted to give to her for years but she was always to young" she finished "what is it?" Twilight asked

"i have it right here" Rainbow replied pulling a scroll from her tail "now before i let you see it have to understand that this is not a prank i wouldn't joke about this" she said giving the scroll to Twilight who unrolled and read it, her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped when she saw what it was, it was Scootaloos birth certificate identifying Rainbow dash as her mother.

"rainbow  how you always said Scootaloo was your little sister and now you found out shes your daughter how come you never told anypony, how come you never told Scootaloo?" twilight asked in shock

"i never told anypony because the memory hurt to much and she was to young to understand what i went through so she could be here." rainbow confessed "the day she was conceived was the day i lost everything." she said with a pain in her voice "it all started like any other day i just got out of flight school i walked home like any other day my dad wouldn't be home until later as i remember he was a guard in the upper rainbow factory he helped guard the inside of a room with something called the Pegasus device in it.

anyways i walked home and what i found in the living room ill never forget my mom was lying on the floor in a puddle of her own blood with multiple stab wounds in her side with a knife. i ran to her praying she was alive but she was gone i sat holding her head crying not wanting to leave her, the next thing i knew my dad walks in the door and sees me with blood on my hooves holding my lifeless moms head with a knife in her side and attacks me.

i was known to have anger problems but killing my mom was something that was unthinkable i would rather have cut off my wings with a dull rusty hacksaw than hurt my mom but my dad blamed me, he beat me until i physically could not move saying things i wouldn't say to my worst enemy then he than did the unthinkable he raped me when he was finally done with me he picked me up by the tail and threw me outside telling me to never come back he slammed the door and that's the last time i saw him. how i stayed conscious is beyond me, so i gritted my teeth and stood up, my world spun as i limped to the edge of the clouds seeing Fluttershys cottage in the distance i knew she was the only one that could help, so i fell off the cloud and glided almost all the way to Fluttershys cottage the last thing i remembered before i blacked out was knocking on her door when i woke up i was in her bed covered in bandages my ribs where taped and i had casts on my wings, my muzzle, and my left hind leg. i tried to sit up to see if she where my savior was but my world spun and i blacked out again.

when i finally woke up again Fluttershy was changing my IV bag i tried to speak to her to get her attention but all that came out was a moan thankfully that was enough when u saw those eyes i knew in my heart that i was going to be okay for the next few months she was my rock, my foundation, my, well everything a month and a half later i noticed strange things happening to me i was violently ill in the morning and i was hungry for strange foods like pickles with peanut butter so i told Fluttershy she told me that both where signs of pregnancy i didn't want to believe it she said one simple test was all it would take to tell if i really was pregnant but in the end i used a half dozen and every last one came back positive but by the sixth one it finally sank in." said dash with a pain in her voice, twilight was in shock no wonder dash never said anything "w-what happened then" she asked "i thought about having an abortion." dash replied "i wasn't ready to have kids not to mention i didn't want to be reminded of what happened to me, but Fluttershy being as kind as she is, told me what i could be stealing away from this world as a singer, an artist, a wonderbolt, that last one really hit home for me if i knew i could be stealing away something I've always wanted to be i couldn't live with myself so i decided to have her but only under one condition she wouldn't know the truth until she was 14, months later she was born.
