In the distant future, humanity's armies are made up of self replicating machines of war lead by individuals known as Drone Commanders.

Leonard Silva, a rookie Drone Commander fresh out of the academy, is assigned to set up shop on the newly discovered planet IHP-19.

However, his mission becomes more complicated when he finds out that the planet is inhabited by primitive lifeforms.

Now he seeks to find his place in this peaceful world as he awaits for the expedition to arrive to study the planet's anomalous orbit.
