Apple Bloom was practicing her potion skills in her room. She was testing on an apple. Her goal was to make the apple grow larger. Finally, she finished the potion, and poured a drop on the apple, but it still stayed in its normal size. "Hmm, I thought that would work," Apple Bloom thought out loud. Suddenly, the apple grew arms, legs, and a face. The apple appeared to be dancing. Apple Bloom gasped. "Wow, I brought an apple to life!" She exclaimed. "I'll name you.... Dancey." She put Dancey on her back and went to tell her friends.
"Cool!" Scootaloo exclaimed when she heard about the dancing apple. "Everypony should have a dancing apple," Sweetie Belle said. "Great idea, Sweetie Belle," Apple Bloom said. "I can whip up a batch of apples right now."
The CMC set up their stand, and put a sign that said Apple Bloom's Dancing Apples! Rarity approached their stand. "Hello, my little fillies, and what is it that you are doing today?" She asked. "We're giving away dancing apples. You want one?" Scootaloo asked. "How many bits?" Rarity asked as she opened her purse. "Their for free," Scootaloo said. "I insist," Rarity said. "Okay, if you say so," Scootaloo gave Rarity an apple, and collected the bits.
"Are you selling dancing apples? I want one too!" A Ponyville resident said.
Soon, a whole line of ponies were lined up to get their very own dancing apple. "Hey, didn't I see you before?" Scootaloo asked before she gave an apple to a customer. "Yes, you did. I just wanted more apples because their soo cute!" The customer replied. "...Ninety, ninety one, ninety two, ninety three..." Sweetie Belle said as she counted the bits.
"Hey, Apple Bloom, we're running out of apples," Scootaloo whispered. "How many are left?" Apple Bloom asked. Scootaloo took a glance towards the wagon where they loaded the apples. "One left," Scootaloo replied. "I can't make more while this big line gets impatient. The process takes a few minutes," Apple Bloom said. When the last apple was given away, Scootaloo announced, "Sorry, we're out of apples. Come again tomorrow for more." Disappointment rippled through the line as they slowly dispersed. "Well crusaders, looks like we gotta set up the stand again tomorrow." Scootaloo said. "I counted the total. We have two thousand seventy five bits!" Sweetie Belle announced. "We're rich!" Scootaloo exclaimed. "Crusaders, this calls for a celebration! I say we go to Sugarcube Corner."
Apple Bloom woke up from bed and went downstairs for breakfast. She saw Applejack making some apple pancakes. "Hey there lil sis," Applejack said. "Hi Applejack," Apple Bloom said. "Apple Bloom, before ya go and sell some of 'em apples, can ya also make some for our business?" Applejack asked. "Sure, we can even start sellin' 'em here!" Apple Blooms said.
The CMC loaded their wagon with a ton of apples and headed to set up their stand near the farm.. Their customers were early. This time, there were more customers than yesterday. "I've heard that the news of the dancing apples had spread across Equestria," Sweetie Belle whispered. "We're famous!" Some customers had to wait for hours until they get a dancing apple. There were many repeated customers as well. "Hey Apple Bloom," Scootaloo whispered." Do you think you could make more dancing apples? I think we're gonna run out earlier this time." "I'm out of the ingredients for the potion, but I can ask Zecora for some," Apple Bloom said. "I'll be back."
She approached Zecora's hut and knocked on the door. "Good evening, Apple Bloom. It is pleasing to see you," Zecora greeted. Apple Bloom stepped in. "Hey Zecora, can I have more of the ingredients you gave me yesterday?" Apple Bloom asked. "Oh, why so? Zecora asked. "Me and me friends are sellin' dancin' apples. I need the ingredients to make the potion to make more," Apple Bloom explained. Zecora's eyes widened. "When you add the potion to the apple, it will have dark magic. The events will be very tragic," Zecora said. "What?" Apple Bloom asked.
Zecora went to her pot, and Apple Bloom followed. "This apples may seem innocent, but we are ignorant to what they really are,"Zecora said. An image of a dancing apple and a pony appeared in the pot. "These apples are no longer harmless. They now posses darkness." The image shifted into the apple torturing the pony.
"Oh no, I gotta warn everypony!" Apple Bloom said. "Hurry, my little filly," Zecora said. Apple Bloom ran into Ponyville.
It had already happened. Ponies were running everywhere. Their eyes bloodshot, their mane and tails tangled, their coats a mess. Apple Bloom approached her friends hiding under the stand. "Zecora just told me the apples were evil!" Apple Bloom informed. "That explains it," Scootaloo said. Apple Bloom spotted Twilight trying to fight off the apples. The rest of her friends were fighting them too. "Twilight, I just found out that the apples were evil!" Apple Bloom informed. "None of the spells are working against them. Their dark magic is strong. They keep producing more apples!" Twilight said.
"These apples were cooler when they were delicious," Rainbow Dash said. "That's it!" Apple Bloom said. "If you can't beat 'em, eat 'em!" Apple Bloom took an apple and took a bite out of it. Twilight gripped an apple with her magic and took a bite out of it too.
There were no apples left in sight. The ponies all had full stomachs. Celestia's chariot approached. Everypony bowed down. "Twilight, you said there was an apple invasion, and you needed my help." "Not anymore," Twilight motioned to apple Bloom. "Apple Bloom had solved the problem. "That was very brave of you, Apple Bloom," Celestia said. "I'm proud of ya, lil sis," Applejack tousled her mane.
Mean while, not all the apples were eaten. Dancey was left behind. Dancey luckily made a quick escape into the Everfree Forest. There, produced an army of apples.
